Got a call from someone claiming to be from the DEA, said that several years ago I purchased perscription drugs over the internet (untrue) and did I have a lawyer.    I said none of your business.   He started yelling and I hung up.   He called back and said that unless I hire one of their lawyers for $5000 (wired to the Dominican Republic today) they would send law enforcement to my home.  I said please send them and hung up.  They called back many times.  I had alot of fund with these losers......     Call again

PS: DEA agents don't use trackphones or call from the DR

Agent Nick called me yesterday - I can't tell if they are Asian or Indian but it's almost comical to listen to them. I knew it was a scam and played along. Then he transferred me to his "sergeant." Another guy comes on and asks me who he is speaking to. I said, "you called me .. don't you know who you are trying to scam?" Immediate hang up on the other end. But, they've tried me again twice today. What a bunch of yahoos. Too bad some people fall for it.

I got calls from "Agent Bellamy" in Newport, Wash., at 509 671 9057. He referred me to talk to a guy he said was "Jeffrey Campbell," a supposed assistant district attorney in Washington, D.C. at 800.844.9764. That line was answered "Department of Justice."

When I called the 800 line back -- after a long, intimidating conversation with "Jeffrey Campbell," who repeatedly called me "darling" and read off my address multiple times -- and asked for real people I know at the Justice Department -- I was told those people were all unavailable, and the whole office of public affairs was in a meeting.

There were demands for Western Union payments to the Dominican Republic (to ward off extradition and charges there); protests when I said, gosh, I should get a lawyer; and threats that marshals would be at my door momentarily to serve an arrest warrant.

I've had intimidating calls from these people from years, but this one actually had me rattled. They always sound like fast-talking guys (as in Northeasteners) with Spanish accents. I hope this info helps someone else.

I received a call from a DEA agent from Port Chester, NY. She to me her name, which was a LT >>>>>>, and told me they had a package that I had ordered some time ago, anf I needed to call them back because said they have a warrant to search my home, for my arrest.  She left the number for the office and her extention.  I checked this number and is for the DEA office in NY, but I do not even live in that state and I have not purchased anything from anyone online, except for once and found out it could be illegal.  I cancelled the order and my bank account.

What do you suggest, I am scared to death and do not know rather to call this LT. back or disregard.

Folks, anytime you get one of these calls, ignore them or blast them with an air horn.  The numbers you are seeing are magic jacked, and made to look like they are coming from Washington
DC.  This is a long running scam and widespread -- there is nothing they can do to you -- the authorities are aware and tracking them down...these criminal rings start in the dominican republic and costa rica, but are not limited to those areas -- if anyone asks you for money, it's always a scam.  If you don't know who it is on the caller id, don't answer.  If these idiots are stupid enough to leave messages, let them -- it can and will be used against them -- it is a criminal offense, a felony, to represent oneself as a federal officer or agent.

I received a phone call before 8 am with the message that he had a warrent for propterty search and an arrest and 3 years of federal prison time, so I should better call him back immediately. His name was Tony Angeles. I called the number what the heck this was about and again he made a bunch of threats. I called back again asked for "Tony's" supervisor to verify the call and launch a complaint, but he said  Tony had stepped out. I repeated "I did not ask for Tony but for his Supervisor" he kept asking what is your complaint? I kept asking for a supervisor. He finally said there is not supervisor, that Tony was the agent in charge of that DEA department there. BTW, the person (when I would call back to get a "supervisor" the person I spoke with identified himself then as Brian, but you can hear easily that it is the same person). The phone number he called me from is 202-241-2908. I called the local Police department to report the threat, they called the number I gave them , the police officer also called the DEA and said they are aware of the scam and there is no such thing anybody in their dept. would do. The officer said he also spoke to the District attorney's office and they would continue with the FBI. He thanked me for calling him as this would aid them in their (ongoing) inversitgation.

I only wanted to share how f*****g stupid my friend (ex-friend) is.
He also got the same call and the "DEA Agent" asked him if he knew any friends that had ordered medication on line he gave him my name.  I will admit to ordering medication about 10 years ago...yes 10 years ago, these guys don't forget.
The DEA Agent told him that if he didn't pay the fine for me he would be charged with a felony.
Instead of my idiotic, moronic and stupidest human being on earth calling me he called the local police department and gave them my name and asked what he should do because he didn't want to get into trouble.  NO he didn't call and ask me first because the "DEA Agent" said not to inform me of this call.
Then a real live local police drug enforcement agent called me and told me that my idiot ex-buddy had reported and want to investigate ME!!
After meeting with the local police drug enforment agent I finally discovered why I was being interigated.
Wanted to pass along 2 pieces of advice:
1.  Inform you of their new technique.
2.  Make sure you idiotic friend know this and if you have a friend that will do this they are NOT your friend!!!
*Sorry, this was my first time posting and not sure I did it correctly the first time. Thought it was important enough to try it again.  Forgive my poor grammer.

I received a call from a DEA agent named Thomas Harrington in California phone number 415-692-2884 who stated he was investigating my purchase of online drugs from the Domican Republic and that he had a warrant for my arrest. He had and accent and it was difficult to understand what he was saying. I told him I never bought drugs on-line from any pharmacy outside the US. He said it did matter and that I could explain it to a Judge in California and the police will be knocking on my door in 13 minutes to arrest me and that I face jail time of 94 months in a Federal penitentary. He asked me to write down the case number which is 846/13493867/CPLK89.

He went on to say that I could resolve this issue by paying online using my debit card in an amount of $3500.00 but he would first need approval from Judge Lawrence O"Neil. He made believe that he put me on hold. When I said I wouldn't give my debit card number over the phone he said I could go to my local DEA office in Savannah locate at 415 W, Brougham St. 31401. He wanted to know if that was convenient.

He had know idea where I lived because Savannah is 200 miles from my home in Norcross, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, GA. I told him to that I was not going to Savannah and to send the police.

I received a call this morning from someone with a very thick accent (202-241-7907).  He told me he was with the DEA and was working on an investigation dealing with the online pharmacies and wanted to ask me some questions.  I said ok, but I don't know what you're talking about.  He asked me if I knew buying prescriptions online was illegal....I said..uh.. No, but since I didn't buy them online it didn't matter.  He then sped up his talking and said well ...he had a warrant for my arrest and I could spend 2 or 3 nights in jail...and then turned up the scanner/radio that was going in the background and yelled at another guy(I didn't get the name) and said something like go ahead and get her. And then he hung up.

He never mentioned money and hasn't called back.  I figure that either he realized that he wasn't going to get anything from me because I sounded clueless or he was setting me up to call me back.  I was confused and a little concerned.  I'm glad that I found this website.

These guys are completely ridiculous haha!! These guys were a little scary. At first, they'll use a halfway average strategy of attempting to intimidate you by stating that you'll need to make a court appearance and they have a search warrant and blah blah blah. Well, after they have ya freaked out they'll play good guy and tell you that they will do what they can to drop "charges" as long as a fine is payed. Then it gets silly and they request that you wire funds from some odd liquor store haha!! It's hilarious thinking about it after it happened to me :)

I had the same calls today.  Just ask them questions and the person will get upset and end the call.  My guys was calling from the "FDA Criminal Department".  I have a few numbers 757-447-4854, 410-929-7743 and 410-439-7203.  I Googled these numbers and they are all a Verizon number in Maryland.  I would assume the FDA uses a land line.  My guy was John Sponks or something like that. It ruined my day.  Don't let these fools do the same to you!

I got the same call...took up a lot of time, guy calling me every couple of minutes, I finally told him to go ahead and have me arrested.  He called back yelling that he would see me in jail by 11...then called again and said by the end of the week...but by then I was just listening to the voice mail and not picking up the phone.  Once as James Allen, once as Michael Hagg.  Who pretty much gave himself away when he stumbled over the spelling of his own name.  First names... almost everybody can spell their own....
It did give me quite a scare, with the talk of sending me to Dominican Republic, and all that.  Good grief!

Nope, he is still using it...got my Nick Delgado call today from 509-671-9681. He said that they had shut down an illegal pharmacy in the Dominican Republic and my name was on the Black Market list as having ordered illegal drugs from this pharmacy. He said they had done a background check on me and since I had never been charged in Federal court and did not have a record that he was calling me to warn me that DEA agents were on their way to my house with a search warrant to arrest me and take me into custody. The address he had for me was an old address and I did not tell him the new one. He said that I would need to hire a federal attorney. Before he could ask for money I hung up on him. He did not call back, but another number called (646-340-2339) which I did not answer. I called the 646 number back and the voice sounded like "Nick" on the phone. This has been going on for a year now...how can they not get these scam artists?

Oh yes, thank you all so much for all your stories of revenge. Also, after reading that someone else was traveling too and got the call, saying they almost had a bowel movement on the spot, (hey, did you want me to curse?) the laughing almost made it worth it. I said 'almost'. It ate away at me for an hour in the car. I'm am really happy and really mad. Need to think of my own creative defensive/offensive strategy to employee.

They also call trying to sell drugs. I guess if they get you to buy the drugs then they can get your money that way & then not send the drugs, but call back & run the Nick Delgado scam. I am supposed to call them back now, negotiated a price with them, have them thinking I will order. They want me to go to "RedDot" at WalMart to pay. I guess it must be a money wiring service. I'm thinking I'll drag it out as long as I can & then tell them that I am Lt Nicki Delgado with the DEA & unless they wire me $ so i can convince the judge they're under arrest, blah, blah, blah...
They (or a company like them) "got me" & had me crying, terrified, etc about a year or so ago...payback is a bi***. I tried to report them, but the FBI & DEA said there was nothing they could do unless I had sent them money. They did say they were working on the case though. Must be real high priority since they so quickly caught them LOL

I got a call from Nick Delgado saying he was from the DEA. I called the real DEA in Washington and they told me about the scam. When "Nick" called back, I told him he was full of it and I wanted to speak to his manager since he was at "headquarters". I could here him dial a long number then the person that answered the phone identified himself as Nick Delgado! At that point, I was laughing pretty hard at them and it did not take them long to hang up on me.

I got the "call" today! What an a***ole. Why is this guy still doing this to people? He called me from (202)241-9282. He must be changing his # periodically. Ive never been in trouble with the law so it took me a few to figure out this was a scam. I entered his name in google and all of these comments started coming up. WOW!!!!!  Cant wait till that Little P***s gets put in jail where he belongs!!!!!!!!!!! His gangster slang totally gave it away. And, the fact that he told me not to tell my husband because "my case" was confidential kinda gave it away too. What a piece of s***.
