Just Google "Craig Cunningham debt" and the story will pop up. Hmm... VERY interesting!

The discussion concerns a debt collector, not a telemarketer. The rules and countermeasures are different. Debt collectors are *always* "unsolicited* and they don't typically maintain any "no call" list. At most an individual account file might be tagged with instructions, which as "work product" will not travel if the account is resold or reassigned.

The CFPB and FTC have primary federal oversight of debt collection, not the FCC. We have a 35-year old law which grants the right to limit or ban all forms of debt collector contact. That's what you study and use if you don't want your demands met with derision and chuckles.

Here is a suggestion:

With the help of a Google search, try to find an address that belongs to the unwanted number.  If they have a website send them an email stating that you have received numerour unsolicited phone calls from their company and that you have politely asked their agents to put you on their "Do Not Call" list, but this information has fallen on deaf ears.  Tell them this is request # 3 and that they do not have permission to call you.  List your phone number.  Then simply state that if you receive further calls from that company that you will file a claim with the FCC and then follow through on that threat.  Don't just threaten to notify the FCC, get a claim number from the FCC and hold them responsible for their jobs.  This has worked for me.  I finally got Hilton Grand Vacations to stop calling me.  I used to receive 2 & 3 calls a week from Hilton Grand Vacations btu haven't had one since July 17 - so far so good.

I also have an FCC file number against 877-875-2668 that says "Stop whatever you're doing and listen to this imporetant message...."

The only way we're going to stop these incessant pesty calls is to follow through on our threats.  They're like children, you can threaten all you want, but they'll never change their ways if you don't carry through on your threats.  Period.

I just recently got a phone and they called me so many times but I didn't answer and I just recently got a new number (not because of them) and they keep calling me. I just ignore them but next time they call I'm going to give it to a kid and tell them it is Santa Claus

Hard to say. An assessment of your credit history may suggest that you will have sufficient resources to pay up if you're hassled enough. Cap One is aggressive and litigious about asset recovery besides.

} "I have unlimited calling on my phone plan...they do not. So they will pay for every single call for 10 months"

So your great plan is to wait until Pinnacle has spent several thousand nickels on phone calls? You'll be sued for triple your principal before that happens. You might simply dispute the collector by letter and set a partial cease-comm, placing it at risk of a lawsuit from you if your rights are denied, but that is obviously too efficient a solution for you.

Debt Collector
This is Pinnacle Financial. This is a VERY harassing business. I fell on hard times, went into default on an IKEA bill and this bill was sent to them and I started repaying this, to Pinnacle directly, EIGHTEEN MONTHS AGO...I pay a set amount every four weeks, like clockwork, and am only 10 payments away from paying it off and they keep calling me every day telling me that until I give them my bank information and set up recurring payments, they will keep calling me. I actually answer the calls and tell them I refuse to give them my bank info (I pay on their website where I can get receipts). I have unlimited calling on my phone plan...they do not. So they will pay for every single call, every day, for 10 more months until it's paid off. They will spend a lot more $ in calls/paid employees than what I actually owe. They should have just left me alone.

Absolutely.  If they are rude and threatening they are violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  You are entitled to take legal action against them and collect $1,000 plus reasonable legal fees.  First thing you should do is file a complaint with the FTC, your home state's Attorney General, and the Attorney General of Minnesota (PFG's home state).

Record their number on your phone -- so you'll know when they call again.
When they call again answer the phone : "San Diego Zoo!" and see if they want to talk to Me Bear, or Mr Lyons, or maybe Mr Bob Boone?

....  got it..?
