just called my numbers as well .. said they were calling from a computer software company... told them i didnt have a computer :)

This number called my home,but I did not answer,any out of town number that appears on my phone, I never answer them,they are usually all solisitors or scammers.

We've been harassed all evening by this phone number, it's almost 10pm here and it's ridiculous. No reply on the other end, one time I waited and the other end hung up after 10 seconds. We've had the scammers phone before trying to gain remote access to our computer but it was from another number.

Yes, A scam.
Do not answer or trace it through your phone carrier and then call the police.

For anyone who keeps getting those annoying phone calls, my best advice is to do what I did; purchase a Panasonic KX-TG1061M telephone.  You can enter as many of those unwanted numbers as you wish on your phone "blocked numbers list". This is a great feature and you can purchase the phone on sale for a very reasonable price.  No more unwanted calls!

Got a call from this number at my home while I was on my cell phone with my supervisor. I didn't answer it, because my supervisor is more important than a call from a number I don't know. They called back three more times after that within a 24-hour period; each time, no answer when I said "hello", but lots of background office chatter.

These people call 3-5 times a day!

I received a call from this number telling me that they were some corporation that monitors internet activity and that they noticed that while using windows my computer contracted and downloaded a virus. Obviously they were wanting access to my computer so that they could get information from my computer. I told them i would look into it and they hung up.

This number calls my house everyday at the same time nobody answers when you say hello but can hear chatter in the background

This number called my home while I was out but my mom was in, and she isn't that great with English, but got freaked out by them thinking that they were hacking our computer or something. At first an East Indian sounding man was talking to her, but she couldn't understand a word they were saying so they put another man on the line who could speak without an accent. It sounded really loud on the other end, sort of like an office but louder.

Is there any real danger from these calls? Has anyone experienced something wrong with their computer?

I have gotten 2 calls in the last hour from this phone number but after 30 seconds or so of dead air, they hang up. They never speak. It's very annoying.

Got a call from this phone number tonight from 'Sam' in 'Computer Tech Support'. Picked up the phone to nothing but dead silence for about 30 seconds until they decided to speak. What kind of legitimate 'tech support' calls 9:00 at night? SO tired of this b.s.

Caller, who sounded East Indian,  told me my computer had a lot of hidden junk on it and it was in a dangerous situation of being infected. He than asked me to turn on my computer so that he could clean it up, when i told him i had my own security program, he said that wasn't doing the job of cleaning the hidden junk. He said the infection was infecting the computer with a Windows program on it.

sick and tired of getting this g.d. call how come the phone companies aren't doing something about it?

The now familiar "You have many viruses and infections on your computer" scam with some moron from India on the other end claiming to be from some kind of tech support company.

Just got another call from this number.  Seems like some sort of scam involving computers.

I keep getting calls from this number. Nobody responds when I answer.
