This number called me,  and some Indian, who barely spoke English, gave me his line of crap.  I told him to send me the paperwork, and I'll pass it on to my attorney.  He said, "f*ck you!" and hung up.

These people keep calling me stating I have committed bank fraud with a payday loan. I never took out a payday loan. They will not stop calling me and saying they are coming to arrest me. Their number is 201-203-9996... Do now I keep calling them! I play with them like they play with me. They have a magic jack phone, use it to your advantage. They got so angry! They began cursing... I says let all of us call whenever we get a chance. Say you are the FBI if you want. Federal Busting Inc or whatever. Disguise your voice and make noises. Get them back!!!!

These calls are coming from some Punjabs, that were hired by some collections firm here in the United States.
These collections are from not paying a pay-day loan.
There is nothing anybody can do because they are not in U.S.
I guess you can pay the original debt, from that company find out who hired who, and so on, and so on.

Otherwise just sit back and laugh at these idiots try to scare people into paying them, so they could scam you into giving your account info, so they could run you dry.

Got a call from an Indian accented man who claims to be "Officer Tom Jackson" from Harrison law firm stating there's a fraud case against me and my SSN and that its been passed to a US Court.  Whatever.  Obviously its the same b*****ds behind their bogus claims to be officers from thier bogus agencies/firms.  DO NOT FALL FOR THIER THREATS!!   Keep repeating these b*****ds to IC3, FTC, FCC, etc..  apparently FBI says they are aware of this but aren't doing anything about it to stop these b*****ds

I had a voicemail on my phone from Friday, September 9, 2011 from this number.  The person said that he was Officer Adam Smith of Hackensack, NJ, and was calling me on a legal fraud on my name and SSN.  He stated that my personal info was listed on the case file of garnishment of US for a legal investigation of fraud.  This person was of Asian decent and it was really hard to clearly understand exactly what he was trying to say.  It is hard to work knowing these people are out there somewhere in this world harassing others to gain money illegally by scamming someone.  I have received several of these calls from other numbers from persons of Asian decent about telling me that I owe for payday loans, fradulent check writing and theft that I know I did not get or do.

I have been getting these call for the past month and this time it's from the number 201-203-9996. They told me I had taken out a loan online and that the loan place wired me $500 to my checking account. That I committed fraud because I never paid the loan back. She told me I had a lawsuit against me and I would have to pay the court fees too. Up to 8,000. When I asked her for Information on when supposely I took out this loan and the name of the loan. She called me an idiot and threatened to come to my job and have the cops arrest me. They have also been harrassing me at work. They told my coworker that I needed to call because I had committed fraud and I could go to jail! These people are unbelieveable! They will stop at nothing! What should I do? Its to the point where I want to change my number.

I came into work today, and lo and behold, I had a voicemail on my phone from Friday, August 19, 2011 from this number. I personally do not know what else to do about these harassing calls.  At home I do not answer my phone when I see a number like this.  At work, it is the same but it is hard to work knowing these people are out there somewhere in this world harassing others to gain money illegally by scamming someone.  I have received several of these calls from other numbers from persons of Asian decent about telling me that I owe for payday loans, fradulent check writing and theft that I know I did not get or do.  If I have done all of this, I would have been in jail long before now.  It is getting to become a nuisance.  I have contacted the Attorney General of Alabama and the Federal Telecommunication Corporation (FTC) and no one seems to have the answer to how this harassment can be stopped.  I reported my first harassments to the FTC back in October of last year and was told they would do an investigation with the information I provided to them and get back with me.  Have I heard from them?  No!  I did receive a letter from the Atttorney General Office last month telling me that there was nothing that they can do legally, and I will have to get my own personl lawyer and investigate this matter.  Isn't this about nothing!  What is their purpose as Attorney General?  Please someone explain to me so that I will know.  It is really ashamed that we (American citizens) elect political officials into office and they can not help you when you really need them to.

This people are a menace.  I got roped into paying monies that I was told were owed by my daughter a couple of years ago, then I find out through the FBI tip line that it is a total scam.  Do NOT pay them a nickle, report to the FBI tip line.  The person that called yesterday said he had been out sick that is why he hadn't called in 2 years.  This is getting ridiculous.  STOP calling people now!!!!!  Enough is Enough

This is a version of the you-have-committed-a-crime extortion scam and you are being...
1. charged with fraud or passing bad checks or embezzlement or
2. served with a court summons or arrest warrant or bench warrant or whatever or
3. located in preparation to being served or for a lawsuit or to be arrested or
4. sued for cable TV usage that you've been stealing for years or
5. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

And you have to...
1. call back with your case number or
2. confirm your address or SSN or whatever so you can be served or your papers can be processed or
3. pay $895 now to avoid paying $5,000 in court or
4. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

Beware extortion scams come in many flavors and they constantly evolve to stay one step ahead of the law.
The FBI warns about payday loan extortion scams here http://www.fbi.gov/news/pressrel/press-releases/paydayloanscam_120710
The BBB has issued several alerts on this scam, just google "bbb.org alert phony debt collector"
Never do what they tell you to do but report them to the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

I have been receiving these calls as well. Saying something about they got my number through my name and SSN. I couldn't understand where they were calling from or the company. I called them back and left a message stating that they need to have someone who can talk clear english leave a message and what exactly the problem is in why they are calling me. I get calls from them about 6 times a day. They will call. leave a message and call back in like ten minutes. This company is calling from all over the eastern seaboard. I get it from NJ, NY, Virginia, Conn, and Maryland.

I just received a phone call from this number this morning with the same information. I have received these before and actually got scammed into paying before. Do we have any further information on this number? Thank you all for sharing your stories. These calls are so disturbing and it is comforting to know that you are not in this alone. Thank you again!

They call me constantly, today they actually called me at work and then called again and spoke to my boss.  They say they are calling about a judgement against me.  I've told them to take me to court but they seem to prefer harassing me.  They told me they were calling from White Plains, NY but caller ID said Hackensack, NJ.  When they called my boss, she said caller ID said Richmond, VA.  They told me they were with Harrison Law Firm but told my boss they were with United Investigations.....
