they have called me three times this morning, everytime i answer and get no response. so this last time i answered and yelled "STOP CALLING MEEE!" but i dont think it will work.

I received 9 calls from this number on Saturday.  No message-just continues calls.

I've recieved many calls from this number over the past couple of weeks. When I answer, there is no-one there, but when they leave a voice mail I can hear background conversation and on one occasion a foreign accented male voice saying, "Hello?, Hello?"

The last time I answered one of these calls, I said to a supposedly empty line, "Stop calling this number!! If I find out who this is, I'm going to sue your a.. off!"

This was Saturday, and I've recieved no more calls for three days now.

I would also suggest filing a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry if you're a member.

following up on my post.... the one about being inconveniently interrupted during sex by these calls... Well i haven't recieved any more calls from them in a few weeks... this is what i did.... after finally getting an answer from these people when they call they tried to pitch their e-cigarette... which i already have. I then proceeded to raise my voice and say as follows... and i quote... "You people are pretty f***ing retarded arent you? you think trying to scam a computer hacker is a game? I have traced your phone number to your address in New Jersey... If you call me again, I will personally go there, find you and rip out your gasteral intestinal tract, use it as a condom while i fornicate with your skull.." He then replied "your going to what?" and i yelled "IM GOING TO SKULL F*** YOU!!!" then i hung up

Call the number back and press 2.  They will add your number from their caller ID to the do not call list.  It takes 24-72 hours though.  Hope this helps.  I was on vacation and had 136 missed calls from this number over 5 days.

They call many times a day.  They got the # from a faux craiglist ad for a focus group.  The cigarette co is listed in other emails here.  Nobody was answering me when I answered...I hit the 0 and an operator came on from INDIA.  I asked NOT to be called. He said they would put me on the do not call list.  He said it like an asian robot.   If they call again..I will ask for a supervisor and go from there.  I hate them.  they call at 8:45 am til 9:08 pm.  no damn voice.  you have to think yourself to hit a zero!  Hit that zero and tell the foreign ooperator to NOT call you.

I filled out a Form from a would be focus group via craiglist. Upon completion I was directed to the aformrntioned site. This "focus group" wrote that in order to participate I would have to order the product. I clicked out. I did not give any info to the electric cigarette co., as any legit market research co. does not require any purchase before hand. The phone# was obtained by the craiglist questionnaire. I'll check my out box and see who posted this fraud...stay tuned....

this number has called me 15 times a day!!!

It is 2:45pm and since 8:00am yesterday I have received 25 calls from this number. I don't normally answer calls from numbers I'm not familiar with and they don't leave a message on the machine...While I'm writing this, I get another call from this number and I answered this time. The call is from "Smart Smoker" and the agent was David Summers. The phone number was stolen from a company that deals in phone cards (RNK Telecom 1.877.323.2486) and their legal department is looking into it. I also filed a complaint with the FCC (1.888.225.5322) I'm on the Do Not Call list, but I plan on calling again, just to be sure!

They have also called me 5x today. I get the same thing everyone else does when I call back. I live in southern NJ

I am reporting the number to the FCC and also the FBI internet crime hotline.

I just recieved a call from 201-977-1457. Didn't answer the first time but they called back a second time less than an hour later. I answered and she asked for my husband, something about an electric cigarette. I told her my husband was not home and I don't smoke but she kept persisting. She informed me that she attained this information from internet. Just goes to show you what people can find out about you from your computer.

i have already summit my info, but back out after i see the 99 bucks charge after a week.

One other thing.. I decided to research a bit more about that website (getsmartsmoker.com). So back to my original postings, when I asked the guy (indian or something) where his office was located (testing him as I knew that 201 area code was Jersey) he said the main office is located here in Richmond VA (i live in VA and Richmond area code is 804), but the office where he was calling from is in Jersey which is a 201 area code. sooo, I went to the website again and clicked on the contact us link this is what is read:

BECAREFUL WITH WEBSITES! I suspect that this is a site is a scammer site, wanting credit card information. When i initially did my research for the best and reputable e-cigarette company, this site came up.  Free trial, sure. however my instincts told me not to submit my info after i entered everything. well, apparently is saves it anyway once you type the info because I never submitted it and they have all my information except my credit card - THANK GOD!!! I am not even sure they are a legit site now. I am truly feeling that they are credit card scammers.

I also posted under luvlytrinity as well. I wanted to follow up from my original posting and forgot I did so under the luvly user name.

This number continues to call me every 15 mins.  They even call early in the morning! And they do not leave a message.  When you call back its a recording. Is there a way to make it stop??

after sharing the same frustrating and annoying experience with this scamming group i realized where this came from..i signed off for what i thought was a focus group about cigarettes but was redirected to buy a new type of cigarette to help stop smoking..i knew something was wrong..i shut it down..but they had my number already...now i received 9 calls in one day and counting..same thing..no one is there...i pressed the prompt to remove me but it still happened..i thought it was over today and they called again, I PRESSED ZERO "0" and it directed me to the telemarketing center in India for these cigarettes to buy! I asked for a supervisor and told her my story...she removed me from the list..it hasn't happened again...when i find the link for the cigarette company i will give it to you to screw over the real scammers...they should die!

I have gotten at least 5 calls today from this # they never leave a message and can not get threw when I try to call it back who is this anyone know

i know i wrote before but now i am getting at least 7-9 calls a day and they call at all hours. i was walking home last night and got a call at 2:00 IN THE MORNING then when i woke up, i had 4 missed calls and the earliest starting at 7:52AM. I have to sleep with my phone on silent because it has become such a pain in the bum. the thing i don't understand is my phone has been registered with the don't not call list for forever and i went to check, and i am still registered. this is inconvenient and i am soooo sick of being harassed (if y'all didn't notice, that IS what is going on here) that I almost want to change my number...almost.

ya know, picking up the phone and cussing them out doesn't work either! do they not understand?!

Level 3 communications was very helpful and courteous.
I explained the situation and the research I'd found and the nice lady offered to walk the information to the fraud department.

As soon as I got off the phone with them the scammers called back again.
Keeping an eye on CC activity and will be calling Level 3 back if the number isn't disconnected within the next few days.

Have received four hang up calls from this number to my cell phone.  Have no idea who this is or why they keep calling and hanging up on everyone.

i got couple call from this number.  I picked up and say hello, the call dropped

this woman "Mercedes" (she says that is her name) has been calling me offering me a job in my hometown since i graduated high school in may. she knew my name and knew what high school i went to and said somebody referred me to her program. back then, i googled the number and she was on some sketchy facebook wanna be site. she keeps calling me and my best friend told her off one night. she just called me 10 minutes ago, and just beeped in and i am sure there will be more to come. this is creepy, especially because she knew what school i went to and my name and then my number. i dont put my self out like that and i am very careful about giving my number. this needs to stop, it is so sketchy and i feel like i am being harassed like all of you are.

the number was 201=977-1457 aka NEW JERSEY. i am NOT located in jersey at all. this NEEDS to stop, i am so sketched out.

No one leaves a message no one there when answered

I received 5 calls from this number today!  I've very sketched.

Well I think it is call 5 or 6 so far today.  Same thing as the rest of you - noone there if I pick up.  If I call back 2 options go to a customer service rep but then they are too busy to come to phone.  I forget the other option.  No msg ever left.  

So let's figure this out - my area code is 613 - any of you guys/gals in that area code?  Or is this a completely random thing.   This is my first day receiving calls.  Has anyone received calls on different days?
