I also received this text and how she wanted to communicate via e-mail. Number she used was 2405427427. Fortunately, I have a friend in the banking fraud industry who gave me the heads up!

Just received the same text from a Debbie Bouffard. I always get leery when someone from way outside my area starts asking to buy products from me. I usually ignore them but see what I can find online about them anyway. Thanks for the information.

Got a three page text just like the ones everyone else is describing except the scam artist is now using the name Debbie Bouffard. "She" also talks about wanting product for her daughter's birthday, and I believe this is the second time I've been contacted by this number. DO NOT SEND PRODUCTS TO THIS PERSON!

I received an email, no text message. But it was the same type of thing. She wants to order products and have them shipped to her daughter in Colorado. Also says she is hearing impaired, and her email was worded funny. She says she has no credit card, but has a financial clerk--yeah right! The name was Debbie Bouffard and it was a gmail address. SCAM!!!!

She is now using the name Debbie Bouffard with an email address from outlook.com. Starts with the text wanting product for her daughters birthday and wants contacted by email only

I also received the same text message from Debora Adams on Sept 23. Although I thought it was odd, I responded to her by email. She told me the same story as everyone else with a list of MK products she wanted. Her email was poorly worded and she wanted my full name, address and phone number. That's when I started looking online and found all of your replies. Thank you for posting your replies. My suspicions have been confirmed.

I too got a text message from 201-877-1975 on Sept 23...same daughter's birthday stuff...and email to contact her...I sent a text back saying call to speak to me...or, order and pay online. I hope I don't get charged extra to respond to "her" text...her name was "Deborah Adams"...

Just got this text too and found it suspicious so googled the email address provided, which landed me here. Really worries me that a lot of women will fall for this. I see people that I consider intelligent sharing the most absurd things on facebook all the time, and realize that few people research things before responding.

I also just got this text today!!!

WOW...I too received the same message from this person! I originally rec'd a text to my phone on 8/16 stating she found my phone number on the Mary Kay website...I immediately found it "suspicious" that she had a NJ cell phone and was requesting products be sent to her daughter in CO - why wouldn't she contact a consultant in CO? Text said she was hearing impaired w/no credit card, financial advisor would sent payment prior to products being sent, etc...I responded via email, as she requested...then came email that her daughter was in auto accident and financial advisor sent ME a check for $1,950.50 "by mistake" (hmmm...how convenient) - text tonight stated: "I appreciate if you can have the check cashed and deduct the amount for the order and send the rest of money to the doctor please" (per email for medication and bills)...I replied via text that "I am sorry to hear of your daughter's accident and hope she is alright. I will be happy to forward check to you and you may submit correct amount for your order of $276.50" - I then (via text) asked for HER mailing information to send check to and the response was "I will email you okay"...haven't heard anything since!!!
I can only PRAY that our consultants will not get scammed by this person and will go on their "gut instinct" that something is very wrong with this request...and I will be contacting corporate tomorrow to see if they able to post some kind of "warning" on our website to help avoid any loss because of these scammers!!! Thank you to all who posted here...

Then all of the sudden her daughter is in a car accident. Debra Adams said her broker sent to much money and to sent her the different to her doctors ?? Hope this was helpfull and it is a big SCAM.

I received a text from this number (susanalankford@yahoo.com) just after I was spammed from another number/text (1-201-877-1975, debraadams@yahoo.com). Both claim to have found me thru my Mary Kay website, however neither respond to reply texts, nor requests to properly register on my MK website to order products. The messages are badly worded, and I would advise anyone in communication with these folks to NOT send product NOR handle any money requests from them as they appear to be FRAUDULENT!! There is another site for debraadams and numerous people have received the same request to send product and help.

Just got the same message ladies, but knew from past experience NOT to respond. I literally went as far as to receive a 1600.00 check from these people off the University of Chicago with the sad story that she was getting a settlement check from them and just had it sent to me instead of her. Wanted me to deposit into my account and then send a cashiers check minus what she owed me to an address in Georgia. I contacted the police department in Chicago and they were perfectly aware of what was going on. These people have become very clever and have started targeting personal businesses to get their money from us! Then they had the audacity to call me the dishonest person after I told them shame on them! First google search said the number was out of NY state.

I just got a text message from this number as well. This is not the first one I have gotten. The other one was from a different number. Both times the English used was horrible and from no one anybody knew. I agree that this is a total scam and from the looks of it, becoming a problem. Ladies, lets put the word out so the rest of the Mary Kay family is aware.

I got a spam message from this number. It was not worded correctly and I have never given this person my number or heard of them. They are not from my area and none of my clients know this person so she wasnt a referral. NO clue who she is. I have a detective in the family and he is going to work on locating this person.
