Attention all you geniuses reading this page. This outfit is a COLLECTION AGENCY!! Remember all those old bills you threw away and said; F--- them; I'm not going to pay this old bill. They will probably not even bother to try to find me. They really don't care about this old, small cellphone bill! Oh yes they do, and the phone companies behind those millions of old bills are entitled to their money for providing you the phone service in the first place. Everyone, do yourselves a favor; fess up and pay your bills off in full. Otherwise, these wolves will continue to louse up your credit ratings and it will cost more in interest at the bank when you need that emergency cash  one day, possibly to save your home from a foreclosure. Banks look at how you handle your small bills too.  Play ball with everyone fair and square and you won't face a financial life of being on the outside looking in.  Next time you drop by your local Bank, ask the friendly person at their desk how would you be evaluated if you wanted to borrow, say $50,000.00 to purchase that beautiful vacation home you fell in love with? You'll be glad you paid off all your creditors in full before they pull your credit reports to process your credit application. ( This advise is coming from a former Bank auditor who has seen it all.)

NRG have been calling me for nearly a year - regular as clockwork. At $15.00 per hour they pay people, they must be over $100 down the drain by now. Idiots.

just received an urgent call from them at 7;30 am..  very unimpressed.  they said its urgent regarding my Mother and wouldn't tell me anymore.  They wouldn't even say the industry they are in.  I was able to get the return phone number so called back to get organisation name.  At first I was trying to find out whether there had been an emergency at my Grandmother's aged care home.  I am furious and SICK of cold calls being out of control.  Telstra have alot to answer for as they contributed to creating this over time and it creates stress in our lives.

I got a call from them, I was hesitant at first. They kept on calling me about an "URGENT MATTER". Ignored them for a long time. searched for the company on the internet and just found out that the are debt collectors. :( so  called them, knowing that I owe completely nothing. gave a different birthday, and guess what? they know that i'm lying. clever. so i gave my real birthday. turns out that i owe something to vodafone and that my credit rating is at risk. I completely forgot that I still owe them. they were asking for the full payment, but I don't have any money. they even asked me to borrow! rude people. to cut the long story short, after asking for my financial situation, we ended up with an agreement of a fortnightly payment. they asked for my bank details so they can set it up for direct debit, didn't want to argue anymore. I was ready to take action if they take out more that what we agreed on, but no. they didn't. they took what they should. then after a couple of months, they called. gave me a discount, and since it was a pretty good deal, i went for it. paid via bpay. then that's is. never got a call from them. the big question is, why did is take that long? maybe because vodafone gave them the number which was disconnected.

this company keeps on calling me as well, they introduced themselves and get my details without saying why they're calling! but when they said that they were calling  on behalf of vodafone i gave it out.. then i found out that I owe vodafone something!!! forgot all about it and this hit on my credit file without me knowing.. but made sense when they explained to me that i signed up a contract with vodafone that if i fail to make a payment then this will happen..(NEXT TIME I WILL REALLY READ EVERYTHING BEFORE IS SIGN SOMETHING) so paid them with my debit card and got everything updated! so when they call it means that you owe someone something....and wouldn't you consider it as urgent if your credit file is on line???  it's a lot nicer if you're debt and worry free and nobody keeps on calling you every time! :)

They gave me a ref. no, which I passed on to her. They would only tell me that it was a private business matter.

I suggest you people just pay your bills on time so this can be avoided right?  NRG from what I heard is a third party collections agency which vhoda and virgin pays to get what consumers owe. I got a call from them once because I forgot to cancel my services with virgin due to a faulty phone. Let us all remember that we all sign a contract or that we acted a garantor once... this is our responsibility... I understand they are just doing their jobs... so anyway I immediately paid using my master card got a letter and that was it... not even unusual usage on my credit card.... from now on im just going apply all my payables on direct debit... so i wont have to encounter this again... debt free... and not defaul listed :)

First I started getting missed calls from an overseas phone number, +30 1 is all that showed up. I answered the first one but no one spoke and they hung up, the rest I missed. The next day the texts started, please call NRG blah blah blah, but when I rang I got a recorded message so I hung up and googled them.
I too had a vodaphone account and unlike most others I still owe them over a hundred dollars but I have made it clear that I will pay them in the same way they gave me service... at my convenience and in dribs and drabs. I have heard from them 3 times, or at least I assumed it was them, american accent and all but now I'm wondering! the weird thing is that I have recently opened accounts with virgin for myself my daughter and my mother... could this be related? Is there a list that becomes available to one of virgins subsidiary companies... Richard's all about the diversification and he's opened up his very own virgin money company... insurance, super, credit cards.. you get the drift. As for me and NRG? I'm going to do the same thing I do when that company who pretends to be Microsoft affiliated rings me... Tell them they are being recorded and that I will be forwarding a copy of their conversation to the appropriate authorities. If that doesn't work I'll use the old tried and true... Hang up and ignore them!
PS I sent back STOP to the texted number just on the off chance that I'm being charged for their texts because it wouldn't be the first time a company has made money texting me and charging me for it.

NRG Global Solutions also rang our place looking for my daughter who has not lived with us for 5 years. I gave them a return call and asked what it was about. They wouldn't tell but asked for my daughter's contact details. I refused and told the caller I am not at liberty to give away her number to every Tom, Dick and Harry who comes along and ask for her contact details. I passed the message on to my daughter though. She said,  'that's weird'

NRG Global Solutions have been harassing me with voicemail, text messages, email and letters for 6 months, apparently on behalf of Virgin Mobile. Virgin have confirmed that I don't and never have owed them any money. I have repeatedly told these people to stop contacting me, but they won't. I have now reported them to the credit ombudsman and Scamwatch.

I have been getting harassed from these guys since about June and the refuse to let up. I closed my account with Virgin back in February and then out of the blue they have sent me letters, emails and now daily calls sometime 5 times a day, I refuse to answer them so they rang my work phone to which I exploded and told her in no uncertain terms they are not getting one cent from me and if they rang my work number again I will take them to the onbudsman. I ranted and raved and hung up, a few hours later they called back!!!... I have had 2 calls this morning already so I will be going to the onbudsman now.

I had a Vodafone account until February this year as I was fed up with the call quality and service in general. So I moved to another provider and that too on a Prepaid account. Before my closure of contract with Vodafail, I had a long discussion with one of their representatives who negotitated my exit and the price etc. All was well until about a month ago when I received an email stating - private and confidential. call us on 1800203561. Which I did and a lady on the phone said, you have an unpaid amount to the tune of over a thousand dollars to Vodafone and we shall collect it. Without even giving me any details, she asked me if I could give her my bank account to make the transaction easier.
What sounded really dubious to me was (and I have worked for Collections myself in the past) that she did not have any details whatsoever of what the charges were for and why Vodafone failed to contact me even before I could get onto her list. Vodafone anyways has had my bank account details, they would have contacted me on email for sure as I would have imagined. But nothing of that sort happened. I got no communication from Vodafone which should have been the case before getting a random email from some NRG peeps.
What shall I do? Shall I contact any kind of Ombudsman for it ..A  friend of mine suggested I get my credit history checked from MyCreditFile.com.au. What is the best way to investigate a bit more about these charges.?

I changed carriers from Vodafone and there was an outstanding amount. I paid the amount with Vodafone (which included some fees that I didn't have to due to their poor service and coverage) just so I could get them off my back.  This is when the calls from NRG started (around ~ April).  Continually following up on the amount and when I told that I was dealing with Vodafone directly (because why on earth would I give my personal details to someone that wouldn't identify themselves or what they do) they got really annoyed.  The phone calls increased.  I went to the Telco Ombudsman and reported Vodafone for the execessive charges and got them back VERY quickly from Vodafone.

Then all went quiet with NRG.

Until just this month.  The calls started up and happened everyday.  I gave them a fake address and date of birth to see if it was a scam or if they actually had my contact details.  They didn't bite on the fake details.  I then rang THEM back and asked who they are, what they do, why would I give them my details etc.  I said because I don't deal with Vodafone anymore (and haven't for several months) they had no reason to call me about an 'URGENT matter regarding Vodafone'.  I then demanded that they put me on their do not call list, to which they responded 'we don't know your name'.  I berrated them about this as they don't need to know it, just the number they're not to call.  I said that if I received one more unsolicited call, that I would report them to the telco ombudsman.  However, knowing what they do, reporting them to the Credit Ombudsman might just be on the cards too.

I got a call from "NRG Global Solutions" on my mobile. They wanted to speak to my wife and gave me this 1800 236 278 number for her to call back on.
They said that it was urgent but wouldn't say what it was about.

After telling them that my wife wouldn't bother calling them if she didn't know what it was about they said it was about "Virgin". The thing is that we both used to be on Virgin Mobile (up until about 3 months ago), but if they wanted to speak to my wife, why wouldn't they just call her mobile number (instead of mine)?

All sounds a bit dodgy to me.

I got calls from an unknown number on my mobile. I also got a couple of txt messages from  "NRG Global Solutions" on my mobile. They say its urgent, gave me a reference number also to call back.
They said that it was urgent but wouldn't say what it was about.
These people want to know all my details and I don't think I should provide them with any as they don't say what they want.
Does anyone know where I should report them?
