Thanks to all who have reported this number. They have tried to get me for several weeks claiming something my computer is doing is affecting the internet connection I have. They are so hard to understand that I have always given up until today I almost let them talk me into something that would or could have been very bad. Again, Thanks to all.

Just got a call - but I only answer calls from numbers that I have keyed into my cell phone. I suspected it was a scam & found out that I was correct by going to this site. Someone told me that one could just hit
0#0#0# repeatedly & it would wipe your number out of their records. Worth a try, folks.

Just received a call from 123-456-7809, a guy with a Indian accent telling me that I have a computer issue, I told him right away that he is a scam artist and I am reporting his number right away then I hang up on him. Obviously there's nothing wrong with my PC, be careful not to fall for this one, all he wanted was accessing my PC remotely.

I got the same calls. I now enjoy messing with them, I ask them for their name and where they are calling from, etc. I want the name of their company and phone number and that I will call them back. Then I let them speak. I then end with the fact that I do not own a computer. They hang up. I figure the minutes they waste with me is saving someone else!

How did you get their numbers blocked? I would love to do that for my elderly parents. Thanks in advance.
| VR 2013-10-10 14:54:09 Unknown |
These people have my elderly parents about 5 times a day. Finally they called when I was there and spoke with them. They claimed they were calling on behalf of my parent's ISP. So, I asked them who their ISP was (knowing they were scummers - no I didn't misspell scammers - I meant scummers...) Anyway, he didn't know the ISP and I told him that if there was a problem with the computer, WE would be the ones calling asking for help. I told him that I wanted his name or rep #. He asked me if I thought he was dumb enough to tell me and I told him, "Yes, you are. You are dumb enough to call this number 4-5 times daily when you have been told each time to not call. So, yes. I believe you are dumb enough to tell me your name." Then I told him I was recording the call. He hung up. I think the best thing to do from reading other posts is to not pick up when calls are received. I will encourage my parents to do that so their # will be dropped. Too bad the phone companies do not block calls...

They have called three times using various numbers.
I have repeatedly requested they remove my number from their calling list - they haven't.
I looked on the web using the last number - everyone agrees this is a scam but what do you do?
I can get a whistle and blow it but that doesn't seem like a real answer.
How do we get off their call list???

1st she asked to speak to my husband, he passed away 41/2 years ago. Then she asked if I was the primary user of my computer & if it was off please turn it on because someone was trying to hack it. I answered yes you and hung up. I notified my local police dept. and was told it definitely was a scam, they want you to go to a specific website so they can steal personal information. DO NOT DO IT.

Usually I don't answer numbers I don't recognize or don't have a valid name. This number said "Unknown name". After a short pause, a man with an Indian accept answered -
Are you the owner of a computer? No. Can I talk to someone in the house who uses a computer? This is a very important call about your computer.
I told him to take me off the call list and he actually started arguing with me. I yelled NO and hung up. Then I reported to donotcall.gov (probably worthless... but).

I keep getting calls from this number. They insist my computer is infected, They call every other day and sometimes twice a day. I listen to their speel and they tell me to go to my computer so they can fix the infection. At this point I tell them I do not have a computer and they hang up.

Remember, when you have a stressful day, these people are a great blessing. When they call remember that they are crooks and that the scam is really working against some people. Rip into them, vent, swear, scream, let it all out. I can guarantee that they deserve much more than this anyway. I personally love calls like this as I can let loose. My wife is normally watching laughing as I do it.

I just got called by these guys yesterday. First off, I am an IT Specialist and realized these guys were a fraud right away. I wanted to have fun though so starting picking their brain and see how they were going to do it. They told me that as an American I had a virus on my computer. When I asked what I meant by American they told me not to worry, they are not a scam and that "they only call Americans, not Canadians or Mexico but only the US since only and all of the US has the infection". Interesting statement from them. I followed their instructions until I was about to give them control of my computer and then ripped into them. Yes, very very bad profanity was used. Made my morning.

I received a call from someone calling themselves stop emarketing working for Microsoft. That I had some malware in my computer and I needed to go online to www.1stopemarket.com and call them back at this number 1-888-514-1650, because I told them I was not able to be at my computer at this time. They wanted me to do this while they were on talking to me on the phone. I told them they would have to give me the info and I would get back with them when I was in front of my computer. The phone number on my caller ID was 123-456-7809. I did not return their call.

The DNC list isn't going to help you on these calls. Not until the Indians of Asia start purchasing and abiding by it.

it rang, the answering machine came on, no message...If I don't recognize the number, I don't pick up..but it does get annoying.

This is a scan. Ive been nice to them about removing my number. Ive been mean to them about calling on my work number and they still call! I even called them sand n****rs and they still call! hahahaha! Not sure why our government is running off to Sierra when they cant take the problems in this country! Oh wait i know why cuz Americans are not putting enough money in our governments pocket! Anyway nothing can be done to stop these people from calling.
JUST ASK how they know your computer has the problem they say it has and they CAN'T explain to you how they know.
Keep asking that question and the calls will stop for a while but they will call again and again and again.

got a call today from this number but no one left message...however in reading all your comments I did get constant calls that say private number and out of frustration I picked it up very firmly insisting the person tell me who they are why are they using a private number...a lady with heavy accent would not give me the number she was calling from but kept talking about computeres and windows, but I just kept yelling at her about using private number and to tell me her phone number....she continued trying to talk about computer. she eventually hung up as I was pretty nasty and the more she refused to tell me her phone number the louder I got. I pretty much thought the computer and window scammers never call me again....guess I was wrong as the 123-456-7809 calling again, well I can break some ear drums if I am angry enough. (LOud and piercing when needed)

Got a call from this number yesterday 123-456-7809. The man on the other end had a very thick Indian accent, told me he was calling from New York,(calling from India) and that He worked for the Technical Department of Microsoft. He was trying to tell me than my desktop pc had a virus. All he was, was an f-n scammer that wanted to take over my computer.
