Having an unlisted and unpublished number doesn't work either as I have both and continue to receive calls from 201-257-4421.  I never pick up, but apparently they don't give up either.

This is ridiculous! it won't stop calling (10 - 15 times a day!)

Just what everyone else has been saying. This number 201-257-4421, Ive been getting random calls from this number, and have not answered. I screen my calls, but they do not leave a message. beware if it is a scam like I read above. Gas card scam or something like that.

I received this call for the first time yesterday and again today.  I was immediately tipped off because the caller no longer has a heavy accent, as described above, but is using a computer generated voice.  As soon as he asked for a $1.00 shipping charge I hung up.

So this has been going on for a while, anyone figure out how to take care of it.  I've gotten phone calls from 201-257-4421 and 231-224-2009.  I am getting very pissed off that this has been going on for so long and still no one has been able to do anything about it!

Not only am I getting calls from this number,201-257-4421,but also from
727-869-9717,231-224-2009,517-933-2009. I answered one call and was given a big speal about being a loyal customer, and would receive a $300 gas card for only a small S&H fee. The woman spoke very broken English, and when I told her that if I was to receive a free card for gas that it should be totally free...
she hung up. Can't someone put an end to these calls?

I have gotten multiple calls from this number at all hours of the day. They seriously need to stop calling me.

I have got 7 phone calls just in 2 days from this phone number but I do not answer it. I wish someone would do something about this but do not know who to contact?

This number has called me a gazillion times and I just now answered it.. The first time I answered they hung up on me. They knew my name, address, and the end of my debit card number when they called.. Why the hell would they call me if they already had all the information?

this phone number has called me about 16 times in the past 2 weeks. I tried to call it back and it didn;t even ring just said the voicemail was full. I also looked up the numbes and its form hashbrook New Jersey. So annoying. I want to B***h this guy out!

Same as the rest of you.  These s.o.b.'s have called three times now, offering me $300 worth of free gas for being such a "loyal customer".  Somehow they got my phone and the last four of my debit Visa.  I asked what company they're with, same answer, "Gold Coast".  Same woman, same thick accent, (unidentifiable), same scam.  Like everyone else, I wonder how and where they got my phone and last 4 card numbers.  Cancelled my card immediately.  I'm going to the FBI, the Justice Dept., Immigaration and hopefully Interpol.  These a**holes need to be incarcerated.  This is international criminal activity, and as such there is no border restriction.  Although the number comes up as New Jersy, it's obvious that they're jumping onto a national landline from overseas somewhere.  I read some of these blogs that think this is just some tele-marketing scam.  Be advised, these vile, insidious creatures want to remove every penny they can from any unsuspecting individual (older people, who are much more trusting and succeptible come to mind).  This isn't just a scam, it's an attempt to rob you of your hard earned money.  In this current economic climate, that makes them even more contemptible!!!   We're talking multiple felonies or the international equivalent.  Let's get these maggots and crucify them!!!

12/9/2008 7:10pm.  I have been receiving calls from this number to my office line and today I finally took the call.  The guy speaks very fast when saying about the card name "GOLD COAST". He has said very similar contents with postings above - Star w/ thank me for keeping the MASTER CARD eventhough it has not been used in a long time, the card ends with ####(too fast, I couldn't remember what number), then offered coupons and gift cards except the amount has went up to $300 of gas coupon. When I told him I want to cancel that card since I have not been in use for a long time then he start to say "Ma'am, it's probably too late of your time. You have misinterpretation about us, good night" and hang up.

Add one more story of the same to the list. I get numerous calls from this number at random times. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. I am so glad that I didn't answer this one. Like the rest of you, I just want the calls to stop.

I think once you pick up this number, you get put on to more distro. lists.  I now get calls from other area codes and (no number) about Visa and MasterCards with the same scam offer.  

This is horrible and I wish I could figure out who the heck is doing these phone calls.

Please fill out the FCC form posted here on this website.  I think page 3?  If we all file complaints about the same number perhaps the FCC will do something about it.

I have never had issues with scam calls until recently. This is the first one ever. Right before I started getting these calls from 201-257-4421 my computer was attacked by the scam virus "Microsoft 2009 antivirus", which is designed to gather your personal information after you download it thinking you are getting an upgrade to your microsoft antivirus. I got rid of the virus but shortly afterward these calls started. They call my phone about 5 or 6 times a day at random times...one time was after 10:30pm. I never answer and when I call the # back it says "you have reached out marketing department....etc.."

I got a call from them today and the caller id says Gold Coast.

I also keep getting calls from this same number.  I have saved it in my phone's contact list so the next time a call comes from this number, my caller ID will read "IGNORE THIS CALL!".  I sure hope law enforcement gets ahold of these idiots!

I meant to add to the message I just posted that I also made this change to this number's contact info in my phone:  I changed the ringer so that calls from this number will be "no ring".  At least I won't get irritated by their late calls or when I am driving or when I am at work, etc. because I won't even know they are calling....again!

Total scam, same story as above. After she talked and give me all information (about me) that she knows. I just said "I am not interested!" then she hung up. My friend sent me an email beforehand, so i have an idea. Just dont give the code at the back of your credit card, that is the last thing they will ask, since they already have all the information they need except the code. She is an Indian (again!)

The caller says they are calling about my Visa account.  I don't have a Visa account.  I think this is a scam.

I am so upset that their are four pages full of complaints about this phone number. I never look up these types of numbers but something triggered my mind to look into this and I found this site. Now I am freaking out because of what someone wrote earlier about them having almost all of my information already and they canceled their credit cards just in case! I am wondering if I should do the same! I think I will talk to my husband about it but am very upset about this.

We should get a mob together and go kick their a**es!! If only we could find them! I'm glad I haven't answered this call and now I definitely won't thanks to all of you!!

Oh one last thing... you do NOT need to upload anything to your phone or voicemail system.  Just hold the phone near your computer speakers so it picks up the disconnect tones and then talk into your phone and leave your normal message after that.

Sorry, but this is not the end all solution.  Yes you will not get multiple calls from the same number.  But these idiots are porting their entire phone list over to new numbers they call from.  So I have still gotten 1 call every couple of days from a "new" number.  It does cut down on the volume but the only way to be truely rid of them is to get an new number.  Make sure it is unlisted AND unpublished.  It is important to ask for both.  Unlisted is not listed in the phone book but if people know your name they can use directory assistance to get your new number.  Unpublished and they cannot get your new numer from an operator.

Good luck to all.  I am changing mine.  I am looking into virtual phone numbers in the future as well.  So I can use them online for ordering stuff and throw them away if necessary.

Someone keeps calling me from this phone number and mentions the last 4 digits of my credit card.  The person has a heavy accent.  I've gotten 4 calls and when I tell them to put me on the "Do not call" list, they just hang up.  This is harrassment!

keeps calling me about my credit card..surfing and probing for more information then hangs up.  the number restricts call back

Seems as if I have been getting more and more calls like this. I have about 7 numbers under my ignore list so far. Those numbers include 484-320-2103, 517-931-2011, 517-931-2012, 517-931-2013, 727-235-6198, and 201-251-4420.

These bastards called me 3 times today. I answered once and no one answered. The next time they call I will threaten to kill them, how annoying!
