Got the same call, but he left the msg on voice mail. The accent sounds like from africa, not an indian accent.
Beware, IRS doesn't contact you by phone. Also, its agents don't speak with such weird accent either.
Totally a scam!

Received a phone call from a phony sounding IRS agent on my answering machine.

Got a message ( the same scenario as indicated above) on my answering machine to call the IRS at 202 204-0480. Beware scam. Thanks guys for the warning!

I got the same call. He was pretty rude too...same as other people here, he had an Indian accent with lots of background noise.

Got the same call from 202-204-0480 the scam call center in Asia. Caller claimed to be IRS officer talking in Indian accent and surrounding atmosphere was like a fish market.
Why don't they get caught ? Is there a way to trace them from where they are calling.

Got strange call from this number and here with his Indian accent guy claimed to be IRS officer calling from Washington DC wanted to issue arrest warrant if I do not pay taxes over phone. There was lot of noise in the background looks like scam call center in India or Pakistan I dropped the call, Please be careful if you get a call from this number.
