201-423-2593 stating it's an opportunity to BETA test the ipad3 by simply going to http://ipad3.mobi and entering the word 'BETA'. Needless to say I knew it was a scam as soon as I read the text message and wanted to make sure others were aware it's only a scam too.

ipad3now.com is owned by a company in Austalia

If you go there, you are sent to a gatorade coupon site that is owned by a companty in the Bahamas.

Gatorade is obviously paying someone for some of this marketing.

You want to cantact them.

lol, the dude has a sense of humor at least. I've lived in/near Manhattan for years and was curious by the address, as I've never heard of Harlem Ave, especially not on the Upper West Side. The closest match is 12 Harlem River Dr 10040 and it's literally a section of highway under a bridge.

Just received a message regarding 'testing and keeping the new ipad 3.'  The # is 347-224-6799.

I received the same text message earlier today from 201-918-0587. Apparently the number is from NJ and a Cingular Wireless phone? I've never received texts or calls on my cell before so I have no idea how they got my number and I'm on the do not call list. Which I know is pretty useless because my house phone is always ringing with obnoxious telemarketers and crap that won't take my number off their list no matter how many times I've asked. I've filed dozens of complaints and all for nothing :/

Obvious scam, everyone knows Ipad is spelled iPad!
