All calls are recorded, but only the managers verification is played back to the customer when trying to collect money. The customer is not told the call is being recorded until the end of the verification. This was done because of some states laws including Nevada, where one must know the calls are recorded. The person is supposed  to be told this at the beginning of the call not when the call is ending. Horizon continues to test the waters. JUST A BUNCH OF THEFTS. This includes the GM's TOM! REMEMBER  PAUL?

They are a scam, I worked for them for many years, Dennis hit on me constantly, a lot of scams were going on there..He cheated on Carol many of times..Contact the FTC Joel Brewer..He had a good crew of people there Jennifer, Coleen, Dee, Michelle, Nicole,. Tabitha, Michael, Rob and they all left, not fired because he was not paying their employees rather paying his personal expenses, ie Carol's plastic surgery that did no good, his kids college and never paid his x wife Michelle Saccurato a dime for child support or allimoney..He is as crooked as they come..As he use to say Thievery it is..Yes eat those words Dennis..

Just Dealt with this company myself, they also played a recording of a salesmen and myself on the phone,  but when I asked a direct question to the salesmen I was Bold Faced lied to... we do not deal with this company and have never dealt with this company. I caught them in the middle of the BS, I told them my ordeal, was told that an email would be sent to a supervisor, I demanded right then and there to speak with said supervisor, was transferred to Carol Petrak, now... since I was lied to I had them by the balls to ZERO OUT my invoice, sent an email to me with a copy of the ZEROED OUT invoice, with S.O numbers and INVOICE numbers matching. I would suggest in further dealings with this company if you are calling and they play your recording to you... that you listen carefully to the questions you ask, and the answers they give you in return.

I was told to keep the product and do what I want with it.. and I have invoices and RECORDED conversations of my own with these people.. DONE! Cover your butts as they'll try to cover theirs on all fronts. But giving FALSE information to a CONSUMER is totally a bogus move..

Hang up on Carol.  She is the owners girlfriend. A big ugly scam artists.  Sparta Chemicals the same company was in Elmwood Park  NJ and Carol Petrak was screwing Dennis the owner of this company and he was still living with his wife. Carol likes to start trouble with the female employees.  She is very jealous and ahe has good reason to be. Dennis tries to pick up the female employees and I saw HIM GRIND AGAINST A CERTAIN BLONDE THAT WORKED THERE IN THE PAST. She has been fired because Carol found out..

Of course you would lie about this company if they helped you,which I doubt.  They have beem closed down 3 x and I worked there when the FTC came in and busted them.  Stop the lies for them anyone can call the FTC and check it it.  They are SCUMBAGS.  They use people and have no respect for their employees..

I work for a private country club that was being run by volunteer members who got duped by this and did end up paying out $569.  It has been 6 months since the account was "settled" and they are calling again claiming that we ordered more product, and that we still owe money.

I am sickened by this and the fact that this company has taken advantage of elderly, good people.

"The company"  ALWAYS seems to have all the right answers but they still get numerous complaints about the same issue.

This true he is afraid to call and make threats using his real name. Very few of any of these employees use their real names.

Don't pay them nobody else does once they realize the are being ripped off. They don't have a real legal department and there is no way that they are going to come to your city or state to sue you. They would probably end up in jail. They want 25% restocking fee plus the shipping and handling for receiving and returning. Its all a joke with these people.

They are the same company using to two different names. Both operating out of Vegas, but they do have different sales people for each company. Both use the same sales script only the business names are changed. They always missed seeing you because they got rerouted to Vegas for a trade show celebrating their companies 35th anniversary. The sales person promises to be out to see you in about a month and wants to send degreaser or another product to hold you over till they see you. Most of these people don't even have a drivers license much less a car. Maybe its time for Dennis to change this script.  They have been using the same one for years. Star West or Horizon Products its all the same bunch of crooks.

This company is a Scam. Complete liars! Need to be put out of business, now!

Don't pay s*** they won't do anything they can't, but continue to call. They don't have a legal leg to stand on. They wouldn't dare to step into a court room. This would only bring out into the open the crooked s*** that they pull daily. Their legal department consists of a liar who calls himself Don Turner. Most of the employees there are drunks, dopers, and ex-cons. KEEP YOUR MONEY AND THE PRODUCT. They want you to pay the shipping to send it back plus the original shipping costs and restocking fees.

3 years and you guys are still crooks. The only part of your recordings that are played back to the people you are scamming is the verification. I know this because I worked there a few years back and you my dear Tom you threw your supposed friend who got you into the business under the bus to get his position. LIES ARE REQUIRED TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. Maybe Don Turner should use his real name when he calls and makes his empty threats. His real name what TONY? A little old man sitting in an office in New Jersey. Damn maybe its time you GROW UP and get an honest job. I used to see you every day before we moved our offices to California. Oh by the way your $3:00 ball caps and your $10:00 rod and reels are only sent out to your scammed customers only after they have paid $400.00 dollars more than what your cheap a** product is worth and yes I did work there, but I quit.

Thing is - they can't take you to court for something you didn't order.  A recording doesn't cut it as regards proof of order - you can easily cut and manipulate a recording to say what you want.  And it would not stand up in a court of law.  You definitely don't have to pay to ship back or restock - again, you didn't order their product.  Please do report them to the FTC and your state's Attorney General.  I'm sure they can also point you in the right direction - they deal with scammers like this all the time.

Just to be clear the company has NEVER been shut  down and I have been with the company for going on 3 yrs now and am now the regional GM and our 2 part verification goes over price per gallon total price for order we ask if the person on the phone has authority to place orders for the company we ask if we have there permission to ship we tell them shipping WILL be on the invoice and let them know ALL CALLS are recorded we are COMPLETELY 100% legit we carry all licenses how can we be a scam when we ship u product that you use and someone orders on an OPEN bill? All you people need to get a life seriously this is a company that has taken care of me help me bury my little brother when he passed I didn't even have to ask this is a company who paid 10k for a major surgery I needed to pretty much save my life without me even having to ask... You hear all these bad things from people about dennis and Carol think about it how do they "know" that much about them all  they are is someone who worked for the company who didn't work out got fired and then come online and trash talk them GROW UP!

Did you pay for them? I am going to send it back, I don't want to pay the $80 shipping fees but t sure don't want to pay $300 for a 5 gallon degreaser. They told me they won't take it back but I can show that I tried to return

The same thing happened in one of our convenience stores, they played me a recording which makes it sound as if someone else in the company ordered it and they just need a name and an address to send the cashier a free hat with the degreaser that was scheduled to ship. The cashier naturally thought the manager had ordered the product. I called and told the person who answered the phone I needed to return the product because we didn't order and she told me I couldn't return it. I told her I could not pay for something we didn't order and she said we could pay for it or she would turn it over to credit bureau which she has.  They charged us $80 to ship to us and I am sure it will cost more to send back. I wrote them a letter and told them they need to send a pick up ticket to pick up but they won't so since I was able to get their address on line do you think I should send it back.  I hate these companies that try to scam people. This has happened several times before with a paper company.

Did you ever get this resolved?  I have been dealing with them for two months and this is nothing but a scam, will an attorney help me with this?

They changed their name to Star West Labs LLC. SCAM!!!

That is very funny!! We just had the same exact situation happen to our company!!  We have gotten many rude phone calls and also a letter from their attorney.  Good thing I went online and did some research on them because they don't even show up as an actual business!

you need to call the FTC and report them.  they need to be shut down again.  Please get them.  They keep doing this over and over.  Repot them again and again.

Get him .  He is still scamming companies.  FTC shut him down 2x already and they are still watching him.

Carol is dennis saccarottos girlfriend.  She is a scammer and is the whole company.  This company has been shut down 2x by the FTC.  I worked there and they are the lowest form of scum.  Carol Petrak is the owner girlfriend and Dennis the owner has been sleeping with her for many years now and he was married when they were doing it.  He had to pretend she was  a employee and gave her a time card to prove to his now ex wife that she did sales there. Dennis made the sales over the phone and gave her the credit.  She always had to be there to make sure her Horney boyfriend kept his hands to himself.  If she only knew. He hit on anyone that came through the door and still does.   Call the FTC and report him .
