Called twice today. Each time, the free service I subscribe to (Nomorobo.com) cut them off after 1 ring! I, too, live in Wisconsin and don't even have a PC. Just look at the digits in the phone number and it is obvious that it is a scam.

I live in S.E. Wisconsin, I get calls from Out of Area 2-112-345-6789. A man with an East Indian accent claims that my computer has been reporting "Viral Infections" that are causing "crashes". They ask permission to hook up a remote desktop connection, I let them(Foolish, I know) and when this guy said they could fix it for a $100.00 "Lifetime Fee" I said goodbye, disconnected my internet connection, scanned my computer and deleted all folders with the title "AMMYY" which was the programs title. Would someone please find and BUST these scammers, preferably into small pieces.

In answer to what I believe to be rhetorical questions, by some, why aren't these people stopped and this should be a crime:  well, you can't stop criminals (no one in our Federal Government cares) and yes, this is criminal and they are committing crimes.  The only solution is not to answer the phone.  I know that doesn't satisfy those who are getting phone calls, in the middle of the night, I'd be teed off, too.  I just got a call, from this number, yesterday, at 6PM EST, which seems to be their MO, however, judging from the posts I've seen, here, they seem to have expanded their "enterprise".  I didn't answer, but they left a voicemail with a woman saying, "Hello, hello, hello" and male voices with the aforementioned, thick Indian accents echoing, in the background.  When is some intelligent, enterprising inventor going to create a GPS locator incorporated with caller ID, which tracks and reports exact coordinates of these perpetrators?  When and if this happens, they will make a fortune!!  But, these criminals will probably soon find a way around it, alas.

Got a call about 9:30 on March 3, 2014. Picked it up, but did not answer. I have become very leary of calls with nos. I do not recognize.  Call it paranoid, but I look up the no. first and then call back if it seems legitimate.
This call came to a Wisconsin no.  Oh the joys of modern living!

Called from some computer IT department. Heavy Pakistani accent. I just hung up.

I received a phone call on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 123456789.They said that they belong to Windows software support; they said that my computer has lots of corrupted files and that I?ll be sued. I ask why? He voice sounded Chinese. I hardly to understand and he was impatient...He passed me the senior supervisor of Microsoft. I asked how much will cost me to remove all the viruses and he responded about $120.00. I said that  I was not interested, thanks.? It was the end of the conversation

I have received several calls from 112-564-8921 and it's a scam.  They pretend to be Microsoft Technicians and tell you they need you to log them onto your PC so they can fix it because they (Microsoft) are getting error messages.  I called Microsoft and they said their technicians don't do proactive calling and have no way of knowing about error messages.   It's a scam.  They are trying to get you to let them on your computer so they can steal all of your personal information.  Don't do it.

I received two calls from 1129553569 last night, June 17 2013. These calls were both after midnight and ruined a good night sleep.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer but there was a message on my voice mail this morning, couldn't make out what it was but there was giggling and some chatter.  I tried the call back and reverse look up but nothing works.  Anyone with any info please?

They seem to have made their way down to Texas.  I was just called, didn't answer.

These a-holes called us in Dallas at 5:30 AM. Obviously overseas scammers unfamiliar with our time zones.

Just got a call from this # (12-345-6789) and it was 1:30 in the morning! It rang 3 times while I was searching for the phone, and then stopped. 1:30 in the morning!!!! REALLY???!!!!

I also have gotten a call few times usually during the day or early evening and it shows up as 12-345-6789. Very EARLY this morning they called at 2:22 AM & woke us out of a deep sleep & when you answer NO ONE is there! You imagine when answering at that hour that something has happened to a family member  or an emergency. These people need to be stopped!!!

I do that all the time. If the person speaks to me in a the same language, then I make up a bunch of nonsense words. I talked to one guy for several minutes until he became irrated and told me I was just making up a language and he hung up. I love irratating the telemarketers. lol

I live in Austin, tx and got a phone call from this number at 12 am! I answered and then they hung up. Not happy with who ever the heck it was.

They woke me up from a sound sleep when they called at 5:32am this morning. Number showed up on caller id as 12-345-6789, which I couldn't see clearly at the time. I am pretty sure it only rang twice when I answered it, and as soon as I picked it up, I heard the line disconnect. I can't believe some people have nothing better to do than to try this stunt with people over the phone.

I received a call from 12-345-6789 at 5am in Texas, USA. It dropped when I answered. I traced the call in the internet to a "joi" in Rufus,New York. I don't know what to think about it. Got a call from 12-345-6789 last Saturday at 5:45 AM (!!!!!) and then twenty minutes later at 6:05 AM!!!! now they just called again tonight at 10:05 PM!! Freaks me out and makes me worry that something is wrong with someone I care about. Only rings 2-3 times, and when I picked it up all three times, no one answers and it just goes to a dial tone, as if I just picked up the phone to call someone. Then I got scared that someone was somehow casing us.

This damn number called my house at 10:30 pm. Really what happen to the days that if your phone rings after 9 pm is an emergency? I said hello it beeped like they were calling someone else.  WTF can we really not do anything about this.  We have 4 grown kids & 1 grandchild & these kinds of calls are harassment!  I need and want help with these slime balls.  Why do we have to deal with this REALLY?
