This person "John Smith" from Washington, DC told me I had been chosen to receive a free grant of $7000 + from the US Government for a security deposit of $350.00.  He and then a different person called 8 times.  They both had very obvious foreign accents.  When I refused to give them my account information, and hung up, they continued to call back.  My husband answered twice and told them not to call back.  They then called a left a very vulgar message on my voice mail, and called 2 more times not leaving messages.  Very persistant and kind of scary.  I called the number back and it was a machine telling me to leave a message.
