Received a call from 140-785-4718 claiming to be a Red Cross clothing drive and wanted to pick up cloths and small appliances. Tried calling number back and got a "can't be completed as dialed" msg. Rep said her name was Judy Berry.

Get a call a few times a week.

Caller from 140 by the name of Roberta Hughes on behalf of The American Red Cross was asking for clothes and household items for donation.  Roberta, who sounded like a man, asked if we could leave the bags and items in the driveway for pick up on January 30 from 7 AM to 5 PM.  I asked what the truck looked like and was told white.  The person wanted me to verify my address but I did not.  I am going to the Senior watchdog office at the Sheriff's office in my area to report this call.  In the background I could hear other people talking on their phones.  I declined their pick-up and asked for their telephone number and was given an 877 toll free number instead of what appeared on my caller id.

Enough already with these dumb calls.

We get a lot of calls from 140 numbers.  I haven't kept track until now, so I don't know if it is the same one all of the time.  We do not pick up and they don't leave a message.
