received call from this number and when I tried to ask them to stop calling me they hung up on me... they've called me repeatedly even when asked not to

i don't know who they are i answered and hung up right away. i am sick of these calls. i think it has some thing to do with my cable company. i get my phoine service from them and i think they are selling the numbers. i have never recieved so many telemarketing calls before. i aways have my # unlisted,but, i checked online the other day and my # popped up. i'm glad i'm paying extra to have an unlisted #!!!

they call my work, i press 2 to tell them that they are reaching me in error and it says that the mail box is full... no s**t, because no one wants them calling them... i press 1 to hear about their "great offer" and tell the jerk that answers to take me off the list, and he hangs up on me!

Once I got transferred to a human, I asked to be placed on their do not call list and the male voice hung up on me.  Date of call 7-25-08 at 17:37 hours.

This number calls repeatedly.  There are a couple of other numbers that are connected to the same people.  I have tried to opt out, but when I get someone on the line at the end of the recording, and tell them to take my number off their list, they hang up on me.  I dial the number back and sometimes, there is an opt out, but they still call back.  I've even gotten someone by calling back before and he said he would take my number off the list, but I STILL receive calls.  I do not need DISH NETWORK.  I already have it.  I think I will sue.  They are taking my rights away by continuing to call, and they are breaking the law.

WHEN ARE THEY GONNA GET IT? IF i WANTED THIS i'D CALL THEM.

I looked this number up also, as I'm in Tennessee and have family and friends I've not seen or heard from in years in NJ.  The only free info I could get was that it's a private land line in the next town over from where I grew up. Hm.

Just got this call, November 19, 2008 at 1:34pm central time.. it was about extending our vehicle's warranty. When i pressed to opt out of further calls, I got dead air.

Probably the 25+ time they've called my house for a "Warrenty extention"

In the past, giving responses to them when they ask the make and model of my car along the lines of "Funny... I'd figure you would've known that considering you must know it's warrenty wore out." This time however, took a step further, and demanded that they remove my number off their list.... Exchange as follows

Me: "Also, I'm once again, personally speaking to you right now, remove my number from your list now and never call back again"
Rep: "Alright, I'll remove it tomorrow" (bull crap, now you are just a terrible liar.)
Me: No, not tomorrow, RIGHT NOW!
Rep: "I don't have time to do it" (ok... you are either a blind idiot or so ignorant and even worse of a liar than initially thought.
Me: Remove my number now, or I will be filing complaint with the FCC and the Better Buisness Burreus.
Rep: "I don't have time for this! (getting more indignant with me)
Me: "Fine then you've made your choice, give me your Supervisor right now."
Rep: "Your not the boss of me, and I don't have time for... (yea I get it, your a whiny little idiot who doesn't like an angered consumer fighting back so you figure if you say you don't have time to do that, I'll go "Ok sure! and by the way, when you "conviently" forget to do that tomorrow and call me latter on during the week, shall I forget this situation?")
after that, he soon hanged up on me.

As to the previous, unfortunetly, this is probably just a proxy number they use to filter their calls and not give away their real location on Call ID.

Got a call from them and they are no longer Dish Network. They now represent a Warrenty Extension Company. I pressed one because well I have a 2008 vehicle and wanted to know how they got my number. They wanted the model and make on my car and of course I refused but told them I demanded to know how they got my number and the response was "we literally have everyone's number" isn't that comforting? He then asked for my make and model again and I told him he shoudln't have my number because I have a brand new car and he hung up on me.

Here is what needs to be done!!  Call the Federal Trade Comission 1-877-382-4357, press one for English, 2 to submit a complaint, then give your information to the FTC.  They are collecting reports and once they see it is happening to more than just a few people, they are willing to work on stopping the calls.   WRITE down the phone numbers on your caller id and keep track of the name they use for the business.  Give the FTC those numbers and names.  They will give you a report number and you can add to it as they continue to call.  If you are getting calls from "Authorized Dealers of DIsh Network"  you can call corporate Dish Network at : 720-514-7631.  They will tell you that they aren't calling you directly but that it is dealers.  Mr. Kimball will take your information and work on having you not called anymore.  Also, collect the numbers and file a complaint with the Better Business Beaureau.  Dish Networks address:  EchoStar Communications PO Boz 105169, Atlanta GA 30348.

This one is going to be thorny to shut down, but  I've a plan.  First, here's the ID detail.

The people calling work for a company, but aren't representing it.  They are using their physical access to the facility to commit outright credit card crimes.  This isn't a shady marketer or such.  These are NJ crackheads calling to get your credit card number and nothing more.  In some cases, they have simply hung up after getting a sucker's CC number.  Bottom line, this isn't a Do Not Call violation, or such.  It's outright fraud/theft.  Report it to the local police authorities.  They conveniently provide email contact at chief_colaneri@hhpd.com.  They're rude and abusive and hang up because they're outright criminals.  If it seemed a bit much, well, it is.  Oh, they pick Dish TV as their scam because they have the most fined telemarketers on record, plus they actually do call for them, so it seems to them something that people will believe is actually telemarketing, instead of crime.

The company whose facilites they are using is Omnipoint Communications Incorporated.  Their main office is at 60 Newark Pompton Tpke Wayne, NJ 07470.  But Omnipoint is all over the place, a Delaware corporation registered as a foreign entity in NJ, based in NY.  But they are actually owned by T-Mobile, based, in Washington State.  In the US, that is.  They're a multinational with offices in the US, based in Washington.  Anyway, there have been a number of lawsuits about the placing of those satellite towers, brought against Omnipoint by municipalities.  There's a pretty good body of case law that T-Mobile is civilally responsible for the actions of locals in the employ of Omnipoint.  There's a standard legal contact there that handles such issues.  I think the right approach is to formally- that means in writing and to the address for legal service as well- notify him of the criminal actions of Omnipoint employees, and let him know that he will be held civilally liable for any damages and fines.  Given the volume of calls/complaints, T-Mobile's continuing to provide a premises/hardware for the rogues' criminal activities is actionable  He has email too.  His contact info is:

ROBERT DOTSON is basically the COO, I believe, though it's easy to research their corporate structure for what you think it would be worth.

Oh, the number the crooks use for their "real business phone" is 201-257-4801.  If they're toked up and you call with the right scam of your own, you might get them to reveal something of their ID that Omnipoint can use to finger them.  As if they don't know already.  At least you'll have a chance to yell obscenities at them before they do at you.  If you have ANY doubt about my characterization, call and say, "Hello, I'm Joe Smith of the Boise office of the FCC, and...", and you'll hear, "Yeah, F*ck You", and he hangs up.  That's not an ambitious telemarketer.  Hacking their internal PBX reveals that he has recorded his name on the extension as "Richard Cranium".  Truth for once!  Yes, dude, you are D****Head.

These people call all the time and I have spoken to several "promotions specialists" at first asking them to stop calling now I have told them several times to stop calling. These people HARRASS people, so if anyone knows who these people are I would like to know asap. I tried calling this number back and it goes to voicemail. How convenient, they harrass the hell out of you but when you call them it goes to a voicemail!!!!

2 calls in 30 minutes. I answered the 2nd and went thru prompts.
Got A live person. Gave him my number and asked him to repeat it.
"Why am I taking your number?" Because you are going to take me off

satellite Tv sales

These people refuse to obey the law.  I have tried to ask this dish network telemarketer to take my number off the list, but they hang up on me.  I've also called back and was able to speak with someone.  They took my number down to mark off the list, but have continued to call regardless.  They called again today.  I tried to call back and got a message saying the party I'm trying to reach cannot be reached, please leave a message.  I already have dish...and do not need it.  I wish they would stop calling.  I'm ready to sue.

They keep calling my cell phone.  When I answer I get a recording.  If I press #2 to be removed, I get a full voicemail box.  If I try to speak with a rep, as soon as I say, "I would like to be removed", they hang up on me.

today i felt like picking up all the weird numbers from out of the area..im am so tired of them calling everyday..so i waited til the recording is done...i had to press the 1 twice..finally a "jeff" came on the line and ask if i was interested in the dish or whatever it was he was trying to sell. i said no..youre calling a business phone....dammit he hung up on me..before i even get to say another word...tried to call it back..but i only got a vm..so what the heck..i left a message saying its rude to just hang up on ppl and STOP CALLING THIS NUMBER!!!  ughh im very agitated at the moment...

they called and "said" that they'd be stopping by later today to install my satalite dish... wtf?  i don't have satalite and never want it!!  they call too often for me to know how to deal with them---at least 5 times a day  T_T

I am in Alabama but have family and friends in New Jersey. I received the call yesterday 7-17-08 at 5:34pm and than 5:45 pm ct. I was somewhat excited because my family and I had been wanting on a call from that area code and praying it was a relative that has been missing, just to find out once you finally get someone it says any questions please call ComCast. I was told this number is a mobile number.

I actually called back and got a hold of three reps who all hung up on me when i asked to be removed from their call list...three!  I finally had to do a call block for the number, but they must have a computer dialer becasue I received several more calls from this area code, just with different ending numbers...

These people gave me a rang today too. I believe It's Comcast. An internet/phone service. I would suggest calling back and leaving a message to be erased from their call list.
