Got a call from a hard-to-understand Indian woman who said she was from ICS South Melbourne - said she was doing a lifestyle survey which would take only 30 seconds.  Cannot find any such organisation on the internet.   She said the address was 15 Albert Road.

Yes, Information Contact Services also called me and were very persistent.
Seemed to have incorrect information about me and my husband.... wanted to make an appointment etc.
Eventually I hung up.

I am also getting these calls, they said they did not need personal information then confirmed my name, address and wanted date of birth.  I used to work in a fraud detection in a bank,  these details are enough for these bozos to set up loans in your name.  
Do not  give them info or confirm.

This company keeps calling. Over 4 times in 12 months. How can I get my number of their list.
Same questions and when tackled they keep saying they are not selling anything. About 12 months ago it led to a company selling mortgage products.

Just got a call from ICS, Indian lady by the name of 'Sharon Peters' asking the same questions as raised above (employment, house ownership, income etc). The address from where her company worked was 3/552 Albert Rd, Sth Melbourne. Be aware...

Just received a call from a lady requesting my details (employment) and she said she was from ICS in South Melbourne (yeah right!!) call quality tells me it's OS.. when I gave her false information she just thanked me and ended the call..hahaha  I could have stayed on the line rambling on about crap... I'm listed as a Private number and like hell I'm giving them my personal information...it's bad enough I get interrupted at 7.35pm when I am listed on the Do Not Call Register and a Private Listed number.... screw 'em!

with these scumbags, as with all of them, first thing I say is "This call is being recorded" which causes them to hang up quicksmart.

Don't trust 'Information Contact Services' of Albert Road, South Melbourne,offering to give a 50% tax reduction.  They wouldn't give any other info.  They said I or my partner had responded to a survey recently (a lie), thus bypassing the 'do not call register' requirement. Indian continent accent, so probably overseas.  No number came up on my phone.

Called today after 6 pm Very persistant to confirm my address, and claimed that I had filled out a survey,
No survey was ever filled out and they had my name from a database. (I know because they had the wrong name). I asked for a contact number and they refused to provide it.

Domenic from Information contact services phoned me today - Saturday morning - to say my husband had completed a survey with them and we were selected out of 10 couples in our area as winners of a tax saving promotion.  These people are phoning me every day with the same scenario when I ask them any questions they just hang up.  How rude!!!  They will be getting some rude feed back next time they call me.

Got a call from these guys today from on o/s call centre - they wanted to know very personal information about incomes, whos working, assets etc, and consistantly kept reasking same questions which I had declined to give personal information on -  which one would consider a breach of my privacy.
Made out it was a survey for impact of market rates hikes - on a week when news was otherwise.
Any survey from these guys is not to be trusted - as you will have no control over the end use of the information you give them and who or which scammers will end up doing you over.

Got a call from these guys today asking about jobs, income, house value & amount owing on home loan. I told lies to all their questions. They even knew my name & address (although the lady had trouble saying it). Didn't try and sell me anything, but that maybe because I told them I'd put the phone down if they did. Call only lasted about 5 or 10 minutes but she did have the cheek to ask for my mobile number at the end. I didn't give it.

These guys are calling every other day. They start the call by saying they are not selling anything, it's just a survey of the people in our area. When asked where they are from I was told Sth Melbourne. when asked to be put through to the person who could remove me from their phone list she was very vague, confused, and hung up on me. So dodgy so persistent.

Same company different number 1800509443, Indian accent female and sometimes a male; have called me every second day for the last 3 to 4 years.They ask me if I am the person they think owns the phone, I say no I am Elvis Presley. My response always ends in 'do not call me again' and even f... off, still these scam artists persist.

I 've had a few calls fro this mob over the last few weeks. Last time they called and asked "is that Mr. xxxxxxxx?" I replied "hold on I'll go and get him for you" I then placed the phone next to the PC speaker which was playing music and just left it. Funny though they had hung up when I checked back 10 mins later!!!

These guys just called me - same script as previous comments. I can't believe it's still going around after seeing the first reports are from five years ago!!

Yes they have run four times in the last two weeks.

They started over a year ago and when I read the experiences on this forum I asked for contact details (phone and website) which proved to be false.

Now when I explain that to them they have rung many times undeer different company names but always with the same intoructory line and that the contact info you provide is false they hang up.

I have tried to complain to a number of organisations (Consumer Affairs, AMSRS etc) in the past but the problem is finding them. Unless youy can contact them these groups cannot do anything. So now I nhave assumed I just have to pouit up with the calls.

I received a phone call from someone called Edward asking for my husband by his first name. The caller said he was from a South Melbourne "Advisory Bureau", and that he was following up on a survey we had done. I said we had not done any surveys. Upon repeated questioning Edward said he was from ICS. I asked him to give me his number and that I would ask my husband to call him back. He reluctantly gave me this number: 1300 885 785. When I rang this number there was a recorded message stating the name of the company as McKenzie Group.

Lisa (strong indian accent) calling on behalf of IMS Management Services wanted to ask a few employment questions that would take 30 secs. I asked where they were located she said South Melbourne. I asked what the address was several times - she seemed to not be able to understand me?! She said Albert Rd. I asked what number...she could not understand me..."What number Albert Rd?" - she hung up!

I just got the same call from a Lisa (strong indian accent) calling on behalf of IMS Management Services. I asked where they were located she said South Melbourne. I too am on the DNC register and get phonecalls everyday like this.

Got a call around 8 pm tonight in Perth wa. Same deal, not selling anything just wanting me to answer some personal questions about employment, debt etc. No explanation about how they got my details kit what they were going to use it for. Gave them bogus info. They talk too fast so you're more likely to slip up and give them legit info. They called from a blocked number and somehow they got my silent number. Will wait and see if they call back...

Somehow this company calling themselves Information Contact Services obtained some information about my wife and I, which may have come from a survey but we are not sure. The details they had were not very accurate..  

My wife received a call at dinner time from a very pushy Indian person. After 10 minutes of telling them that we could not speak as we had guests they gave up.

Yesterday I received the 2nd call from a male calling himself Sam Davis who had an Indian accent. I am sure his name was not Sam and I could see he was full of s**t from the word go.  He pushed for more info and promised us that a rep from the company was coming out to show us how to 1/2 our taxation.  I played along with him and gave him some more false info about my personal circumstances as he was very pushy so I thought i would see where it all went.

So we arranged for a rep (from Sydney) to fly out to see us and show us how to 1/2 our tax. Ofcourse this was free and no obligation to do anything.

I googled their business name and it came up with bugger all except complaints about them. This mob are well versed in pissing people off and are nothing short of scammers.  I dont know if they are selling info to other companies or not..

On the whocallsme site I found a 1800 number for their alleged company. So I called them and some Indian answers and it was obvious he was struggling with my questions. So I asked to speak with a supervisor. A male with a Pommy accent gets on the phone and says his name is Paul.  I gave him a bit of agro on the phone and asked to cancel the appointment. I also asked for their www which he finally gave me a completely different business name (which does exist on the www). I basically threatened to find out who he was and where he was and if I received another call from them or anyone Indian asking for info then i would take it further and pay him a visit. That seemed to work..

Yesterday, 29 Sept, a woman with a strong Indian accent called. As with all those who have posted before, was told she was not selling anything but was doing research on working lifestyles. Seemed to be interested in whether or not there were working people in the home.  Usually I hang up immediately ...must have been brain dead, but answered some of the questions until I stopped and asked for more information on where she was calling from. Melbourne and Information Contact Services was the reply. Then she said she could help me get tax breaks... So much for just research.  I told her I was not comfortable answering anymore questions and said goodbye before hanging up.  She rang back! Told me she could get me tax breaks!
I made a complaint via the Do Not Call Register and recommend others in this situation do so, so that we can stop this kind of rubbish!

Just had a call from 'ICS' - gave them a bunch of bogus info and sent them on their way. No questions about tax/etc., but this was literally minutes ago, so they may call back.
