I received a very harassing phone call this morning.  This guy claimed to be CID calling on behalf of the IRS.  His associate was the first one on the call and threatened my arrest if I didn't talk to his senior investigation officer, Michael Anderson.  Both guys were hard to understand and had an Indian accent.  Once "Michael" got on the call he preceded to list of my name as well as both my siblings stating that we were in major trouble with the IRS and would be arrested within the hour if we didn't cooperate.  I was thrown off guard and it took me a while to catch on.  I ended up asking for his badge # (15938) and phone number (202.239.6652) and Googled it while I was on the call and found this page thank god.  I hung up on him but he has called me 10 times in the last 10 minutes.  I finally blocked his number.  This is scary stuff but if you see this, please take the additional step of contacting FTC.GOV and reporting this telemarketing scam to get this guy off the phones/street.

I have received a similar message from a person with a male voice speaking a hard to understand English.  He presented himself as Harry Jones, criminal investigator form the criminal investigation division, with ID badge number 15938, and asked me to call back urgently to "rectify" some type of fraud.  Frustrating, to say the least, that this person is free to continue making these phone calls presenting him self as a criminal investigator.

Got the same call but from an agent Nick stating that there was a warrant out for my mother's arrest and that we had to call him right away as the issue was time sensitive. He gave the badge number of 15938. I plan on contacting my detective friend to see if there is anyway to track this guy. It's illegal to pretend to be a crime investigation agent.

Same scam with the special agent; when I started laughing that I was about to get arrested he hang up. Do not fall for these guys and report them

Got a phone call today from a guy name "Agent" Roy he names my whole family members then says "but I am mostly concerned about your father, someone has placed a warrant against him. I need to speak with him immediately, if he doesn't speak with me he will have to go to court." I tried to get some more info to why, he said he cannot give me any information. Just know if he doesn't call it's his loss not mine. I am so thankful for finding this website, because i got the call while i was driving and i started crying and freaking out.

received same phone call- agent GORDEN (maybe Jordan) Rae demanding to speak with my husband about tax fraud and a need to contact back within 45 minutes- had a VERY thick Hispanic accent.
asked him which dept of govt the matter was associated with- he said Criminal Investigation Division and would not elaborate as to WHICH division/dept within the organization he was calling from. Seemed like he had no idea there are many departments within each division- he kept repeating same general division and threat.
He insisted several times my husband and then myself would "be behind bars" unless we contacted them back within 45 min.

I am taking this as a scam- and hope others receiving call to do the same.
Think is because our phone number is listed in the phone book.

I received same prank call form Patrick twice. His phone number is 2022396932. I called him and  asked him to provide his credential, and phone number, his boss name and phone number, the department he works for. He immediately hanged up the phone. I tried to call him again and he did not answer the phone anymore.

Same person called and left a message with the same text as above. Didn't call back but submitted a Do Not Call list violation online.

I got the same call from "Agent" Harry Jones. Naturally I am ignoring it.

I also got a called from this guy.  
His call came in from the number: (212) 241-2073. His number to call back was: (202) 239-6932
He said he had found on my tax return that I had tried to hide something from the Federal Government on my tax return and I only had a few hours to call him back or there would be no way out of this fraud. His name was Richard Williams Bade #15938. Yeah, right! His accent was so heavy I could barely understand him.
I feel so sorry for the people that don?t realize this is a scheme to get money?

I received same massage from 2022396932 asking me to call him back, his name hawee johns, it was hard to understand the message because of accent, I called , Michel Anderson spoke to me and said  I have a warrant arrest against me warren # CFI-88-291' he asked me to tell him my phone number and full name. I said you called me you know my number, his tone became aggressive and said"he will report to the local police in my area and I will be in jail within 72 hours. My property will be confiscated. And he hang up on me.

I received the same message on my ansering machine. This time it is from agent harrid jones, id 15938

Call from same number, 202-239-6932, same story.  Dufus with an accent says his name is Michael Anderson ID #15938, senior criminal investigator.  I'm supposed to call him ...at the end of the message he says "Have a blessed day"  So yeah it is a scam.  Scum bags can't get a real job and have to try to trick people.

I got the same message on my voice mail. Below is the script. Which investigation would say "be blessed" at the end of such a call:)
"Message is for month. I do Mister Rado this is Patrick gross(?) this is special agent from the crime investigation division at gloucester-from(?) Washington DC issue on the hand is extremely time sensitive and is after your party. We have found that there was a fraud misconduct on-the(?) your text that you hide from the federal governments(?) just need to be rectified immediately before we transfer this file to your local police department contacted the crime investigation line 2022396932 2022396932 and ask for special agent such rogers(?) goodbye. Be blessed."

I received a call from these people also, Special Agent Richard Williamson Badge ID # 15938 and he said i have a warrant for my arrest for tax fraud.    He put his "lieutenant" on with me and when i questioned him by asking him "how do i know who you are? and, how do i know that you are who you say you are"?  well he got mad and said he will not talk to me any further and i should be prepared to be arrested and then he hung up on me.  i called my local percent and talked to an officer who ran my name to see if there is a warrant and of course, THERE ISN'T.  so, beware this is some sort of scam and i'll be calling the FBI to see if i can report them.

This guy calls me from 202-239-6932 and leaves a message saying that he is a special agent from Criminal Investigation Division (CID) with badge # 15938. He says that the issue at hand is time sensitive and requires me to call him back as soon as I receive his message. He says somethings about a fraud in my debt, etc. but I couldn't understand all his message because of his heavy accent.

Anyone received a similar call? It smells totally fake to me. What can I do to stop this type of calls?
