The Do Not Call list is just a system set up by the FCC to prevent unwanted telemarketer calls. (http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/do-not-call-list)  Having your number on this list doesn't protect you from prank calls, scammers, those exempt from the Do Not Call list, etc.

Microsoft - Never leaves a message

This number called me every day this week. I finally answered out of curiosity. Same song and dance and other people on here reported - "my Windows based computer is sending out error messages and causing some sort of problems". He gave me some kind of Customer License Numeber supposedly linked to my computer to prove that he knew where the messages were coming from. I told him I didn't have my computer with me after he asked me to log in a few times. He eventually hung up.

Well "Alan" called my phone tonight from 202-202-1234 and was very upset with me when I started laughing at him when he told me his name, this do to the fact that he could barley say it. I asked him what I could do for him and he was pissed and after I told him not to call my phone back he told me he would call me all the time since he was my wife's boy friend. It was at this time I yelled to my wife asking her is she was screwing around on me with some f&@k tard by the name of Alan but sounded Arabic. It was at this time he hung up on me......

Yeah I got the same called.  I asked him who he was representing, he said Microsoft.  I said, "Are you sure about that?"  He said "yes just trying to help with the viruses on my computer".  I told him, "how very odd because I work at Microsoft and that is where he called.  Don't you think if I had viruses or my computer had viruses that tech support two doors down from me would have told me?"... and what I got was "click".... i asked hello, hello are you there.....LMAO  I don't work for Microsoft but it was fun to scare the crap out of him!

I received and ignored several calls from this number but today decided to answer and follow along with the scam.  The caller said his name was Chris and had a thick Indian accent.  He told me something about my windows computer sending a large number of errors to some server and that he could help me.  I followed along and through eventually he directed me to www.ammyy.com where he wanted me to click on a link pointing to: AA_v3.exe which I did not click.  I did, however, tell him that I did clicked on the link but that it must have been too late because my computer was going crazy, flashing windows, blue screens with letters and numbers flashing by.  In as desperate a voice as possible I asked him what I should do now and he just hung up.

This guy called me 3 times yesterday, I did not answer. Finally answered today and stayed on the line with him for about 4 minutes, knowing from the beginning it was a scam and asked him to continuously repeat the letters he needed me to enter into the run box. Finally I told him I had no computer and he hung up on me. Honestly, I hope he calls me back because I have about 10 ideas of how to troll him next.

His first call to me also came while waiting for a prognosis of my hospitalized friend, yesterday. Weird...

I have been receiving calls 1-2 times per day on my cell phone from this number. The person does not speak English therefore I hang up on him after asking him every time to take my number off his list.

I'd report it to the police.

This number has been calling me every single day and I'm so annoyed that I will be going to the police.

Got a call from this number today, said he was from Microsoft I asked why he was calling me and he said it was about my computer and I said that it wasn't and hung up. Clearly a scam artist wannabe.

This phone number keeps calling me and using profound language when I ask to be taken off their list and speak with a manager.

They were calling me incessantly on my mobile, while I was home and at work.  I googled the phone number and realized it was a scam from the below posts (somebody apparently saying they are from MS trying to hack your computer).  I picked up the last call and said, "I looked up this number and know that this is a scam," immediately.  They hung up and have not called me back.

This guy actually had my Microsoft serial number, which makes it even scarier. With this, I almost believed him, but thought twice and once I started to protest a second time about scams he hung up. They must have a list of recently purchased computers running Microsoft.

I am continuously receiving calls from 2022021234 that I have been ignoring, since I did not recognize that number; so today I finally picked up the call and the caller tells me that he is calling on behalf of Microsoft and that I have an error that needs to be fixed on my computer and wanted me to log on so that he can prevent my computer from crashing; when I asked him his website address he hung up. How do I stop this phone harassment?

I continue to receive calls from "Jack" asking me to turn on my computer because it is about to crash....I asked him how he would know this and he said he was calling from Microsoft....this has been going on for months.  I am tired of receiving these calls since clearly they are trying to hack my pc.....how can these guys be stoppped?

as a final insult to my intelligence, Jack told me he could not help me if I did not turn on my computer - i told him I didnt need or ask for his help.....he told me my pc would CRASH......thanks for the heads up jack---.......

PLEASE SOMEONE STOP THESE MORONS - some unsuspecting teenager is going to listen to them and wind up having their system hacked!!!!

I have one good thing to say about these calls. They don't give up. That's it. The rest of my opinion of these folks is not very lady like so I won't put it on here . I'm tired of being awakened during the day since I work nights. I need to leave the phone on in case my husband calls me from work.I wish I had caller reject on my line.

Have called at least 3-5 times a week.  I don't answer the phone.  They keep changing up their number but since I don't know anyone out of  town, I just let my phone ring and they eventually hang up.  Getting to be real annoying.   How come the DO NOT CALL protection isn't working!

Indian accent told me my computer was getting infected. Asked if he could fix it...I hung up.

If you have an iphone add this number as a contact and then go look at it. At the bottom of the contact info is a button that says block caller. This is what I did.

This number has called my cell phone 13 times in the last 24 hours.  I finally blocked the number, after reading the posts, and now I'm getting dozens of calls from 'no caller ID,' which I'm guessing are the same folks.  Not answering.

This number has called my cell phone 13 times in the last 24 hours!  I don't answer calls from numbers I don't know, and now there are six calls with no called ID displayed.  After reading these comments, I've blocked the number, but that won't stop the no caller ID calls.  But, I won't be answering them anyway.

Been getting the same calls and they said my computer has been getting errors and wanted me to enter all kinds of things on my computer.

I got a call from this number, they told me that my computer is sending Errors to Microsoft and they needed me to give a credit card so that they can fix it. I did not tell him that I am an IT guy and I tell them to go f*** themselves the guy said back f*** you f*** you f*** you.... there a bunch of scams looks like They 're calling from India.
