received a text from this number saying that my bank account had been locked and I needed to go to a web site that they put on the text to clear it up

Its more then likely people texting from yahoo. I use to do it when I was younger so my parents didn't know who I was talking to

I not only got 2 messages on my phone but got the same message on my computer...saying its coming from a friend of mind...when I started to pull up the message on my computer my security came up blocking it..my phone is an older model and I cant pull it up on there...figured my friend has been hacked and I warned them about it

I got a text from this number and the text looked like this:

Curious, I call the number and it went to a Wells Fargo automated system wanting to activate my card. What card? So, I wanted to talk to a representative and thought that if I entered a bogus account number it would kick me over to a live person. Nope. After I entered random numbers for the account, the system went ahead and asked for the expiration date on the card, again, I entered random numbers. Then I was asked for the verification number on the back of the card. I think I entered the number 3. I was then asked for more information....my social security number. I hung up then. What a scam. I wonder how many people with real Wells Fargo accounts have fallen for this and have given out their personal information.

I got four of these today from 1410000001, 02,03 and 04! Thank you for the program Call Control on my android!!! It allows me to block them and tags them as a fake or invalid number.

I recently got a text from this person. They said something about my debit card be flagged, and they wanted me to call a number.

H,  this is a discussion board and can't do anything to block or stop anyone's unwanted callers.

I received a call at 330 in the morning that woke me up, not a happy camper. THis number was just sending me a website, please make them stop. I see other complaints. This was to my cell phone.

They text my husbands phone as well, he of course no nothing about it

The really interesting thing about this text message is that it referred to an actual appointment I have with a doctor complete with time, day, and facility. My wife received the same message on her cell phone referring to my appointment about 3 minutes after I did. The message wanted me to reply "Yes" to the number. I wonder how many people are falling for this crap? Replying yes would probably have drained our savings accounts.

Someone tried to open a charge account with Best Buy using my wife's s.s. number. Fortunately, we are on a fraud watch because of several instances similar to this so we were contacted almost immediately. She had recently been to a doctor and showed the required cards and I.D. for insurance purposes. After speaking with the local fraud unit, it's surprising how many people working in doctor's offices are stealing identities.

You'd best be REALLY careful out there, it seems the scum of the Earth is making a full on assault on law abiding citizens to take everything we have.

Two text messages during the night.  One to my phone and one to the wife's phone.  Mine said that mail had not been delivered and was phishing for information.  The other to my wife and said our credit union balance was low and was phishing for account information.  These are green toothed slicks.  Report it to "Do Not Call" list.

The  message said Hello.  Then I typed back do I know you? It is from a robj192@yahoo.com Subj: auto response MSG:  You are a winner of 50,000 cash Facebook AnivPromo claim on website .powerballfacebook.tl ????   I know that I get on facebook but didnt sign up for anything! Annoying.

If they send it to your phone then you should have their email. Just find as many ads as possible and add them to the email list. I like to use porn cause those guys are relentless and some come with viruses.

it's the middle of the night and this number is texting me about some bs locating cell phones.  I will report to the FTC and AT&T.

Gotten two texts from them, both about tracing someone's location through their phone and site, email is "ughxvw@hotmail.com". Might be some way of advertising directly to phone? Or way to then send messages to the input number if the person goes to the site?

   Apps like this are complete BS. Shouldn't be allowed.
