Got a call today from a girl called Dana at Tropical Grand Vacations congratulating that since a relative has put my name forward and I have been selected for a holiday for 11 days in Florida in Orlando, Daytona and Fort Lauderdale. She was very polite and amiable and the fact that I have a sister on holiday in Florida, which I mentionned, made me think this might have been genuine.

They wanted me to pay £498 for both me and my girlfriend and said the holiday would be anytime within the next 18 months. As a lawyer who is always on the lookout for swindlers and scheisters, I did a company search and found that the company was not registered with the Florida Government and that they are scammers. I told her I was not interested for this reason then she put me onto a forceful arrogant of a t**t who tried to tell me I was talking crap and he saw no reason why I did not want this holiday.

I had to hang up because the message was not getting through!

My advice to people is to ask them if their Zip Code is Longwood , Fl , 32750 - if the answer is yes, then get off the phone.

me and my partner were called today and told we had won a holiday to florida, staying in calypso resort, 2 passes to disneyland, 3 days 2 nights in daytona beach, 3 days 2 nights in fort lauderdale, 3 day cruise with all meals ect included. the whole 15 days should have cost £3099 but we can have it for £598. if we dont take the holiday within 30 days they told us that we could pass it on to a 3rd party plus they said we could take another two people for free. is this a scam?

Hi, just had a call from Dana, the all ''American sweetheart'', telling me about the 80% offer and I would have to pay £500 today, which I knew I didn't have so I was just staying on the call for a laugh with my girlfriend. After speaking to Dana, I got passed on to a seemingly australian??? sounding Steve Graham. He wasn't as polite and a bit of a b*****d to be honest with you. After a while I got a bit fed up with his tone, so I told him I had to go to a poo coz it was hurting extremely and put the phone down... my girlfriend then picked up the phone to hear the office discussing it and laughing about it in English accents??? yeah if it smells fishy it bloody most probably, and this definetely is.

I feel like an absolute schmuck. The website www.calypsocay.com, seemed to disappear after their 8 hour promotion finished, ironic. The fact they reduced the package to $349, just for me, seemed to good to be true. They called me back three times, honestly they must have been desperate, or I sounded like a real schmuck. I thought that was awesome, but obviously I showed some serious interest. I actually stalled them to get at my wifes fantastic plastic, what a dude. Then, (THEN, what an idiot! I should have researched before saying YES) I found this site which indicated it might be a scam. Now it appears the 1-800 number is not in use. I'll keep trying

Telemarketer
called on 7th May,recovering from anaesthesia, fell in. When I tried to cancel later there was no contact. At the time I said I will wait for the mailing to arrive. Sounded too good to be true but after all I did have to pay my own air fare and it would seem as though they were on the look out for further trade.Everyone I spoke to was very polite etc. Good bonuses etc except it's not really the things we are interested in. Now I will have to change my card.
Last week I had another call for a free holiday in New Zealand but I didn't wait to find out more, said non & hung up
