I had this number call me and I told them to get stuffed then they kept calling every night so I played the game and got the 1800 number they been using, so what you do is when you see a phone box just call the number and leave the phone off the hook cause its jamming there lines and costing them money. Play the game back.

Same approach as previously described. I asked for his email address, not given. I asked how much it would cost me if the they found a malware, trojan, virus etc?    "Ahhh, golly, golly, gosh," that would depend on my operating system and other things! I said "Goodnight and please don't bother me again". He probably will though.

Just want you to know these little Indians are still active. I've just been visited by an Indian accent English speaking chap who gave his name as William Morgan (sounds English?), staff number ME 5909. He called my home phone and gave the same gibberish as you guys had experienced. I went along until he wanted me to download "www.join.me", a software which he claimed needed to allow him to diagnose and cure an infection in my PC .......

New South Wales - just got a call from an Indian gentleman claiming to be from the Windows Help Desk - wanted me to sit at my pc and troubleshoot and clean it up with him on the other end of the phone. I said I had never dealt with him before so didn't understand why he would be calling me.. I then spoke to his 'Manager' who tried to convince me this was a genuine call. Eventually I said I would call him to authenticicate the call and he gave me this number.  A web search tells me this scam has been around a long time.

Just had a call from this number (actually it was private - he gave me this number when quizzed) - he told me my computer was under attack from viruses, and that he was from 'Windows'. He could only identify my registered computer details as what is written in the Telstra book - which is incorrect anyway!!
