I also got a call form this place. However, it was legit for me. I had let my newspaper subscribtion in the Metro Detorit area lapse. They called to offer me the deal. It was a great price to re-subscribe, so I did it. Gave my credit card number, and figured i was convered under my credit card company if it wasnt legit. Worked out fine. They chared my card the $26 and my newspaper arrived again within 2 Sundays.

It is a scam. I had recently let my newspapaer subscription lapse. This number called me numerous times and I finally answered. They seemed to know all about me (name, when subscription dropped, etc.) They offered me a 1/2 off deal to re-subscribe for a year. Thinking they were legit, I gave my Visa number (I had been using it for years with the Commercial Appeal). Promised delivery would resume in 2 to 3 business days. No paper ever came. Nothing ever was charged to my account so I closed it before they could charge on it.

Got a call from this number at about 6:30 central time tonight. Did not answer, and they did not leave a message. Don't know how they got my cell #. Kind of annoying.
