I usually make it a point to look up the number on sites like this one before answering.  I hung up after they wanted me to press #1 or #2.  Another letter to the ftc.  Btw, I have make it a point not to put my phone number on any direct marketing crap and even for onlime purchases. Get a spam/fakey email address and use it.

I just received a call from the 1-201-228-1061 and got the same treatment as all the other people who have written their comments. It's a real nusance and a scam the some poor person might bee taken in by this group of rude individuals. I hope that there will be someone  who will be able to discoverwho they are so steps can be taken to put a stop to it. I too have also received cards and letters from these individuals.

There are rouge companies who decide not to adhere to the DNC list and call anyway; this appears to be one of them.  They called me saying they're been trying to get a hold of me regarding my auto warranty.  My car is 12 years old and has long been paid off.  It has no warranty.  I hope everybody out there complaining about this company is also reporting them to the FTC.

I too get calls from this number regarding an auto warranty, am on the no call registry, have requested that they take me off of their list.  Somehow they've gotten my cell phone number and I just got a call on it.  These people are RUDE and it appears we have no means of re-course, and that's why they get away with it.   I'm TIRED of paying for phone usage that I have no control over, I'm tired of paying 50% in taxes on my phone bill.  I'm taking a nap :)

I get a call from this number probably twice a week talking about extended warranty on our vehicle.  We are also on the Do Not Call list.  The extended warranty on our vehicle expired about three years ago, so we knew this was a scam since they state in the message  "Important info on your vehicle's warranty that is about to expire..."

I got a call this morning from (201)228-1061.  The auto message started out saying they had important informantion regarding the warranty on my vehicle and to clear up the matter immediately.  So I pressed the number prompt for customer service (knowing it was solicitation) to get them to give me more information on their company - the reason for calling me and to be removed from their call list.  The man was awfully rude from the start.  He gave his name as Steve.  I always remember their names for accountability.  I said I was waiting for customer service to inform me of the nature of the phone call.  He immediately asked for my vehicle i.d. number.  I asked why. He quipted back, "Do you or don't you want the warranty for your vehicle?"  I replied "You all called me, and I'd like to know the nature of the call". He said "Do you want to continue to pay out of your pocket for repairs or do you want a warranty?"  I said that I was attempting to get details about the business first before I gave out information and again they called ME I didn't call them.  He nastily snapped back, "Well if you don't want it, next time just press 2!"  Then the unprofessional brut hung up on me.  I called the number back several times to speak to a manager, but all I got was a busy signal. They're up to NO GOOD - preying on unsuspecting victims in some way.

Very rude - makes it sound urgent and we're on the no call list.  He actually said to me, "The next time someone calls press 2 not 1."  And he promptly hung up.  Why isn't the Do Not Call List working.  We shouldn't be getting these.

This auto machine called us about some urgent car warranty -- I was told to press 1 to clear it up, when I did it dumped my call.  I have tried to call back and all I have gotten was a busy signal.  We are also on the "Do Not Call List" as well.  This must be only for outgoing calls.

Within 15 minutes of my return home from a week in the hospital, I received a call from 201-228-1061 telling me the problem was urgent and had to be taken care of immediately. I missed what the female voice said the problem was, but I was told to "press one" to start action.  I did that, then became concerned and hung up.  I once read of a scam where a victim was called and asked to push certain keys, for some persuasive reason, and that enabled the caller to make long-distance or some sort of toll calls charged to the victim. I notified my phone company, and was told I did not trigger such a thing, but that this number was pushing a scam.  Let's shut them down.

Hey people, this is a scam. I contacted authorities and they confirmed they just want to get your credit card # and bilk you! Well they called me back and I played along, when asked what kind of car I had I told them I have a 2005 chevy impala they said 'hold on'. After about 30 seconds the woan gets back on the phone and says she has my ifo right there and the info came from Chvey and my warranty expired last month. (I drive a 72 Ford truck by the way) So I could buy extended warranty for my 2005 with 32K miles (would still be under warranty anyways!) and it would only cost $2750 for 3 years 36K. I said'what a deal! sign me up!' I was transferred to someone to get my credit card info ans he asked Visa or mastercard and I said visa, 838.... He said its a visa, should start with a 4 and I said oh a 4? ok 4 you can eat $h!t and bark at the moon you no good scam artist stealing from old ladies! You should be ashamed and how do you sleep at night? I said I was glad to be wasting his time so he couldnt steal form old ladies while I was taking up his time and he wouldnt hang up. He said I was a scum bag! and I told him it was probably a good feeling to be able to call someone that himself for a change!. He stayed on the phone while we traded insults for almost 10 minutes all the while I was telling him I was wasting his time so he could steal from people and as soon as I am sure he had another call to try to get credit card info, he hung up on me. They dont have any Info on anyone, its just a roll of the dice. If you call enough people, you will make some hits and at $2750, how many successful hits do they need? Just a few a day would be a huge profit and I could hear they had so many scam artist chattering away in the background, there must be dozens taking thier roll of the dice. Dont fall for it, I suggest you play along for awhile and waste their time as it seems the government cant end it, and after they have some time invested they want to stay on the line and close the deal. Just take the time to give 'em hell, waste their time and think all the while you may be keeping some hard working unsuspecting person from being ripped off for $2750!!!

They just called my office, but my new phone number is some other guy's old number, so I thought it was a call for him. I tried to explain that the guy they were trying to reach doesn't have the phone number anymore, and they transferred me around three or four times, and one time, the guy didn't know he had me on the line; I heard him say to someone else, "Yeah, b***hes love that s**t." I said, "Hello?" and asked who to talk to about the phone number misunderstanding, and got transferred back to the original woman who answered my call, and when I told her I wanted to clear up this misunderstanding, she just hung up on me.

A little more information: someone found the guy's name in a reverse lookup directory. It's Gregory R. Biancone of NJ. Upon further investigation, I did find a Greg & Catherine Biancone at 319 Spring Dr., Newton, NJ 07860 - however, please note that I am not certain if this is the same Gregory R Biancone who runs the auto warranty scam. I would call and ask if I knew how to pronounce their last name.

I did a reverse look up at a pay site to see who this number belongs to.  It is registered to a Rudolf Biancone at 1 Monroe Ave. Roseland, NJ 07068.  Looks like this guy is the scam master.  I hope my $20 look up helps, so start calling this guy and make him feel our pain LOL! His number is-973-228-1061.  Have fun!

Ok, it seems that this number (201-228-1061) has been causing a great deal of frustration. I do want to inform everyone as a telemarketer why this is not being directed away from you. For starters; the Federal DNC list does NOT cover charities, non-profit, surveyors refraining from selling, political or organizations, and established business relationships (companies you do business with or inquired about). To stop those calls you must ask personally to be removed from thier list (takes up to 30 days from request). Secondly, this number has NOT followed the DNC list because it is a residential number and violates ALL telemarketing laws. They refuse to give personal and company information. However, I have found some information that helped me put some light on it with the FCC and FTC. The number is in Leonia, Rochelle Park, and one other that starts with an "R" in New Jersey. The last name "Biancone" was confirmed by a people search company that the number is registered under that last name (Biancone). I personally have reported all this information to the FTC and FCC, and I suggest you all do the same. The contact information for FTC is avaliable at FTC.gov and the FCC information in avaliable in the front pages (blue, government) of your local phone book. You will want to call the Consumner Info. number for the FCC and speak to someone about these calls. Also, the people calling do have about three different recorded messages. Just be aware and protect yourself!!

These same individuals called my house on a Saturday at 8:00a.m. in the morning.
I have caller id and I have been home all week and never received a call from this number. I really have no idea why they called or what they want. My son answered and they wouldn't say anything. So he waited a second then hung up. I tried to call the number back and it was busy. I will be reporting this to the ftc/fcc and to my local state representative so maybe he can help push the DO NOT CALL ISSUE and start penalizing the predators.

I hate these people calling non stop 4 or 5 times a week.  I just tried to talk to a lady on the phone and believe me I was upset.  I asked her if i could talk to a manager and when I did the b***h hung up on me.  I was thinking to myself and this is how they do business.  These people need to be stopped.

I got this call as well but it said my warranty was about to run out and that I had to pay a fee of $600 or I had to forfeit the car. funny considering my car is an 86 I bought used and its warranty probably ran out 17 years ago.

Note the voice that the message used is the same womans voice that Gamestop uses to notify you that a game you had preordered is due to arrive the next day.

I am on the no-call list.  I no longer answer the phone when I see this number.  They sometimes do and sometimes do not leave a message.  Something needs to be done about this type of call.  How do they get away with it?  Isn't there someone out there who can do something?
