This number is for debt collectors Don & Bradstreet.  Turns out I owed $28.24.  Pretty quick call, just said if you're not prepared to pay call back when you are.

turned out for me that jas was correct. all up for not replying or answering blocked calls, haaaate them, at least this one left a message (how annoying when they keep calling and no message) but this one turned out ok, so thanks jas for that.

was Dunn & Bradstree and a debt that i believed had been paid over a year ago. never even thought of it again as it was a one off. glad i looked into it as it would of messed up my credit rating, was so small didnt even notice it was bounced back. yep, my bad for not checking and forgetting but hey, sometimes stuff happens and life is to busy and things just get away and you forget stuff...

Yes I can confirm this is the number of Dunn & Bradstreet, one of  Australia's largest debt collection agencies.
Quite often the caller I.D Will come up as 'unknown' or 'private number'. They believe if they say who they are and where they are from, that you will not answer or return the phone call.
Sorry. I DO NOT answer private numbers or withheld numbers and I certainly do not call unknown phone numbers and then supply them with my personal details. Get Stuffed! I am not that stupid! Be upfront with me and I MAY consider speaking to you! These companies work under the belief of psychologists that human nature will prevail and interest in who called you, will get the better of you, and you will return the call. These companies employ psychologists to help them devise their messages and structure their calls.

Most of you are idiots, Dun ad bradstreet is a debt collection agency, they have many different departments with many different numbers.
This number in particular is the consumers department.
If you owe money to RMIT, BOC gas, Air liquide, A gym membership, Netregistry, Global shop direct, Double Day Australia, melbourne library, bradford exchange, cellarmaster wines, roam tolling, citylink, eastlink or queensland moterways then this number is relevent to you. Even if you feel you don't owe money but you have had relations with any of these companys call them anyway as they will only call you if one of these companys has claimed you owe money, if you don't sort the matter out you will get credit listed and possibly have legal action taken on you. Also this number is often handed out incorrectly by other departments so if you have never had relations with any of these companys call it anyway because you may owe money to a client in another department. Dun and bradstreet has 100's of clients and they will only ever call you if a client is claiming you owe money. If you don't owe money that is all the more reason to call so you can get the matter sorted before you are wrongly credit listed.
Upon calling you will be asked to verify your DOB and your address, this is not to attain your information but to verify it, Dun and Bradstreet legally cannot discuss a debt, mention the clients name or even tell you they are a debt collection agency until you have verified your details, (research privacy act of 68) if you are uncomfortable get them to prompt the suburb name so you can see they already have the information.
Pay your debts people cause if you don't care now you will care over the next 7 years when you can't take out any loan, get a phone contract or even rent a place to live.. and completely forget about a bank loan these days if you have had a credit listing!

Its is a debt collection agency ,confirm your details and they will tell who you owe money to ,they don't buy the debt like other agencies , they are hired to retrieve it for any  company who hire's them.

I got voicemail from Vanessa saying it was a "personal busniess manner that had to be resolved immediately"!! I called it back and all it did was lead to a voicemail msg asking me to leave my details and the stupid ref number.

Its clearly a scam so all you others that get a call from this number... dont answer and dont call back!!

it is not a scam, u owe money. probbly from year s ago. but NOW they have caught up with You. call them just listen to what  they have to say. and If then You still think its a scam them Go to them copz

I just called she would not even tell me that they were a debt collection agency! she refused to go any further unless i confirmed my details!!!! scammer!!!!

I also got call 3 times from the same number, with some stupid ref number without explaining me any reason,  I will inform VIC Police if it continue like this.

Received a very garbled voicemail. Have managed to work out it is someone wanting me to call 1300 365 553 and quote a reference number. Having read this page, don't think I will bother. Only had my phone number a couple of months and I don't owe money to anyone.

This person Anna claims to have accessed my bank account and taken over $300 leaving a balance of $120 only in the account. This is not true and how can someone access details of my bank accounts even if they are a debt collectio agency?

I received the same SMS but it was preceded by 3 calls from an unknown QLD number which I also did not answer.

I also received an SMS from 0416 907 210 asking me to call Jodie now on 1300 365 553 quoting ###### regarding an urgent matter before 9pm EST. Reply N to opt out.

Cant be that urgent if they don't even bother to call...

I received an sms from 0416907210 telling me to ring this number in regards to an "urgent matter".. the amusing part is the end where it said "Reply N to opt out"
I think i will ignore to opt out.. i dont take calls from unknown numbers, and i dont make calls to unknown numbers.

i recieved a urgent telegram from victoria tellin me to cal this number 1 300 365 553     it was very anonymous and was signed only be karen..  lol
