Well indian descent iranian adam has sent this bs so many times. He cant get my social because I have fraud alert on mine I replied and told him I was reporting him. Whenever we apply for things online our information is sold and where its sold to there are scammers waiting for the list of names such as adam.

Got the same exact email but the attorney is "Senior Attorney John Hudson" from Winstead Law Associates. Other than that the letter and amounts are identical. They have my full social, address, and old phone number. I too was monitored online doing fraud ........ Scared me to death though. Ive had to get payday loans before, but never heard of America Cash Advance. Is this definitely a scam? I tried to ifferoffer them $50.00 payments it scared me so bad and they refused anything less than $100.00. Then he hung up when I asked John his real name. I am still freaked out.

Yeah, I got the same email - and they have my SSN as well.... I haven't taken any online transfers, so I'm pretty sure this is a scam.

I got the same message WORD PER WORD today and was having a heart attack about it. I filed a complaint online with the FBI's website and apparently this a a huge scam. Most victims are people who have received or have filled out applications online for short term loans, that is how they get all there information especially since most short term lenders website share info to each other. I also called my local law enforcement and they informed me that they have received complaints like this from this exact person or peoples and it is no way legal.

I got this Friday but just now checked it and it stated in two days I would be prosecuted for check fraud. I went to a check cashing place when I had a job and was paying every 2 weeks but then Iost my job and haven't been able to pay. I moved home and changed my number to a local number so they said they haven't reached me. I'm so confused. Is this legit? The thing that is throwing me off is an attorney having a gmail account and not a professional one. Someone please ease my stress and tell me that I am not going to jail tomm!

Hey i was wondering the same thing , i received the same type of email 4 days ago saying that my social sec.number was used to defraud a bank and that i was going to be prosecuted , it is a scam!!!
Connie 2014-04-21 17:44:17 Unknown
It is a scam the best thing to do is contact the police they are committing a crime and tell them that you have advised to tell them to never contact you again or they will be prosecuted. I got the same exact thing
Julie 2014-04-21 17:18:56 Unknown
I got the same email today with my ssn except missing one number. I have read a previous comment to file a complaint at www.IC3.gov. So I am filling that out as a write this. I will probably also call our local police department as well.
My email was from Senior Attorney Adam Thomas from Holland and Hart Associates. It definitely seems to be a scam.

This is a scam and I have been dealing with it for 5 years. The great thing is now I have an email threat that I can actually pursue legal action against these scum bags.

I received the same exact email today... i have looked up the phone number and it is a scam as most of you have already figured out. A few years ago another did this to me by phone and i actually called the attorney general...got good info from said person and in turn passed it on to the caller the next time they called. They had not bothered me since. Now i believe this is a different outfit so i will contact the attorney general again and get the info i need to tell them. I unfortunately attempted to get a payday loan about a month ago because i was layed up with foot surgery and was desperate. The loan never went through. Even did not give them an pertinent info so i do not know how they got my SSN# or phone number.

They did the samething to me. WHO IS PROTECTING US. WE ARE AMERICAN'S WHERE ARE OUR RIGHTS AGAINST THIS KIND OF PEOPLE.
Kim 2014-04-17 00:05:03 Unknown
I got the same strange email. What's odd is that Adam Smith from Holland And Hart's Georgia office sent me the exact same email that Adam Thomas sent from the DC location. This must be some large corporate law firm with no physical adress, land line, nor attorney's that use proper English and misspell words. Lol! Who would believe this is legit? I sent an email back stating that I was more than happy to pay, I just needed details of the loan, and a physical adress to overnight my payment. I received an email back that said, please call us so we can discuss. It's obvious they have no real debt if they can't send anything verifiable , and they have no address for me to mail my payment to.

I RECIEVED TWO TIMES THIS E MAIL FROM THE ATTORNEY ADAN THOMAS ASKING ME TO CALL TOO TO THIS NUMBER BECOUSE I HAD A CRIMINAL FEDERAL COURT CASE PENDING.
Andrea 2014-04-09 18:35:09 Unknown
Nope, it's a scam don't worry. They have all my information but I know for a fact it's a scam (had it before). Anytime you do something online especially payday loans these crooks try you, if you're not aware it would seem real. Next time evaluate the email word from word, second if they talk foreign but have an American name well that's a dead give away. My email came from Attorney General 16, ha ha, I thought that was funny. Second it said I will be prosecuted in court in a couple of days, I don't know about your state but since they had all my information why wasn't I served papers or arrested already. Third, he has a so call file number, so did you file in court or not Mr. Adam Palmer? Lastly, he said I need to contact him because he can help. Shouldn't he be telling me to contact an attorney, if he's prosecuting me why do I need his help, I'm guessing for a price we can settle out of court. So you know what I do, I calls them and I cuss them out letting them know I know it's a scam. Oh and by the way sometimes you get a voicemail when you call during business hours, what office you know does that. SCAM! Don't worry, if you get another one play alone and then cuss them out...
