I too have received the same phone message for the past 3 days. I just called the number provided on Kohl's website (855) 564-5705 - and found out the message is legit and they are trying to inform me of a sale!!
I already receive an e-mail from them literally almost EVERYDAY - and now they are going to call me everyday???? I like Kohl's and shop there often but all the e-mails and now phone calls are very annoying! and OVERKILL in my opinion.

These guys are operating world wide. I am in Ireland and have received at least 16 calls from the start of the month always from a guy with an Indian accent. They claim to be from Microsoft or a related company and say that they have found a fault with your computer and offer to repair the damage if you give them access. They then install spy ware which reads all passwords and charge $40 for the repair.  I have heard of some people, mainly older not tech minded who have fallen for this scam. Unfortunately the communications people here cannot block them as they are international numbers. I usually string them along for a few minutes, after all it's their money, and then cut them off, sometimes I just give them a blast of an air horn which I keep beside the phone for just such an event.

a "126" area code may not be an area code at all. It may well be part of an 8-digit designation from a voice over IP phone. My daughter (a techie) just explained it to me. She has her Master's degree in Education, and is working as a manager for one of the largest banks in the world. Go figure.

I am receiving the "Kohls" calls only my caller ID shows UNKNOWN CALLER.  In this case I cannot block the call, any suggestions on how to stop them?

Yep, two messages from them on my machine.  I didn't think it sounded very legit.  I'm on the do not call list.  Ugh!

They have called every day for the past 4 days. So annoying! "Please call Kohl's Department store at 1-888-814-3555". That is the message that they leave on the answering machine. I know it has to be a scam or a collector because #1- The area code is invalid and #2- I have never shopped at Kohls! I have never been in the store!!!

This is Kohl's department store.  They do leave a message or I wouldn't know who it was.  The number is totally different from the toll free number they leave.

They call constitanly like between 10 and 25 time in about 2 hours at times

Ya that number keeping calling here too they already tricked my mom into spending like a grand on this computer stuff when there is not an issue with the computers, they are using multiple different numbers to call from too

I got calls from 126-507-6297 saying they are trying to fix my computer.
But, I have heard from numerous people that it is a scam and they get into all your online things. Such as banking info.
They say they are from India. But this isn't and can't be true if it is not an area code.

These guys call us 10 - 20 times a day.  Am writing my state AG about them.

It is a collection for Kohl's

I've been getting repeated telemarketing calls from this number today and yesterday on my land line, and not answering, of course.  I looked up my payment history, the last bill, etc., etc., and I looked up the number they said to call, and the number of origin, and it was indeed Kohl's department store's collections department.  So this morning I called Kohl's (using the number on my card, not the number they said to call -- I'm not THAT stupid) and was quite forceful about them stopping the calls.  They said they'd stop them, and a couple of hours later, the calls began again.  

I just canceled my credit card with them.  My account had a zero balance, was not compromised in any way, and they admitted it.  Yet they said the number belonged to some other account and they couldn't stop the calls.  Well, the only way to be heard, in addition to telling them how unprofessional that policy is and how they lied to me about stopping the calls, was to cancel my card.  I don't go there very often anyway, and if I do, I'll use another card or just cash.  I don't care if it affects my credit rating.  I'm done.

kohls? collection? no reason for them to be calling this household....

I made payment arrangements two weeks ago. They called me 15 times yesterday, a sunday, and 12 times the day before. I am late  on one payment, $78,  which I told them several times I would pay tomorrow, February 1st. I gave them permission to debit my account on that day. Still, they harass me and this is simply not right. I have never been hounded like this in my life. I spent thousands of dollars with them in the last two years alone and I will not shop there ever again.

No, it is not Kohl's.  I have no Kohl's credit card and no other account of any sort with them and this number was on my phone also.

Have had 2 calls from this number today...the last one coming in @ 8:43 p.m. This last one left a message to call Kohl's Dept. store @ some 888 #.  The first call did not leave a message.  I intend to call Kohl's tomorrow and see what they have to say about this.  Wonder why they use this 126 area code, or whatever it is?  Annoying to say the least.

I just called Kohl's.  it is NOT Kohl's.  They researched it and they are indeed not calling me.  I do not have an account with Kohl's.  It is indeed a scam.  put a block on the number and don't answer it.

it is not a scam, it is a collection agency.  The reason it comes on Caller ID as a 126 area code is because it isn't displaying correctly.  It is showing the "1" when it doesn't need to.  The actual number is 262-703-1977.  And yes, it is Kohl's collection department.
