I spoke with an agent in Secret Service and he advised to report each number to IC3.gov as this will give them the best ability to compile a list of numbers.

Here's what I do. These telemarketers have two sections. Section 1 calls to sell you products for numerous companies. Section 2. usually a computer calls only to verify that your line is a good active number. The good numbers are then bundled and sold  to telemarketing companies on a daily basis. The numbers they use are computer generated and they can change the prefix and number when they want. Since they won't go away I do the following. I have an mp3 file on my desk top which sends a high pitched noise into the speaking end of my phone. They are wearing headphones and normally don't have access to a hand set so there they sit and I give them the "Blast" every time they call. Then if I have time I take all the collected numbers and spend an hour making the legal number of calls to each one "Blasting " them every time they answer the phone. So far 98% never call me a third time.

I think the correct agency to contact is the FCC...Federal Communication Commission..they are in charge of the DNC list. Another source to notify is your own State Attorney General office. They are the ones who can file for the DNC fines.

a few months ago I kept receiving calls from various numbers and always it was a middle eastern man or woman would come on the line and asked for me.  When I identified myself I would be told that they wanted to discuss with me my recent vaginal mesh surgery.  When I said I didn't have any such surgery, they would then aked if I had had a bladder sling surgery.  I usually hung up by this time.  However, during one such call, when I said I hadn't had any surgeries in the last 20 years, I was asked "are you sure?"  The audacity shocked me, but it also made me laugh.  I asked him to remove my number and to not call again.  He hung up on me.  I have had some relative peace from such calls until this afternoon.  I told them they had the wrong number and hung up.

If you've got a landline, then there is at least one call-blocking device that enables you to block *all* numbers and then enter the numbers of only those people you want to call you.  That worked for me.

Received 2 calls to my cell phone from this same number today.  I didn't answer either call.

wow looks like this guy is back at again. I did good for about a week with no calls from him. This indian guy calls from MANY different numbers with some type of scam; medical, pharmacy, loans, etc. Block the number folks! Dont answer either, if you pick up he know he can keep calling. In the past i use to answer and ask to be taken off their list, it just made the calls increase.

My landline is on the do not call list so now I get these on my PREPAY cell phone. Caller ID shows unknown so I don't pick up and they don't leave a message. With a prepay cell phone, I NEVER pick up unless I recognize the number. If it's a legitimate call, they'll leave a message. Otherwise, I simply hope they get tired of no answer

A man (with an accent) called on Monday at 6:50am and then again today (9:00am).  Both times he said he was from Medical Compensation.  (He also mispronounced my name). He asked if I had had a surgery in the past.  
Monday I told him he was calling before 7am and hung up.  Today I asked where he found my name.   He said it was from "state of California medical records".  FYI, California does not keep records like that.  I said I was not going to discuss my health with a stranger over the phone and to remove my number from the list.  

I got a Teaneck number.  Threw me for a minute.  I've got family in NY.

I agree.  I've been getting these calls for about as long as well.  Most times I don't answer and add to my blocked list.  They started out in Jacksonville FL, moved to TX, OK, and tonight it showed up as Teaneck NJ.  Usually call at an ungodly hour (I'm on the West Coast).  On occasion I do answer the calls, and play along to keep them from calling others even for a short time.  I've been told they're with the US Medical Department , and I respond there is no such department...play their game, waste their time and money.  Since I've blocked numbers the calls have decreased in frequency.  This was the first one I'd had in a few months.  Prior to that it was several times a day.

The calls are fraudulent, and often times abusive and harassing in nature.  I had one of these callers call my cellphone repeatedly for over two hours saying vile, vulgar things.  I blocked the number and they called back repeatedly on different numbers just to get through.  The upside it was two hours they didn't spend calling others who might not have known this is a scam.  And no, I don't typically answer a number I don't recognize, but I had just gotten a new phone and many of my contacts had been lost, so for a few days I did have to answer calls blindly.  Look, We realize this site cannot stop the calls, but we do have a right to vent our frustrations.  It's not necessary for you to chastise someone for that.

Sounded like an indian accent.  Said i was able to get money fro a blatter sugery or a mesh implant surgery. asked how he got my number?  said "i have everyone's number" Told him to loose my number!!!

This morning an Indian woman called and asked to speak to me, "Billy", after hesitating for about 30 seconds. It sounded as though she was in a very large crowd, like in an airport, then hung up on me. When I tried to call back, I got no answer. So, I Googled this site.

Thank you, I have blocked this number as I have received at least 6 calls this week.  I don't answer calls I don't know, but is still annoying to keep receiving them.
