I have been receiving these calls for a few months. Same thing, claims to be Microsoft and gives some American-sounding first name in a thick Indian or Pakistani accent. I always tell them I am not fooled, but I worry about elderly people who might not realize they are being scammed.

Guy called claiming to be from Microsoft and that my 'computer' was infected and issuing warning messages to them ... Claimed to be calling from San Francisco .... But when I challenged him to tell me my operating system of the system that the messages were coming from he said 'windows 7' when my actual house computer runs WinXP!!!   SCAM!!!!!!!  I then hung up :)

I keep getting either a call that I have won an ipad, my computer is running slow and they can fix it, or hang-up calls. I keep asking these people to put me on their "Do Not Call" list, but I am still getting calls (usually 2-3 times per day).

I also got the Microsoft Windows scam from this number, calling me on our unlisted landline. I cursed him out and hung up.

please take me off your calling list., will not answer so I can tell them this..this is a shift work house and these calls interupt who ever might be sleeping at the time..

In North America there are NO area codes from 000 to 199. Scammers like to use them (spoof) because some service providers can't block them because it is an invalid number. Also in North America, after the area code, NO exchange starts with a 0, or a 1.

Called this morning.  I never heard of an area code under 200 so I answered to see what kind of scam it was.  No one there.  Hope they call back so I can waste their time.

1-575-658-023 called me telling me they are calling from Microsoft office my windows computer is sending warning signals to their computer

Image this I do not use windows pc I  use mac like omg can you just see the scam they're trying to pull off this is the 3 or 4 time they call. some one who can not speak english trying to get information I am in canada Ontario.

I received a call from this number. I answered it, I said hello 3 times, then I just hung up.

I picked up the phone, but noone answered. I said hello three times, still no answer. So i hung up. I hate when people just sit there listening to my voice. Creepy. Not sure where the call was coming from. I'm in Canada.

Nathan Parker says he is with Microsoft Windows and that he wants to help me fix my computer.  Has indian accent.  Told me to log onto computer and he will guide me thru the steps.  I hung up.
