These people keep on calling - mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends. As the guy above said - getting abusive with them makes no difference, they just keep right on. I have a phone from Virgin with no caller display so I have to either disregard any calls coming in or risk it being the fraudsters. They announce themselves to me as Santander Card or sometimes as Asda Banking. They sometimes ask for a Mary Doherty (unknown person). I don't know how to make them stop and have just about given up answering my phone.

Don't give in to these fraudsters!!!
Some time last year I had a call from these idiots pretending to be calling on behalf of GE Money for my House of Fraiser card - I happen to have one of those. It sounded legit so I took the bait and gave my credit card detail to make a payment over the phone (was late with my payment). The event that took place a few days later was to justify my suspicion after I gave my card detail to these idiots - I guess I was the idiot after-all.
The initially charged a Vodafone pre-pay card with £50, a day later topped up again with £50. Then 3 days later booked two separate hotel accommodation through a company called City Break totalling almost £800 on a bogus name. My bank had to block my card and later issued me a new one. Luckily, my insurance covered me for such theft so I got all my money back. I called HOF customer service and they confirmed firmly to me that they will never call their customer over the phone to make payment. Their only means of communication is strictly through regular post and not via phone.
Months later they started calling me again with the same old trick. I've verbally abused the callers on different occasions when they called me, but do you think they stop calling? No bloody way. As a matter of fact, they called me today twice even after showering verbal abuse to the Asian accented guy (no disrespect) who called me just on Tuesday. I just didn't pick up today and wont any longer, waste of my time.
Again called HOF today, but of course they don't work on Sunday so I couldn't speak to anyone.
