Got call at 11 a.m.; didn't answer since the number was listed as 014-049-32124.  It is a scam, I am sure.

Got 2 calls to my business line. Hung up when I did not answer. Found that it is an India originating number and is likely a SCAM.

Got call from this 140 number before 8am. Where the heck is 140 area code?

Yep, same thing here. Called to fix my computer, Which is funny because it's running linux and is home built. I just started laughing at them. I should have played along, would have been fun. It's a scam, no computer company will ever call you trying to gain access to your computer. Especially a cold call.

This number called me today and told me that they needed to do some computer repair.  It was an Indian woman. I said I was not interested and hung up.  Hopefully they did not have time to attach to my phone!

I've been getting very similar calls. They tell you that your computer needs fixing. It's a total SCAM. Whenever they call me which is generally a few times a week..... I simply say ...."What's a COMPUTER "   ??? And then hang up !

I got a call from this number as well.  Got the same Indian accented gentleman.  They also call from phantom #'s that can attach themselvres to numbers in your phone.  They tell you, your computer has error messages and it's contacting them.  When I questioned them, they make up dozens of BS stories that sound possibly/ maybe legit.  
I called an IT friend of mine from Microsoft and he explained they have you go on your computer, give them specific info, have you log on to your computer with this info they give you.  Then tell you they fixed it and you hang up.  Unfortunately, you have given them access to you computer and they can monitor/steal any info off it they want to...plus they can attach to anyone you communicate with.  JUST HANG UP ON THEM!!!

i got a call from 140-493-2124 and they were asking for some 1 else told her she had then wrong #  then she verified that my number was the 1 she called and asked me if i was the owner of this # i said yes then she said we are tec. support and my computer needed to be fixed i lied said i dont have a computer and told them to loose my # and i hung up

I received a call from the same number (0 140 493 2124), but because it was an odd format I didn't answer and there was no message.

However, after a little Googling, this is what I found out:

According to wiki, in India the proceeding zero is similar to dialing "1" in the USA prior to the area code, 140 is the area code assigned to all telemarketers in India.

This is a scam. It's been on the news a few times. I get one of these calls from different numbers at least once a day or more. These idiots need to find a legitimate job.

Been getting calls from this number soliciting to fix my computer, sounds fishy as hell. Man with Indian accent was a douche and hung up on me when I questioned him.

I got the same phone call for the same thing. Is there a way to report this.

I got a call from this number but on my phone it was 10-140-493-2124. Didn't answer it and they did not leave a message.

Got a called from this phone#+0140-493-2124,this person was telling
Me to typed in to my computer (csi)in the run box so he can checked my computer out for virus

Got a call from this number saying that they were receiving error messages from my computer and that there were 7 or 8 people trying to gain access.  Asked me to google "eventvwr" on my computer.  Saw that this was a scam from the google info. Then I blocked this number.

Got a call from a number similar to this one. I answered, but the phone went "click". Did not call back, and have since DELETED that number.

Got a call from this number saying that they were receiving error messages from my computer and that there were 3 users using it.  Asked me to get on my computer to do something.  Asked them for a number to call them they gave me 888 960 1421.  Sounded really fishy so I didn't do anything on my computer

Got this call at 9:43 AM.  No message left.
