Caller stated he was calling from HQ of Carphone Warehouse and that I had been spending too much on calls and could save money. Then asked for my full name. The lines was bad, he sounded along way away (India?) and he sounded form that country too. Needless to say I terminated the call after staing I dont do interviews over the phone.

You dont know nothing about SA or the businees we have with carphone warehouse so if people like you we more wise they would not have moved the business down here so thank you very much for the reply

guess wat you fool if we are as incompotent then the uk would not of have closed there call centre there who for your information was closed down for mis-selling and mis-advising customers and outsourced there business to SA who have brought the company over 1 million pounds monthy and is currently rated the number 1 call center worlwide for both carphone warehouse and talktalk....

Hi this number is not a fraudulant number it is indeed a outsourced call centre in south africa calling on behalf of  CPW.
Ive done an upgrade yesterday with a very professional agent named Wayne Pillay who actually told me he was from South africa,it was the most pleasant converstion ive ever had with someone.
he was very helpful and advised me on a great handset and a brilliant tariff

I work in a call centre. I would never ever make up to 10 unsolicited calls each day to people with whom I have no contract or previous dealings with. You are a piece of s**t! Just trying to make a living my a**e!!!!! They're not going to make more money by using ioncompetent fools like you.

Its all good i have also received my Nokia N97 on my orange contract and i spoke to Michael Preston the Number 1 agent at the call centre in SA. Its all good

I upgraded yesterday with them. This is where CPW have outsourced there buisness to. I actually found the staff very friendly and helpful. They have given me a great deal. My phone arrived this morning as promised.

guys just a quick note, the calls that you are recieving are not fraud calls, the carphone warehouse have a outbound sales team in south afica which do upgrades on behalf of o2 and orange.

this number isnt fraudelant.  i upgraded my phone with these guys on the same number.  it is a new call centre in SA from carphone warehouse.  SA is the new india for call centres

+19255555601 are phoning me 2/3 times a day at all times, again stating they are from the carphone warehouse. Very strange.  They must be obtaining our numbers from somewhere !!

I to have had a call from +1925555601.He asked for me by name then ask for me to hold no so he could get my details up.I was holding for about a minute then told there was a problem with his computer so he would call me back.Spoke to carphone who told me to log it with the police.

Where did he get my information from? I have raised the issue with Carphone Warehouse.

I have also had a call from that number, claiming that he was from carphone warehouse.  He said he could get me the new iphone rather than me wait for the new delivery to be dispatched, i thought this seemed very strange.  I never gave him any of my details and kept questionning him as to where he was calling from, he just kept saying carphone warehouse.... Shady, i put the phone down.

Had a call from +1925555601 today and I challenged him to find out what information he had about me. This number and call centre are based in Durban, South Africa and they claim to be calling on behalf of O2 from the Carphone Warehouse. I questioned him that this was a fraudulent call and he replied, "it is not we have all of your details". I asked him what my full name was and he replied correctly, I then continued to ask what was my date of birth, to which he replied "it is sensitive information we need some details from you to unlock the rest of the details". This is highly suspicious, treat these calls with caution

I have for several days now been receiving calls at various times of the day from a number that shows as +1925555601. I have been suspicious from the start and have simply ignored the call.I am of the belief that if the caller is genuine and needs to speak to you they will leave a message, as yet they have not.

i've had 3 calls in 2 hours from this number and also 1 from a number starting with +27 googled both, and they are both dodgy, didnt answer any of them but am going to carphone warehouse to see what can be done if anything!!!!

I find it very funny that I made an enquiry via the O2 website regarding an upgrade and within an hour of the query I received a call from an international number from the 'East San Fransisco Bay Area'.....

I also 'challenged' the caller when they got my details wrong.... they promptly disconnected

Once call saying they are from o2, told not interested, next day call saying they are from carphone warehouse on same number. I say 'you called yesterday, not interested, please remove me from your list and do not call me again' caller keeps on reverting to sales pitch, telling me this is for my service, each time I interrupt say 'I am not interested in your offers or in upgrading, please stop calling me and remove me from your list', he does not acknowledge, so after doing this 5 times, each getting increasingly annoyed, I hang up on him.

It starting to happen to me now.. 2 phone calls per day.  One at 9.00am the other at 7.00pm.  I'm also up for renewal but unfortunately I'm not in the position to tell them off as there is never anyone on the other end of the line when I answer... VERY WEIRD.

All the above applies to me as well. I had a call twice from this number and I'm with Carphone Warehouse and I'm on 02 and I'm due for a renewal.
