I made the mistake of picking up this call because we have alot of business connections in DC area and I don't remember all of the numbers off the top of my head.  He said his name was "John" in a heavy east indian accent and that he was with the IRS tax investigations unit and he needed to speak to my son ( and used son's full name).  A little demon took over and I said, "Stop calling us with your scam.  Your number is all over the internet as a scam.  How flipping stupid do you think I am?" and hung up.  I reported the number to the ftc, called the irs.  Probably is a fake number anyway.

Do not answer and pay attention to this clown. Called us very early in the morning, claiming he was from the IRS and yes very strong Indian or Asian Accent. Hang up and report incident to authorities.

I just received a call from this number, saying it is tax crime investigation unit. The name is Steve Jones.
My wife picked answered. This man asked my wife to have me call him back. I will never call back.

Received same scam call from Danny Williams from the "tax crime investigation unit" in Washington DC.  His indian accent is so strong that most of the message is unintelligible but he threatens that I'll get arrested.  Danny Williams was the name of the  Hawaii Five-O detective.

told me he with some tax crime investigation office, trying to reach us for months...read to me an irs affidavit and threatened with legal action...

It is a scam.
The call is from crooks trying to trick you into sending them money or your personal account info.
It is a form of fraud and ID theif known as "Phishing"
Did Danny Williams tell you that Steve McGarrett would be the one arresting you?  "Book'um Danno"
The reason they are telling you they are at that address is to scare you.

As per Williams that since 2008 to 2011 there is some calculation error and we are going to sue you. I dont know why we are getting these kind of calls although we have a letter from IRS that I dont owe any thing.

caller has called me for a week now saying I have committed tax fraud. Told him my mother retired from IRS and I know they would never contact me by phone only mail. He got very upset and warned me about sending 2 police officers to my door to collect. I laughed and thanked him. reported him to atty general office

Got a call today. Twice .IRS payments regarding the notice letters

Got a call today, twice. Scary message from a man named officer Douglas Williams (strong Indian accent with that name, lol!) who said my husband committed tax fraud. No way, we are law abiding tax paying citizens. This is a disgrace and if he ever calks back I will give a piece of my mind.

We got a call too.  The IRS will never call the way this freak is calling and stating his reason.  Told my wife that if this creep calls again, she should say "this call is being traced and will be turned over to the police".  All traced calls do go to the police.
