The problem is easy to solve whenever you get a call from someone ask them where they are calling from, if they say they are calling from "credit corp" or any other company for that matter that you don't have legitimate business with, you say this "PLEASE HOLD THE LINE FOR A MOMENT PLEASE" then you simply put the phone down on a table and walk away come back an hour or so later and hang it up, if they call back repeat the process, do not let them get a word in as soon as you reliese its a call you dont want to take simply say "hold the line please" leave the phone on a table and walk away. you will need to be relentless and probably do it a few times over a few weeks but i guarentee they will stop calling.

and if all else fails, buy yourself a good whistle or better still a air horn , these people won't be able to harass you over the phone if they cant hear anymore,  your not breaking any laws by blowing a whistle or an air horn down the phone to stop an unsantioned herrassing phone call.

A woman with a Canadian(possibly) accent called me in Melbourne at 9pm for my sister, asking me if i was related to her and if i would pass on the message to call her back on the above number, as it was an urgent business matter, the ladies name was Rohany. Very sus, i say dept collectors, but could be worse, i'm changing my number.

im not working on both company..im a self employed man..i just dont like people who has a debt and not paying them back..i know you knpw what i mean fedup..

nobody will call you from this number if you deal with this matter from GE before..stupid..

These people have been calling my neighbours, so i rang back and asked for this "anna"  The guy seemed to answer with another company name in an indian accent (and the location is overseas.  He started pressing me for details and said he was calling on behalf of Credit Corp.
If they were in any way legitimate, why did they call my neighbour?  I am in the phonebook at this address and my current address is registered with the credit reference people.
Please, anyone who receives a call from these people, contact the Telecommunications Ombudsman and lodge a complaint - it's obvious Telstra don't give a damn as long as they are being paid.

Simlar story. "Diane" seeming has partial information on my mother in law and could be fishing for more information about her. I was asked for my "Full name" when I called back to see what organisation it was. Very dificult to understand them. Alledgedly "Financial services". Hung up.

I received message at 10am from 1300 762 934 asking for me to ring back. I didn't ring back after googling the number.

I just got a call from 1300 762 934 with a thai women or philipino accented woman asking to speak to my neighbour regarding an urgent matter. I just took the message down and then threw it away. This site has helped me alot from scam artists and telstra businessman calling my phone! thanks everyone

know your rights people - if they call a neighbour, they have broken the law - if they call you persistently, and to a point where it makes you stressed about them calling, they are breaking the law - if they state that they are a debt collection agency they may be breaking the law (depends how it's worded) - if they call at hours after a certain time at night or before a certain time in the morniong (can't remember the times right now, but you can look them up on the ACCC website), then they are breaking the law...

if everyone who receives a dubious call from this mob reports it to the ACCC or Fair Trading then they will be litigated, and maybe put out of business.

I have started recording the times and dates they call, and will be sending a full report to the ACCC about them.

i agree with you jay.. the people who call them from this number might not be known to them its because they have ignored the original company where they have borrowed money from. you talk to them and they will help you to stop calls just cooprate mate! they helped me ....

it's a simple logic. you borrowed money and you dint pay. you shouldn't be getting calls from these people should you have paid your debts in the past..

These bastards try to harass my mother in law ,threatening her if she didn't give my husbands details to them, they would keep calling, and he called back to rip them up, he then requested them to tell him his DOB as he was suss and they tried to guess his DOB, (they had no idea) under no circumstances give them this, as it's a huge form of identity theft. Make sure they tell you your DOB, not the other way round, i bet my last dollar they can't tell you! bunch of scum bags from india.

Just received a message to urgently call Jessica on this number. After reading about the dodginess of this company I dont think I will bother returning the call.

A person rang for our neighbour. Said she got our phone number off the database. Neighbour reckons it is an old girlfriend that is trying to reach him.

Got a call this arvo from a woman identifying herself as 'Alisa' from Credit Corp. She advised me that I have an outstanding debt of over $3000 with AGC Creditline. My credit history is a little disheveled but I was pretty certain this was not correct. I have had dealings with AGC but that was almost 10 years ago .This woman was able to give me a lot of information to back herself up and was EXTREMELY persistent in pursuing half of that debt TODAY offering me 30% discount should I accept her gracious offer. I even explained that due to medical reasons we are currently in dire straits living in recently 'assessed' hardship circumstances but she pressed on without a care wanting DOB and bank details regardless. THIS IS A SCAM - and a heartless nasty one at that. I hope these people get caught. I've been involved in prisoner reintegration for the last 5 years and I can tell you that NOBODY LIKES FRAUDSTERS IN JAIL!!

Called my neighbour @ 3 pm in sydney asking to call Ruth back. Number led to an answering maching with an american womans voice recorded saying please call back within business hours (i had called the number at 10pm). I then came to this site via google and wont be calliong that number again! Will be keeping an eye on my phone bill for unexpected charges. Why are these people in this world? pfffft time wasters

This number has been calling me and harrassing me at my work place.  They say i owe them money but will not tell me what it is for unless i give them my date of birth. Ive told them to F--- O--. That to me is very suss

I've just had them (Credit Corp) call me telling me I owe them $931.73?? They said it was from an original purchase of $609 from a Buyers Edge card?? I haven't used Buyers Edge for years and am positive that I don't owe them jack s**t. Buyers edge is assosiated with GE money in which I still have an account with. I don't owe GE any money at all and they still send me statements so WTF is going on?? they wanted me to pay by tomorrow! They knew my date of birth, previous address ect ect but sounded very sus. They could not tell me what the purchase was for or what date the purchase was made.

An american / candadian lady called Jenny on behalf of creditcorp rang me at home last night saying I was the person that possibly had a debt to ge finance, asked me to confirm my dob etc I refused to provide that information.   I haven't had any finance with GE Money directly nor have I had any sort of store card for more than 10 years.  I asked her to provide me with details or information regarding the debt at which time I would consider providing her with the information.  She couldn't do this.   I have now had a a call at my workplace with a message to call back ASAP, I'm ignoring the call.

A philipino? lady keeps calling us every week or so asking for my brother in law. They ask us to tell him to call them on 1300762934 regarding an urgent business matter. She will not say why she is calling or what company she represents. They are now saying they have recieved a payment but need to update his details. They do not believe that we do not know where he is. They have not asked us for our personal information, but have asked for his information...(which we are unable to give them). ? Debt collectors or a scam.

The number is being managed by Iqor.com on behalf of Credit corp. This line terminates in the Philippines

just received a call from a lady called Cris (could be Canadian or Asian)  asking me to pass on a message to my neighbour and get him to call them on this number - Sounded odd. Checked number on internet and found this forum. Definitely not passing message along!

A man named Ryan with a strange accent just called. He said he was from Credit Corp and wanted to speak to my boss. He asked if he was 56. I just asked for his number and wouldn't reveal anything. He gave me the number 1300 762 934.

Meh-ignore it..they call me all the time, i never givve them info, they never give me info. It is credit corp, theyr major pains. theyve been hounding me for years, they dont do anything.

I received a call from a guy called Marvic today. He asked me to pass this number 1300 762 934 on to my neighbour. I said how did you get my number? He said off the internet. Wt? I gave the number to my neighbour and then looked it up and had to stop them from calling.....

My neighbour recieved a call from credit corp (Marvic) asking them to forward a message to me. I have been paying them for years maybe I don't owe them anything afterall. I am going to stop paying.
