You can disable the Push email function in xpressmail by going to the xpressmail settings on your cell phone. In Windows Mobile, go to Start. Programs, Xpress Mail Settings, Update Preferences,and uncheck the Enable Push check box, then OK, OK, OK. Of course, without Push you'll have to do a Send and Receive to get your email when you want it, not when someone else is pushing it to you. That's better than paying for the unwanted text message!

This number texts you to try to notify AT&T XpressMail that an email has been received.

Putting your number on the do not call registry will not help with this problem. You have to contact at&t and have them disable the.xpressmail push email feature on your account. These txt messages are an outdated, hackish way they used to get around the fact that they didn't have true push email yet. Again, these are not spam messages; they are "new email" notifications that your phone is not equipped to interpret properly.
Call customer service and have them fix it for you.

At&T just told me it has to do w/ Xpress mail...if you no longer have it ( I switched phones), you have to put the sim card in the old phone, delete the email, then switch back.

I have been receiving this text over and over for about a month now and it is not even a telemarketer of some type.  It random garbage.  If I didnt have unlimited texting I would be rather pissed. I spoke with ATT and they said to put my number into the do not call registry (www.donotcall.gov)and also put some type of a do not solicit block on my number to help block telemarketers.  All I can do is delete them.  I dont even open them.

I'm on customer service with AT&T now and I told then what you said.  Thanks for the tip!  I just switched my PDA to my business phone and am now using a regular phone for email and texting.  I;ve been getting this messages ever since.  It makes total sense!

This is a "push" message that AT&T/cingular uses to get your Treo (or other device) to calla nd sync your incoming mail, usually Xpress mail to your Treo or other Blackberry-type phone/PDA/device. Do a search on the number--it pops up!
