i also got a missed call from this same number, my phone caller id shows that its a call from escondido, united states... shows in top spammer list

1760705888 calls and hangs up when I pick up and call back right after rings 2 times and my caller ID says no data I try calling it back and recording says "y max corporation test is successful" what in the world is going on?

even i get so many calls .......really annoyed at midnites.........

this number has been harassing me and calling asking for my son to play a game online. Using explicit language as well. This is really scary and creepy. He sounds like an old man and a hacker.

this  is crazy that all these people are getting weird calls from that number ..is it one person using the google voice number or many that is what stinks you really cant pin point this jerk..My experience was he made an appointment to buy something and kept stalling and never showed when I called back it says unable to connect to this number...anyways I hope Google can handle this sometime soon seems to be affecting a lot of people

11:00pm, I got 2 calls from this phone# for my 10 years old son, he answered. 5 minutes later, another call received, caller ID is my house phone#, and force me to give him my credit card#, and he said my 10 years old son ordered a pizza. how can we order pizza at 11:00pm, this is criminal call, should be stopped.

This might not be a scammer.  This could be anyone who you know who signed up for a gmail account, and now they're trying to get a hold of you and can't because you're paranoid.

But, yeah, it could also be a scammer.

Anyone, friend or foe, who calls with gmail will have this number show up as their called id.  Just answer it.

Its just akward cause he wont stay on the line long enough for me to curse him out

Got a call this morning from the same number, 1 760 705 8888, to my cell phone in Ontario. Seems to be some scammer. I did not pick up the phone. which went silent after 2 rings, so maybe the caller thinks I would call back.

This is a google free phone service.
I had a call from this number - actually, 7 calls within an hour.  I did not recognize the number and no message was left.  I finally answered, ready for war....   my son was calling me.  He lives out of the country and was using this free service.

It's Google Voice (VOIP).  They have a bug; the call display information they pass through is passed inconsistently.  This evening I tested it.  Of 19 calls placed, this is what was displayed on my phone.

CORRECT:  10 times
 NAME = "California", NMBR = "1-760-705-8888"

INCORRECT #1:  4 times
 NAME = "INTERNAT'L CALL", NMBR = "1-176-070-5888"

INCORRECT #2:  5 times
 NAME = "17607058888", NMBR = "1-760-705-8888"

Note:  People who actually live in California may see something more specific than NAME = "California".

Caller calls and wants to know where to buy a computer power supply?  Really?  How about Best Buy

i got call from this number and they told me that they are sending me an i pad i am not sure and they gave me a confirmation code as well and saying that they call me on behalf of rogers telecommunication

I received a call from that number. I heard the message. I think it is a service phone number that connects with a remote telephone. From California's company to Ottawa Canada was a case.

It's a GMAIL caller ID. go on google and sign on to GMAIL and you can make free annoying calls too.

THIS IS A GMAIL CALLER ID. whoEVER is calling is not calling from a cell phone.

1471 gave the information that we had been called by 01760 705 8888.  As others have reported this was at an antisocial early hour of the morning. The caller seemed to have a double-barrelled name, He named a person who lives at the address and claimed that he wanted to "invite him to a party". I have no idea how this person would have this information. There have been several other later night / early morning calls, not sure if it was the same number. We contacted the police. They told us that 01760 was a Swaffam (Norfolk) number - but it has too many digits - and bearing in mind the time of the call/s this could be international from somewhere east of the UK (later time)

i got a call from this person 3 times in a row. they were asking me about a car that i apparently sold ( i am 100% completely honest, have no friggin idea what they are talking about. i dont even know how to drive O.O)

Getting calls from 176-070-5888 followed by call from unknown caller? This is 6 times in the past 2 days
