My caller ID reports PCR 201-806-3161 called my home number, They reported with being from Pioneer credit demanding to speak with someone who wasn't at our number, Saying "I don't believe you and we will keep calling until we get what we want." Where it is against the FDCPA laws and I told them to call my attorney who is taking Pioneer credit to court for assing me and thousands of others not caring of the FDCPA laws their website on this matter is here. http://www.fschulmanlaw.com/201-806-3161.phtml

Just received a call at 8:00 pm. The lady had my name wrong and and I asked what this call was about and she said it was a personal bussiness matter. I told her she had the wrong last name and she started listing off other names so I hung up.

Called 10:19am, ID shows as "AST Fund." No message. No idea who they are, I have no unpaid debt, my credit is fine. "Asking to verify my SS#?" Yeah sure, they can kiss my a**!

This # called me and said they had a business matter he needed to discuss but needed to confirm I was me. He wanted me to tell them my address, or ph# he just called, birthday or SS# and refused to tell me why he was calling me unless I confirmed of of the above and got very snippy with me. Just this week on the news there were phone calls made to local motels asking for clarification of CC and a similar scam. My credit report did just recently have a check by Pioreer credit like some of the below posts have listed.

From the other posts they sound like scam debt collectors, so ignore them.  I do have to ask why you have your phone on during class though?

I'm a high schooler and this person keeps calling me in my 5th period class and it is annoying me and its going to get my phone away . It's really annoying I wish it would stop!!

Got a call from these people asking me to verify social security and birthdate info. When I told him I wasn't verifying s*** until he told me exactly what he was calling about he refused to disclose. I don't have any delinquent debt and it is no coincidence these people are calling during tax season. It really sounded like phishing to me so I told him to get bent.

Had a call from this number today and they left an 888 number to call back.  Said they were from the US Dept of Treasury regarding the company I closed in 2009.    Puts fear into you!  I looked up the number and can see it's a scam.    Have had these types of calls before and knew from this site to look up the number.  Thank you!

I have these people calling me also. I called them back and the lady told me i have 32 days to pay off my debt. She must have pulled my credit report because they knew about a recent mortgage I co-signed for. They threatened to garnish my wages that I do not have and withhold my taxes. The lady was very rude and would not tell me a minimum monthly payment so I decided for every time they call me I will call them ten times. They no longer answer my calls.

It is illegal for them to misrepresent themselves as a government agency and they cannot take your income tax refund UNLESS you have defaulted on a student loan, back taxes or owe child support.

I got a call from Pioneer Credit Recovery saying they are collecting a Debt on behalf of the IRS, Is this true does the IRS really have Debt Collectors working for them? If you dont pay will they take your Income Tax?

im trying to figure out how they got my number too. they called asking for my mom saying it was in reference to my aunt. they wouldnt give my dad any information when he picked up. the guy on the phone kept stumbling and couldnt get any words or sentences completed correctly. the number i got is 1-862-902-5937. if anyone can find an answer for how they got my number that would be greatly appreciated

How do I stop these calls? I am making payments thru SS

I get calls on my cell phone my husbands cell and the home phone 5 & 6 times a day I do have a debt but not with them and it is being taken care of thru the social security.How can I stop the calls.they start at 8:00 in the morning everyday.

I have received 5+ phone calls from this phone number in the past couple weeks.  Each time they ask for my ex husband whom I have not spoken to in over 7 years.  The last time I had any contact with him I lived in a town over an hour and a half away from my current residence.  How and why did they get my number since I have been legally divorced from my ex for almost 8 years?  Kinda weird that I would be contacted for him?!

201-806-3165 Been calling me for a week. The minute a lady said her name is Miss___ and that the call is being recorded, I hung up. Before it didn't have an ID.

Actually they are one of the debt collection companies listed on the website of either the SBA or the Department of Treasury. I know this as I owe a defaulted SBA loan and looked it up to see if there were any other way to deal with my bill than through a company called CBE [also listed as a collector for government]. It's too bad you had such a bad experience - my experience with PCR was good- though theirs with me, not so great since they are having to call me and I am looking up their number on the net instead of answering. [ just a little behind] Don at CBE so difficult and rude, everyone at PCR I have spoken with- so polite.

Called cell phone looking for someone else, 11-27-2011 @ 10:36.  Must be a debt collector as stated previously here.

My friend just got a call asking for me, and let me know. He gave me the number, and I called it. The operator answered "Pioneer Credit Recovery". I gave them my name and they asked for my social security number and birthdate. Being that the only creditor I have is my up-to-date mortgage company, this smelled very fishy. When I said that I wanted to know more about what I owe before I give any private information (information someone could open a credit account with). She hung up on me.

received a call from this same company PCR who said they were with the treasury dept also...left message for me to call them back, which of course I did not.

Caller---"Well where does he work" (in a threatening tone)
Me---"Who is this?"
Caller---"This is Mark... where does he work?"
Me---"Mark who?  Do I know you?"
Caller---"Mark Williams..."
Me---Who is this and why are you calling me?
Caller---"My name is Mark Williams from Pioneer in New York...I take it you're going to refuse to give me that information?"
Me---"What is this about?  Who are you... I'm not going to give you any information until you tell me what this is about!"
Caller---HANGS UP!!

Called my mothers house asking for me. When she said I wasn't there he hung up. Paid for a reverse lookup and it comes up as PCR. waste of $5.

whoever this is calls myhouse constantly everyday at 8am and 5 or 6 more times until 9pm . they leave no message and hang up

This company is Pioneer Credit Recovery.  Their name says it all, they are bill collector's.  I talked to Cory.  He was very pleasant and said they would remove my phone number from their files.  We'll see.
