Unbelievably, this scam is still doing the rounds, today in Ireland.

My receptionist received a call from this number this morning.

Sad to think that it must pay off; if they put in 500 phone calls and hook one person who will give their details.

1-125-382-0308  - Allen Justice was his name and when I told him I was on to his scam, he got nasty with me.  Still going on. This is my 3rd call in a week. I reported it to the local news sation and they did a report on it last week.... I cannot belive I got 3 phone calls!!!  

They all had an Indian accent and said they were from "Windows tech support"

I recorded 2 of the 3 conversations.

Called this morning telling me I had bought a computer and that they needed.....   I cut them off saying i didnt own a computer and they hung up.

I was called twice by these idiots. The first time I just laughed at him and kept telling him he wasn't going to get access to my computer. When he said that my computer was about to crash and never turn on again I told him that was ok....I didn't particularly care for that computer anyway. He eventually got mad at me for laughing and called me a name and said I was wasting his time. I said that was just less time he had to scam someone else and hung up. Today I got another call. I cut him off and said not to bother as I already know this was a scam. He said "who told you". I told him to get a real job and that he was a waste of space and good air. He started to say some vulgar things to me so I said "I have an idea....why don't you take your phone and shove it up your a**. Don't call me again"...then I hung up. Idiots.

This number called me 5 times today!  I tried to report it to the National Do Not Call Registry, but they wouldn't accept the area code "125" as it is not a valid area code.  The last call I received I answered and told them to put me on their do not call list.  Do scammers have "do not call lists"?  I hope this works.  I am sick of them!

And yes, they told me they were calling regarding my pc computer - which I do not own!

The same guy called me, and he spoke such poor english, he has to be living in Somalia. Ya gotta wonder about these fools who think we are so stupid that this guy who barely speaks english can suck us in.

I led the guy on, waited till he accessed one of my TEST computers, and when he started trying to get my passwords, I backrun into his system, and started writing crap all over his system till it crashed.

You don't mess with us here in North America pal. We don't get mad, we get even!

So it should take this guy about a week if he's lucky, to get back online. When he does, I'll nuke his a** again.

Received the same call a few minutes ago.  Being from the Tech world I started to ask  him questions which he could not answer.  Since he stated he was from Microsoft, I asked him for his phone number and employee name and employee number, he immediately hung up on me.  This is a scam for sure.

Could hardly understand him with his thick accent.  He said he was from "College Placement Services."  Yea, right and I'm from a place unknown to anyone.  I told him that I had recorded his name & phone number and that I was going to report it to the National Do Not Call registry.  I told him his call was in violation and would be reported to the FTC and may be subject to fines of up to $16,000.  He got very quiet and I hung up.

Scam, stating I had microsoft malware.  Told person they were a scam & hung up.

I been getting this call from a scam telling me they are from Microsoft techs and that i have malware on my computer and wanting me to log in my computer to help me out with this problem.

I got a call from this number and it was a woman in a thick accent who asked for Catareen and said she was calling from College Finder, and I told her that I had heard from them before (I kept getting calls from this College Finder scam from a Seattle area code number multiple times within the past month and a half) and that I'm not currently looking for colleges right now. As I was saying that they hung up on me.

Received a call from this invalid number. Said I had problems with me PC. Heavy accent India I think. Wanted me to give them mt IP address. I just hung up.

Received a call tonight from this number.  I didn't answer it; never do when I don't recognize the number.  Just don't know what use that DO NOT CALL REGISTRY is.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this number (caller ID is Sotak Monte) and recognize it as a robo-dial due to the long delay in answering.  I hang up on those calls.  This time I stayed on the phone because they keep calling back only to have an automated voice say "good bye" and disconnected.  As other people have spoken with these foriegn spoofs who claim to be from Microsoft or other company in order to get you to change your computer settings, they should be reported to the authorities and stopped.

Just had the same - female with Indian accent from a call center saying they were calling from Windows to help me with the trouble on my computer. She just needed me to help her help me fix my computer problems, Okay? I let her go to next question where she again asked permission to help with my problems they could "see" were on my computer. Then I said no and hung up....

125-382-0308...Came up on caller ID and also on my caller ID on my TV as Sotak Monte...These idiots are calling all the time now and all I do is jscrew with them and  waste their time...The last call yesterday, I played stupid, telling them I don't know much about computers and my personal computer is running slow. So when she wanted me to turn on my computer I played real stupid and said it is running so slow it will take a while to start up and I  told her I was having a hard time understanding her because of the background noise, really she had such a bad accent you couldn't understand her. She then said I needed to talk to her supervisor...she got him on the phone and I told him my computer is still starting up because it is so slow, actually I never turned it on, he then asked me questions what screen was up and wanted access to correct the problem with my operating system, but I kept telling him it is still starting up. While I was waiting for the computer to start up, yea right, I started up a conversation with him....then I became board and just asked him "How Do You Like Me Wasting Your Time" he said what? and I repeated it and told him All I'm doing is screwing with you and wasting your time because I know yu are a scam...He slammed down the phone and hung up...Fun screwing with these slimmy, bottom of the earth, low life scam artists....Well file another report with the FTC.

1-125-382-0308...Sotok Monte, Scam Artist?..I can't believe these morons are using their same names over and over again for this scam...I just received a call from the same person Sotak Monte, it is now Nov. 7, 2012.
I received a call from another idiot yesterday stating he was a Microsoft Tech and they have noticed I have a corrupted operating system and he wanted me to turn on the computer and let him access the computer and correct the problem. He spoke English with an bad Indian accent, At first I thought he was selling windows for my house, and I was going to mess with him on that. I questioned him about his authority with Microsoft and told him I would also contact Microsoft to confirm this call. He became very abrupt with me and then I hung up. I searched the internet for this scam and Microsoft had a warning notice about this on going scam. So I figured next call I receive a call from these #$@%^$#$% idiots if would screw with them and waste their time. So when this Sotok called, I noticed an unusual area code and number come up on my TV, I had a feeling it was these morons again. She introduced herself and stated she was a Microsoft Tech and I was having problems with my computer...I asked her which one, she paused and then hung up on me. I didn't even have time to have any fun and screw with her. I'll get them next time....So off to the FTC again with another complaint. When will these morons get a clue that we are a lot smarter than they are in India or where ever these %^$^&&^%$#$^ idiots are. But it is fun when I have nothing else better to do but screw with them.

I just got the call, didn't answer, then came to this site to see what scam it was this time.  I thought these guys were busted a short while ago but I guess the scam never dies, someone else just takes over......grrrr.

Received call from 1-125-382-0308.  This was odd in itself since my phone does not use the first " 1 ".  After I said hello 3 times, a recording said 'good bye' and disconnected.

I got a call yesterday from a man couldn't talk good English, said he was from micro-soft, I kept sayin what I can't understand you.Another call came in, I clicked over another man from micro soft he ask  if I had my computer on. I just hung up.

My caller id unit logged a few calls from this number when I was out, starting on September 10th. Usually one call every few days around 11:00-12:00 GMT.  More recently calls came when I was here however when I answer, I hear nothing and about 5 seconds later, the line is dropped. They are getting more frequent -there were two calls yesterday morning and one this morning so far.

I got the call too today at 10/1/2012. Seems to be Asian Indian. Talked very badly for Indian people. Certainly someone having the issues with the Indians. I heard two people in the room. They were pretending to be in call center.Of course, do not fall pray for them. Microsoft never call unsoliciated.

Called my house today. Asked for me by name this time!
I think they are getting on to me, as I pretend to go along with them and keep them on the phone for about 15 minutes and waste their time.
I like to think I'm taking up the time it would take to actually scam someone who doesn't know better.

Most are from Nigeria. Its not illegal there to scam other countries.

These people need to be stopped from calling households, glad they do in fact think we've all grown up to be idiots.  These were heavily accented people saying they were Microsoft Windows Technicians.

Picked up the phone and they then gave a series of numbers.  These people need to get a life.

I called AT & T. Let them know. this guy threaten me this time. Att phone company said call the police. I told phone company that the police wouldn't do anything because they couldn't get through. So ATand T goggled the phone number and was able to locate the location. This guy who wants to fix are computers is from a small town In Africa. The phone company has a way to locate addresses. So everyone know that you can't stop this low life from calling. He is from Africa. FYI this is a scam. So beware.

I get these all the time too but I won't answer them.  If you do answer them and they claim to be from microsoft just tell them you don't own a computer, not that it will stop them from calling but it can't hurt.

An English-speaking man with a thick foreign-accent called asking for "Mrs. Boo."  I said that there was no one here by that name.  To which he replied, I did call ###-###-####, did I not?  I said yes. Then he said that he needed to talk to the owner of the phone at this residence.  I said that I was that person.  He asked for my name, saying that he was from the government dept. of social services.  I could hear a lot of voices in the background, as if he was calling from some telemarketing phone bank, so I said that something seemed very unusual about his request and I could not give him the information.  I then hung up.  I received this call at 12:20 p.m. PDT.

Some man called who could barely speak English  wanting access to my computer so he could
get rid of a virus.   I am so tired of these idiots calling all day long.
