number calls and no one is ever there

I get calls from this number too.  From what I can find its some sort of scammers.  Happens when people are selling puppies a lot but thats not the only time they call.  Dont answer is what I hear.

I have puppies listed on puppy find- is this a trend with other people getting this # calling them?

Some guy with thick Indian accent, couldn't understand half of what he said was trying to verify the e-mail address of our CEO, I told him I couldn't do that, then he said he understood we use precious metals in our mfg process I told him we didn't then he said it was a survey.  I told him I couldn't answer his questions because it is against our company policy to participate in over the phone surveys.  He kept asking more questions and i told him I was ending the call and to have a good day and I hung up.

It's Mettler Toledo, they just called again and I told him we don't participate in over the phone surveys that I was on their website and we wouldn't use anything they have anyway.

Same time every morning my phone rings and it is this # and no one says anything. I am going to contact my cell phone company and see if they know about this #

I have been getting calls from this number on my home and cellphone.  They started about the same time I started selling my puppies.  No one is there when I answer.  This morning they called at 6:30 and again at 7:30.  Very annoying!!!!

Was some male with india accent.  Wanting puppies.  Not sure what they are up to, but I told him I don't have puppies now.  He hung up on me without a word.  Think it is a puppy mill from the sounds of it. Google search says the area code is Texas.

Keeping getting phone calls. Return call but the call won't go though.

havent answered yet but it's the same thing, i placed an add for my puppies about two weeks ago and right around that time the calls started, usually around 0900 CST.  very curious as to what this could be...

If you don't know the number just don't answer. I too have been getting several calls from this number and area code 024.. I'm not paying to talk to them... I placed an ad too. This is getting annoying, but I just don't answer it....

I have recieved a few calls from this number but havent answered because I'm at work.  I have puppies for sale also.  Have no idea who or what the number is but I guess I wont answer it.

Got a call from them and the line went dead after about 4 secs.  I placed an ad for puppies a week ago and the ad is still going.

I punched that number up on Google are code finder and it said it was in
Beckville Tx.

I, too, have been receiving calls from this number since I placed my free puppy ad in the local newspaper.  Why would someone in the Bahamas want to adopt my dog?  Weirdos!

I just received a call from this number, and I also have placed an ad in our local paper, giving a free puppy to a good home.  Thank goodness, he's already been placed into a local loving family.

We have just received another call from this phone number.  This makes four or five over the last week.  We have placed an ad in our local paper to sell our puppies.  When we answered tonight, there was no answer only music like being on hold, then switched lines and an obvious Indian person attempted to tell us they were with Puppies Unlimited and had several people in our area interested in our puppies and would like to set up a meeting.  My wife told them we only sell to RESPONSIBLE adults and hung up on them.

This is worrisome, wondering what foreigners would want with puppies.  Even worse, if it's a scam, what kind of scam are they running???

Got this phone call today from this number 124-235-6895.  Took a couple of minutes before a man with broken english would answer me. When he did he asked about some puppies I had placed an ad for in the newspaper. I told him I only sell to responsible people and I told him NOT to call back again!  After some investigation I discovered that this is a HUGE PHONE SCAM!  If you get a call like this HANG UP!

I have been getting these calls also. Called Verizon to find out if they knew, and they did not. No one ever leaves a message and I tried calling it back one, and nothing. No person or anything. Rang and than sounded like disconnected. I too advertised a dog in the local newspaper, however I was getting these strange calls PRIOR to placing the ad. Weird. Let me know if you are still getting them.

I just got a call from this number (12:24pm June 23, 2008). I picked it up despite it saying "Unknown Name" and there was no answer. I hung up after 10 seconds. SPOOKY.

I have a small business in Texas. I get calls from losers like this all the time trying to scam me. I've put my phone to block unknown numbers. It used to be I wouldn't have a phone number with these people. Lately they've been very rude - cursing and insulting. Yawn. It gets very old very quickly.

The same thing, I placed an add for puppies and got this same call a few times and no one is there and also got a call from a guy with an indian accent from a strange number that I could not understand but I dont know if it was the same number I just didnt take notice.

They've called twice today with the scratch-off card winning thing. The callers are obviously Indian.

Just Got a Call at me bussiness from 124-356-895 Looking for someone who doesn't work here then they told me my company had won a truck tv. then I hung up.

I just got a call from this number for the second time, the first was a week or so ago. I run a computer company, but they didn't reply when I answered. Not sure what they wanted, but I'm sure it was some sort of attempt at a multinational scam.

I've seen this number on the home phone caller ID a few times recently and they never leave a message.  I won't answer it.  I'm in TX.  We have call-screening and since their ID says "Unknown Name" it lets the call ring through as if that was a real name.
