yeah i got this call and they didnt say anything but my caller id brought it up as being from CLOSTER NJ, wtf????

Called me last night I called back this morning says it was The Columbus Dispatch (newspaper in Ohio)

received a call from 201-297-5287 - NJ number and I'm in Columbus, Ohio. i don't owe anyone money so i don't know why a debt collector would be calling, if that's who they are. They did not leave a message.

Called 4 times yesterday with a number that ended with a different digit. Today's was from 201-297-5287.
I don't answer as I don't know any one from Jersey. Wish they would stop!

Got a call from this # and they left no message.  I called back and it is a telemarker trying to sell a newspaper subscription.  They asked what city I was in so I am assuming they do this for newspapers all around the states.  Just tell them that you are already have a subscription to the paper and that you are not interested in any others.  They will delete you from their lists.

I receive calls from this number several times a month. I am in Ohio & call comes up as a New Jersey call.  I don't answer because I don't recognize number, and the caller never leaves a message, So, thanks for all of your postings about the number and the link to the Do Not Call Registry.   My cell number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for quite a while, so if they call again I'm prepared and WILL report them if the calls continue!

I've received numerous calls from this number and I live in CA! No message left, just a missed call. Thankfully to all of your posts...I will continue to ignore!! Seriously, what is the point of these calls???

I work at a bank and when they call, it rings on 3 lines all at once and they all hang up as soon as you answer them. They've called 5 times today, and those are the times that I've answered the phone... Seriously....

I work on a switchboard and this number has called about 20 times.  Each time I answer I get a hangup.  Please make it stop!!

We are having the same problem here in AZ.  After you pick up they hang up.  Closter NJ is what the caller ID states.

This number keeps calling my daughter's cell phone and hanging up on her.

Getting this on my cell phone too in Ohio just about every night.

Just found out today that 201-297-5287 is the Akron Beacon Journal sales people, calling from, of all places, New Jersey.

The companies name is Cirtech their websites are cirtech.us and cirtech.biz. Their corporate office is in Gilbert, AZ Their president is Robert Landis their CEO is Louis DeNicola. The email address schema for this company is firstname.lastname@cirtech.us for example robert landis is robert.landis@cirtech.us. The phone number for their corporate office is 480-926-5379. I heard Robert goes by the name of Bob so call and let Bob know you don't appreciate the hangups. Have fun!!

Getting the calls in Ohio too!

I thought RoboCalls from boiler rooms were illegal.  There's no way any live humans would dial numbers out here in California to try and sell an Akron newspaper.

These corporate creeps have no morals or scruples whatsoever.  As long as they make money, they laugh at everyone else all the way to the bank.

Undoubtedly this is a telemarket call that I receive on my cell phone.As usual no message left.Is't there some way to report these calls to proper authorities?  I am on the Do Not Call list  supposedly.

Received a voicemail leaving me this number to call, once on 1/13/2011 and 1/17/2011.  The calling number was actually a Tucson, AZ number (520 area code).  I live in Tucson.

Both messages seemed to be partial messages, my guess is intentionally.  It goes something like "..do not need to return this call, for questions call 201-297-5287."  And that is it.  I think the ploy is to make you think you've missed a message from something important and get you to call back.

They called me today, I answered and nobody said anything.

This is a ploy to get you to call back they act like there was a disconnect but the purpouse is so they don't have to pay the long distance because you're calling them. If you call that number at some random time using *67 you'll get a confused sales rep you can mess with :) They seem to be selling news paper subscriptions for many different newspapers they're based in Closter, NJ I don't know the company name yet.
