Phone rang. Checked Caller ID. Didn't recognize the number.  Didn't answer.  Done.  No muss.  No fuss. Not much time taken up with nonsense.  
Didn't pick up to let the caller(s) know that it was a viable number. Didn't listen to find out what accent was used or what the purpose of the call was.  Didn't care then.  Don't care now.
Didn't get upset if the DNC was adhered to (I'm on it but scammers, who don't follow the DNC guidelines, will find ways to get around it) or what Obama is going to do about it.
I have a life and instead of getting bent out-of-shape, morally indignant, cursing and slamming the phone down, and making this a big deal (instead of the small irritant that I choose to make it), I move on with my life.  I'm in charge of what takes up my time.
That's just what I do. Simple.  More power for me and for you, if you follow my lead, right?

P.S.  The DNC IS working; otherwise, calls from legitimate charities, political action  
        committees, annual fundraising, and other businesses that ARE following the
        guidelines would be calling, also.

These scammers called on my cell phone. I don't pickup on any numbers I don't know.
They think I'll get curious and call them back and that way I get charged the long distance fees instead of them..

Wow!  This # sure has been busy; a lot of writers above!!  Same as most of you.  Phone rang.  I wasn't going to/didn't answer.  No message left.  Thanks to all your postings, I've lost any curiosity on who this is -- other than scum, and the # will now be blocked on my phone to automatically reject the call should they call again.

Got a call on my cell. Rang once picked it up and no one there.

Called back to see who it was.  A recording telling me I had earned a 100 gift card.  Don't think so.  It says to press 2 to be removed from their call list.  Probably a scam.

This number called me first on my home number and left no message then minutes later on my cell phone.  Love to know how they got my cell phone number.

Just got a call... Almost midnight, thanks for the wake up call 6 hours too early!

Same thing, rang once, hung up, and it is almost 11PM for us. I Googled before redialing. THANK YOU to all who already reported this, you saved us big bucks possibly!!!!

THIS NUMBER CALLED MY CELL LAST NIGHT AT 1015 PM AND MY NUMBER IS ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST; HAS BEEN FOR YEARS. FCC OR SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE SCAM CALLS. CELL NUMBERS ARE NOT COMPANY OWNED ANY LONGER AND SHOULD BE OFF LIMITS TO SCAMS AND SOLICITATIONS.

I called this number back and it mentioned something about me signing up on a website and for this I can receive a $100 gift card. It also says to press 2 is you want to be removed from their list. I also blocked their number.

All phones at my house are registered with Do Not Call.  I am tracking all the calls from this and similar numbers.  When I have the date and time of three calls I will report them to the National Do Not Call program.  By law the fine is $10,000 for each call after they are reported - per phone number.  We'll see if this is a law that is in good standing today or if - even this - is yet another Don't-Like-The-Law-So-We-Aren't-Enforcing-It.  I'm betting it's either a rip-off scam or a politicians bid for donations.  But I repeat myself.

I received a call/hang up from this number. I was suspicious so I googled the number and never returned the call. However, I do recall making the mistake of call back a few weeks ago. I will check my phone bill to make sure. I think the gov't should persue suspects as criminals. I view this as theft through deception.

See, this just makes me wanna call them back and give them a bunch of fictitious information so that whoever or wherever they try to use this information, it will draw their attempts to someone's attention.

Got a missed call never even heard it ring called back got automated message stating I was eligible for a $100 gift card to be used at Walmart, Target and other business hit option one got a very nice lady would wanted mailing address to send the gift card then said all I was responsible for was the $5.99 shipping and handling fee to be charged on my debit or credit card. When asked what business they were affiliated with she said creative marketing solutions when I asked what would appear on the charge she said IT support. When I expressed concern about giving out my debit or credit information and wanting to validate their business to prove it wasn't a scam she attempted to assure me the charge was a one time only fee. I stated I wanted the name of the business to confirm they are legitimate and she said that where she was calling from was just a call center that verifies demographic information to make sure I received my reward and that none of the billing is handled there. I said I wanted to look into the business before giving out or making any payments over the phone to avoid having my account cleaned out and she said that whether making a payment over the phone, online or at a store down the street that I am not responsible for any fraudulent charges so I was protected by bank or credit card company from falling victim to fraud/scams. I stated that may be so but that I wasn't going to risk my accounts being cleaned out for just a $100 gift card and asked of I could call back after looking into it and she said that was fine "I completely understand we want you to enjoy your gift card and rewards and you will possibly be eligible for a $50 rebate which will reimburse you for the shipping fees and along with the gift card you will be sent information and tips that will allow you to save hundreds and possibly thousands of dollars in your area" I told her I'd look into it and then immediately googled the number and found this site with everyone else testimonies. I wanted to provide more detailed account of the "rewards"/scamming tactics being used by this number. I hung up and will not call back I's recommended ignoring any further calls from this number!'
