I got called from this number in an Indian accent. I knew it was a scam because the IRS NEVER calls home , only you can call them so I knew it was a scam. And second clue, his name was Devon Jackson. No Indian has a name like that. So I said send me papers for proof and the guy said he doesn't have time so now he's going to have the police come and arrest me. I said f**k you the police are going to find you and the guy cussed back and hung up. After that I called again and messed around again and he kept hanging up. BEWARE. Indians are behind this and THESE CALLS ARE SCAMS. Our government better get behind this now. I wonder who got cheated.

Attempted scam. Caller has heavy Indian accent. Claim that he is from "Federal Investigation Department" under "IRS". Caller tried to scare me saying there is a warrent for our arrest and will cease our properties. Asked me to call his superior on the same phone number 202-239-7034 with different extension. I did call but the call cannot go through. Last call return (*69) showed the same number.

202 239 7034 called with East Indian voice saying "Hello, this is Officer Brian Jackson from the Federal Investigation Department.  Somebody has filled against your person, and we have not heard from your side.  You must call me at . . .  May God help you."

Received 2 threatening phone calls from the "Federal Investigation Bureau" from a man with an Indian accent who claimed his name was "Officer Dan Wilson".  (first clue, what Indian is named Dan Wilson?)  They said they were from the IRS and when I said I'd have my tax attorney call him he said "Don't waste my time.  I will have the authorities come and get you", and hung up on me.  Spread the word.  I hope no one is falling for this!

These people are pathetic and need to put down. Quite literally. Fruad to the max!! Selfish lay abouts trying to make a pretty penny from one in a thousand because they are selfish, morally f***ed, and to stupid to make a positive living!

Received a message from this number to call back.  It was for my husband, using only his first name.  The voice sounded disguised and was very low, I had to put up the volume to its highest, and place my ear to the recorder, to be able to hear the message.   He stated that there was a complaint against my husband.  He threatened to seize all his assets and arrest him for 3 years, as well as take away the house.

I've had two of these calls this week. I called both of them back after getting their voicemails. Both of them claimed to be from the IRS and that I owed money. For the first one, I blocked my number, gave them a fake name and phone number, and they claimed to have found my record and told me that I can use a moneygram and clear it up right now for $645, or else I would be arrested. I played along, of course, told him that I would go and purchase a moneygram. Then, I asked him if I could pee on his face. Of course, he started saying all kinds of nasty things to me while I laughed and made fun of him. The second time, after going through all of the "verification", I was told that I owed $625. So, I told him that I was going to f*** his mother, his wife, his sister, and then him later tonight. Of course, that made him angry and he started calling me racist names that didn't even apply. I enjoy messing with these people and wasting their time.

This jerk called me too and claimed that he works for IRS and he is going to send agents to arrest me and asked to pay him $1475 by phone. When I called the IRS and a message said they will not receive payment over the phone, I knew he was scammer.

"Chief Brian Jackson" called looking for my dad today-my mom freaked out. it was easy to realize that no Indian is named Brian Jackson.

bunch of crooks tried scamming today. Introduce himself from a special branch of IRS and accused of complaints against me by IRS that I have not paid my taxes and sending an officer for arresting me. He wanted to verify my address and ssn#.  I had to tell to go F**k himself as few of friends work for IRS and he hung up. They need to be prosecuted.

Just received yet another call. We have multiple messages and calls and continue to be bothered and harassed. Please let us know what can be done to shut them down.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Just got a call from them. The first guy Steve gave his badge # of 363236, and informed that I was under a federal investigation and this was the final notice.  He acted very shocked when I said this was the first I had heard of this, and had not received any info on this. He then said "the only person that can help you is the chief Brian Jackson" and transferred me to Brian -- similar accent as Steve's. He told me that there was a warrant and that I was being investigated by IRS and Dept. of Homeland Security for violation of "3 important laws." He started to ask me personal questions, and I told him I need to consult with my lawyer. I asked him his badge number and he said # 154236. He said local police would come and arrest me within one hour and I would be in jail for up to 72 hours. When I asked for the number to call him, he informed that it's on my caller ID and then simply hung up.

Signed up on Tango as the phone number (202-239-7034) and it automatically downloaded 2 contact names: "AnEeS AhMaD" and "Ramandeep Kaur".  called it and a lady without an accent answered as the "IRS investigative branch" but told me to "get off the line" after asking for her credentials.

Guy with a foreign accent pretending to be a law officer wanted to talk to me regarding my ss# saying my physical address
is under investigation. same people as 202 241 8978 scam.

TOTAL SCAM. THEY ARE CALLING FROM INDIA , OR INDIAN IN USA. USING DEVICES LIKE MAGIC JACK. ANYWAY IT WONT BE TOO LONG TO GET THEM , CAUSE LAW AGENCIES ARE BEHIND THEM.
