I got text messages from 502-627-0571, stating it was from Avelyn D Campbell. Allegedly she was orignally from the area that I live in in the United States. "She" claimed that she lived in Kentucky and then moved to Spain and her parents died. She claims to be a pharmacist and was in Africa with a fundraiser...Kick Against Malaria. She tried to have a relationship with me over texting. I knew it had to be a hoax/scam when she was way too move with her talk and asked me for money because the African banking system was terrible and wouldn't cash her check to pay for her motel room. I hope this helps others. I haven't had any issues with losing money or identity fraud yet and I hope I don't.

Got my check today in the mail for $2450.85, supposedly it's a online job for accounts payable. The money was for me to set up my home office. Thank goodness my husband notice before I did that it was fake. Check is from Kelly Tractor Co. Miami FL, but LOL the # was from Fresno, CA.

I received a text from that same number but the name was jamesgary49 but what really confuses me is the one text that was sent was in reference to a house we have been talking about renting. Hmmmm very stumped now after reading all the other comments.

So it is well documented from the preceding 9 pages of postings that this number is a scam.
1111-440-601 or 111-144-0601, or any derivations of 600 at the end is a scam. I almost fell for the first one because I had just shared a google doc with a yahoo user, and then this number said a yahoo member would like to contact me. Then a second for a phony interview came with a different 600 number.

The real questions is, how do you effectively remove the phone listing or tracking? Blocking the phone numbers is only a qucik fix.

Received text messages from this unknown number offering a job position with P& G company, after giving out some minor personal info like name, address, telephone number, and work experience, he said I am qualified for the job and that I am hired for an online job right now because there is no office yet in my location. Company benefits are complete with house and car after 1 year of good service. After checking online, I didn't bother to report for "work" on the supposedly 1st day of my "work". He said P&G will send me check to buy soft wares needed to do the job as well as to buy HP laptop from the company's vendor. He asked me to follow up on the release of check Monday, we were online last Friday. I didn't went online Monday, received text messages from him trying to follow-up.  On Saturday, I went online and reported the activity as possible ID Theft to the 3 major credit bureaus and the SSA.  The person's name was under hirepndg, a yahoo account to communicate with him via yahoo messenger.  If you are a Hacker, a scammer, you cannot go away with this man! Karma will take care of you!

I received a text message from this number. They are claiming to be part of United Health Group. And wanted me to get online for a job interview. But when you asked questions they would not responded. Except to say check out this website: www.unitedhealthgroup.com and that the job was strictly online for a bookkeeper and admin assistant. with pay of 25 to 35 dollars an hour.

I met this whatever he, she, is online claimed to be a Soldier in Afghanistan, we have been emailing back and forth for about a month now. Till recently he asked for a photo of me. Till this day he has not asked for anything yet, but when I asked for his APO ADDRESS HE GOT UPSET he is on some special forces and not able to release that information. That raised a red flag. He said he's been stationed there 4 years now. OK The above I copy and paste unto here is from my cellphone. The email address he was using frivera19621010@gmdil.com.   And yes when I saw that I immediately called my carrier let them know changed my #.    How in They got my #?   Closed out my email account

Various messages from a kimberlycortright over the course of the last three days.  Always requesting a reply from me.  It is certainly some kind of scam or hacking scheme.

reply with this: STOP
Then delete whole message stream

The number was ten digits (you put the hyphens in the wrong place).  It came from (111) 144-0601, which is a short code ... the message came from a yahoo user account.  Simply reply with "STOP" (no quote marks) and the number should then be blocked.

This so called couple are suppost to be from worcester, and just signed up on a mission called the HIV prevention program in Africa and they wanted to rent out there 2 bedroom home on byron st ..what is sad is that they are even posting the african children and a pic of some white couple with the kids, that is who is supposidly sending me the emails saying your approved to move in but we cant see the place first we just have to send in the money and they will send keys and paperwork after...yeah right..I dont think so so REPORT IT TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AT 202-326-2222, CUZ I DID

I received two unsolicited  texts within 30 seconds of each other.   The first came from 1111440600 and said: A Yahoo! user has sent you a message. Reply to that SMS to respond. Reply INFO to this SMS for help or go to y.ahoo.it/imsms.

The second one comes from 1111440601 and says:  logandejesus657: Hello you've collected a  fr ee call this number now ,888,+986,+8123


These are copied and pasted from the original message.  I will be reporting both numbers.

I received a text message from this number.  Said it was from Superlove1978@sbcglobal.  It asked me what time bible study was.  Very suspicious.

I just received one of these junk texts "Hello you won a cruise vacation no-cost dial us at 18889986754 winning code #7271" Great, i better not keep getting this crap because I don't have any texting service and AT&T likes to charge you for reading texts.

My guess is this is a central location where all text message come from. I thought this number appeared to tell how many minutes I have used - when I left the call.

You people need to get your tinfoil hats out !!! All it is is a text message from yahoo. I have a friend overseas & she uses the text to phone feature on yahoo to let me know she's online. Same number shows up on my phone. I'm shure scammers also use this, it doesn't make the number a scam, just the person using the feature. It says right on the caller id who's sending the message. If you don't recognize it, don't open it.Kinda like how most people get viruses on their computer, they click y when they should have clicked n.
