Called again and were blocked - again! Our office phones do not ring when a blocked call comes in.
In fact, we have the entire 201 area code blocked.
Buy a call blocking phone or device - they work and they are inexpensive!

Very true

We get about a dozen calls per week re: updating our Google listing. Have to be removed from their call list *many* times, but today I finally pressed 1 to speak w/ someone to have them stop calling. Answerer said my company's name and asked how to reach my boss by name. When I said, "I'm his secrtary," I was promptly hung up upon. I called back to leave message about hang-up, said that's no way to do business and ask them to STOP THESE CALLS!!!Get A Life!!!
As an afterthought, they should also Get A Life!!!

Like the horn idea -- too bad it'd bother others in my *real* and *professional* place of employment.
Lynsey 2014-03-05 18:28:24 Unknown
Ditto!!! I actually pressed 1 to speak with someone, who asked to how reach my boss -- I said I was his secretary and he hung up on me. I immediately called back and left a message about the hang-up, said that's no way to do business and said we gets at least a dozen calls from them every week and would like them to stop . . . . no doubt a complete waste of breath.
Marian 2014-03-05 16:42:02 Unknown
Me, too. As soon as they heard me say "good morning, law office" the line went dead.

************CRIMINALS***********
These CRIMINALS were blocked BEFORE they robodialed my office. I have had the 201 area code BLOCKED for nearly 2 years.
They can change numbers all they want but if they call from the 201, they're toast!

Calls several times a week. Pressing 2 to be removed does nothing. If anything the calls occur with greater frequency.
Oh, and they hang up on you if you press 1 to be connected to a live scammer. Quality service, that.
Chris 2014-03-04 22:42:11 Unknown
You didn't leave your number. How can they remove it? Lol.
WI 2014-03-04 21:30:17 Telemarketer
Says they are google services trying to update your info and they are not selling anything. I receive calls 2x per day for at least the past year. I've reported them daily to the FCC. They have other numbers they call from when you block this number.

Call says from Kearny, NJ Update Google Map Local listing. I actually was able to press 2 to remove from list (which lately there's not an option) but highly doubt it will work. Super annoying to waste a business's time answering these calls!

If you have a smart phone /android load call control on google play to your phone tap the shield go to call find the number tap it and put it on the black list and give it a day and you will never get the call again

The caller ID says B Services... But, when I answered a recorded message says "google maps"

Telemarketer!

I received a call from this number twice today. We have a 2 line phone system and this number called twice coming up as "B Services" and since this is a business I answered. And both times when they called, I answered with our company name. The automated person on the phone said "Sorry we must have the wrong number" It said this both times when the number called our business.

Received a message from this number at my business. It was about one minute of music, why no lyrics, and then nothing.
Jenn 2014-02-28 23:12:00 Debt Collector
Rang here, didn't answer as I didn't know what "B Services" was, no message.
roger 2014-02-28 22:51:03 Unknown

I have a couple of ways to deal with these parasites. First, I let the phone ring three full times before I pick up. I pick up and don't say anything for 2-3 seconds. If it is a computer autodialer, 80-90% of the time the computer will hang up thinking it has gotten a voice mail or answering machine. After 2-3 seconds, I say our company name, but don't give out my name. That way they don't automatically have a name if they call back and get someone else. If I still get a person and they insist, I tell them my name is "Richard Smith"(it's not). It is none of their business what my real name is, they are telescammers who are breaking the law. If they persist in calling over and over again, I tell them that my boss is available, and then I use a sports air horn right next to the phone. What are they going to do, sue me? "Your Honor, I was illegally telescamming and they deafened me!" Good luck with THAT argument. The judge might give me a medal. Reporting these "people"(I use that term loosely) to the Do Not Call Registry is futile, they are usually spoofing their phone number anyway. If you have the time, have some fun with them. See how long they will stay on hold or still be on the line if you put the phone down. Take your cordless into the bathroom and have an extended "deposit" at the Porcelain Bank, complete with very loud fake sound effects. Tell them you ARE the boss and listen to their sales pitch, never saying yes to anything, but always saying that you will look at your numbers and see what you can do. Some scammers will record any affirmative answer you give and then splice it into a call and bill you for whatever they are selling, using that as evidence of an order. Waste as much of their time as you can, because that keeps them from scamming other people, and it can be a really fun stress reliever! Anything that we can do to make this less profitable for these ticks on the butt of humanity is a plus. Feel free to pass this on or add to it with your fun ways of taking back your phone lines. If these idiots would get a real job, the world would be a better place for all of us.
This number called on both of my lines within 5 minutes, and hung up both times.

Got a call a few minutes ago. I am learning to wait before I say anything when I answer. Thinking it may be voice activated as once I speak they hang up. The caller ID showed the number and TBD.

Keep getting these calls saying they are Google. They are NOT Google. Pressing the # 2 button does NO good to remove you from their calling list. Can we start a class action law suit againt these people?????????
Minnesota 2014-02-28 21:08:05 Unknown
This was on another site.
Outfit seeking to sale "affordable" insurance. Call them back and, at the prompt, press 9 to be removed from their list. Otherwise they will harass you til dooms day.

this number has been calling me for a couple of years now, but in the last 6 months, they only let it ring once, then disconnect. i'm thinking it sells numbers to companies and is checking to make sure it's still a working line. who knows?
