Got charged $6.60 per SMS for 5 times already in the last 2 weeks ( appeared as 'premium SMS received' in the account statement) and when I called the phone company, they told me these were charges for receiving the SMS from 1300332245.

I requested the phone company to block this number from sending the SMS to me, they told me this took 2 days to take effect. I am keeping my finger crossed that this problem will go away in 2 days time.

As in all the above messages, I was overcharged for three months' phone bill! If I hadn't rung Optus, I would not have known that this server is the culprit to all the extra charges. I wasn't even aware of what it's done or was doing with my phone to incur the extra costs, unlike the others who were receiving texts. Though when I rang Optus, I was told that it's sending prestige images, ring tone, etc to my phone, which I had no knowledge of whatsoever! It is probably doing the same to other phone users! How can I track this server before it's doing the same damage to the others?!! Please advise.

Yep, it works - call the number and use the automated prompts to unsubscribe. I had a few extra things I needed to talk about and used the prompts to talk to an operator instead. Didn't have to wait long and they dealt with my problem quickly. I asked them why they'd be calling people - Optus or Telstra or whoever sometimes tell them to refund certain people. If they're calling you, it's probably to offer you a refund.

I followed Tara's advice and it seemed to work...give it a try. i reckon i lost bout 80 bucks so i was keen to give anything a try and following the call and following the prompts i recieved a message saying i had been unsubscribed from mobilefun. Thanks Tara

If you ring this number, you must follow the prompts to cancel your subscription.  Your phone records will show a call from 1998 1101 but this will not allow you to issue a STOP command.  They will have obtained your number from a competition for something completely different - perhaps a holiday in the Gold Coast.  The second prize was a subscription to Mobile Fun, free for a period, then you start paying $6.60 per message after the free period.

i spent ages googling this stupid number, so Im putting this up so there is an actual answer on here of what to do.

Dont try text anything to it, it wont let you. Heres what you do

RING IT!!! Dial 1300332245, it tells you to enter your mobile number, then will tell you how many things you have subscribed to, to opt out all you have to do is press 1! and Ta-daahhhh they say 'you have now opted out'.

Only just found this, so cant verify that it has worked. But they said it had, so lets see.

I'm getting texts from 1300332245 and they are costing me $6.60 per text. Anybody find out information on company, please list. If anything operates out of Melbourne for this business then it will be get even time. Didn't ask for txt, nor want them. They lead to a non-existent website.

If you have a refund request, pls explain briefly why you think you are eligible to a refund and advise of the amount.

Please be assured we take every complaint seriously and our staff is well trained.
