Daniel called from Comodo. He said that he wanted to speak to our IT manager. I asked for the name of the person that he was looking for. He said that he didn't have it handy. He said that our website was expiring and time to renew. He left his number 973 915-3184.
Our IT manager will not be calling him back.

Here is my GUESS as to what this is.. a company simply using the fact that domain registration is in the public record to try and call every expiring domain owner and try to get them to renew through comodo. EVEN THOUGHT THAT IS NOT WHO WE USE CURRENTLY> they are not clear about that and probably if I ever were dumb enough to talk to them it woudl be 'unclear' if you had to renew through them. maybe not but either way this is rude and unprofessional sales calls bottom line. IMO also in my opinion ony, this is same as the zillion mortagage sales folkd who mail and call houselhoilds.. your mortagage is in the gernaral public domain thats a big datbase for salepeople trying to get you to refi through them. there outta be a law...

Aggressive Sales tactics for Comodo SSL certificates. Act like you have an existing relationship with them when you don't. Won't quit calling even after I've asked them to stop twice.

This boy called my office (customer service) and asked to see if the PRESIDENT of our company was in today. I would not know as this is the PRESIDENT he is asking about and then he asked for someone in IT. I put him on MUTE to see where to transfer him and he mocked the tone of my voice by repeating exactly how I answered the phone in a high pitched tone. After doing so he said "Oh, I forgot to mute my phone. Uhhhh..." I then left him on mute until he got tired and hung up.

They keep calling again and again. Saying something about SSL expiration, which is not.

Asked for IT Department... left a voicemail message saying they're calling to discuss renewal options for an expiring SSL certificate for our site.

Caller asked for IT department. Told them I need a name in order to transfer to someone in IT. Then they hung up.

These people keep calling my work number re SSL cert, and they won't stop calling!!!! It doesn't matter if I hang up on them or don't answer. Of course I don't want to talk to them!

Comodo SSL certificate vendor, has harvested my contact information from my existing SSL provider, and wants to sell more services. Safe to ignore completely.

They've called me on my cell phone 3 times today and don't leave a message, also several times in the past. I think they have a database that flags expiring SSL certificates and they call trying to offer their certs as a competitive renewal option. I just put their number on ignore on my cell, but I'm posting this info so people can know what these calls are about. Annoying telemarketers mining databases.
I could probably make my phone# private on the contact info for the digital cert, but maybe Thawte (my SSL cert company) is reselling my info to their competitor somehow? Stupid.

This number is calling our main business line. We answered the calls but nobody is there... at first. Within seconds I hear the all too familiar telemarketer click and then the sound of a loud call center in the background while a young woman says, "hello?" We hang up. We don't deal with telemarketing EVER.
Call came in under #201-620-6929 Caller ID read the name as: V916153514000097

Called about an SSL, they troll who is information and try to scare you into giving them your domain information. Do not accept calls from them.

I keep getting calls/voicemails about the SSL certificate too. I never answer, but the voicemails have been from different people, most recently someone named Stephanie, sounds like she's at a call center. My IT department said to ignore it. It's a scam, just wish they'd stop calling.

Asking about an ssl cert for our website? Sorry, outside company hosts the site, no reason they should be calling about that and not to the default company number. If it was for real they would have a contact here. Sounds like they want you to install a bogus ssl cert to scam your customers.

Keep calling our main office number....but never say anything. I can hear voices in the background...like they are a large call center. Not sure what they want? Wish they would stop calling.
