They keep calling me and not leaving messages. June 2014.

Received a call, and after a pause, a lady announced herself as being from <mumbling> Supply Services.  She asked for a business email address to where she could send her product info.   -  After teller her to take my # off her list, and DO NOT call my work # again, I hung up.  THIS IS DEFINITELY FISHING FOR PERSONAL INFO.

Receive at least 3 calls per day from this #. No message is left.

Just got a call from this ## - he said his name was Scott Sullivan and he was calling from the police fund drive - hung upn on him.  THIS IS A SCAM.  Police officers will NEVER call your house and ask for money.

The scam-er at 201-228-1022 keeps calling my house and hanging up when I answer. I understand they do that to get your schedule of hours at home. Also they may be trying to get you to call them back.

DEFINATELY A SCAM!!  Left no message and when I called 201-228-1022 back, recording said "Number not in service"

This number has been calling my house for a few days, never leaves a message but when I call it back it says that the number has been disconnected.  SCAM.

Called numerous times in past 2 days.

Just received a phone call from someone soliciting funds for the NJ Police - donations to be used for bullet proof vests.  He told me there were 3 packages, gold, silver and bronze and needed to know which package I would be interested in.  I told him he can send me info, and I would be happy to review - but like everyone else, I was highly suspicious.  I immediately googled the number  201-228-1022 to see if I could trace it, and was led to this sight. Then, called my local PD, who immediately responded by saying the police will never solicit over the phone.  He had more pressing issues to deal with as they were helping another town with 2 armed robberies.  Bottom line, is ...its a scam, and NEVER give personal info over the phone.  I hope someone spends the time to shut these guys down (although I am sure its tricky).

I also receieved several calls from201-228-1022. Caller does not say much except for a persons first name. The person knows that the name is of a woman and therfore if a man answers it, he would immediately hang up. He has not left any messages at my number. Beware of a call from this number or similar number.

Caller hangs up when answered.  Tried to call back but told number not inservice.

keep on getting hang up calls from this number - i am calling the phone company now.   I don't know how i keep on getting a recording saying this number is not in service when my caller id says this is the number

same thing just happened to me - glad there is this site to check on numbers - i do not give donations over the phone so I dont care if the call is legit or not.   If more people would stop contributing to this kind of soliciting we would not have to put up with these annoying calls.....

Received a call from 201-228-1022 this evening. When I answered and said "Hello" repeatedly, nobody responded so I hung-up. I called the number back and received a message that "I reached a non-working number."

I received a call from this number this morning. The  man claimed to be a police officer and was asking for funds for a police association.  Frankly he sounded like a moron and I doubt that he was anything more than a wanna be scam artist.

I just received a called from him. He called my house every another week, he said he is from Bayonne Police and asking for funding, then I told he I'm not the owner of the house.

In my case it was the police officers foundation fund drive

This phone number is constantly calling my house and asking for my husband. I tell them not to call back but they keep calling.

Received a call from 201 228-1022 asking  if I was the lady of the house.  It was a  man who sounded  tired & short of breath.  When I asked who was calling told me it was the police & this was a courtesy call.  I said I was the babysitter.  Then asked if there was a Mr. in the house & I said yes.  Said okay, this is just a courtesy call & hung up?

Caller ID only shows New Jersey & phone number.  Don't have any idea what this call is about.

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks on home and cell phones. It sounds like a scam. Where do you go to have someone investigate. In this day and age there is no one phone company to call.... I bet there are a lot of people sending money and they just don't know.

Same as everyone else, calls me by my first name like we've been friends for years, then tells a story that I'll be helping the police in some way if I should send some money. THESE ARE ALL SCAMS!!! HANG UP!!

I am a former Police Officer from South Plainfield NJ and I currently live in Bayonne NJ.
No Police Department will ever call asking for donations. The PBA and FOP will sometimes use outside services to solicit donations but usually it comes in the form of a letter.

This has to be a scam as I know for a fact that Bayonne PD NEVER ASK FOR DONATIONS unless it is a toy or food collection and even that is done in the newspaper and dropped off at the station

This is an out of country call if you return the call it is charged to your account.

This number just called my house. I picked up and  said "Hello" twice and they said nothing. I immediately hung up.

called claiming 2 be from 'peace officer fund'

a male voice called.  spoke to my wife, asked for us by name.  then me, husband spoke and they hung up.  i called back, same voice answered, and hung up.

This is a SCAM!!!!!!  They call you and tell you they are a police organization.  They are DEFINTELY NOT.  This BOGUS number they are calling from is from a PHONY Organization.  They are asking for money.  Just hang up.  Do Not Give them any information.  Try to BLOCK this number through your phone company.  Remember this is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!
