I just got the same call. Stating I ordered online diet pills in 2007! I said really your asking me about something 5 years ago and what I remember about the order? When he said he has copy of my phone records and knows I've been talking to them I said that's funny I know who I talk to on my phone and there won't be a record of me talking to anyone from there! he was going to investigate it and call me back. But they could arrest me at anytime all he has to do is tell them to go ahead and asked if I had a lawyer, I said I sure do and a damn good one.

Same as everyone else.  Said he was "Special Agent John David" with the Food and Drug Administration - Criminal Investigation unit. He left a message when I did not answer.  I called and received a voicemail.  They never called back.  The Feds need to catch these guys - nasty stuff!

And Western Union and MoneyGram are NOW asking people if they personally know the person they are wiring money to.  This is combat this type of extortion attempt.

They don't want you to tell Western Union as they will advise of the scam!

Same thing happened to me. It really scared me. But when the guy said I couldn't tell anyone, I started to realize something was fishy.

Oh and forgot to add that the person that initially answered the phone was obviously a man trying to sound like a woman.. and her name was "Cindy". That was what gave it away immediately. I think it was actually the same person.. and he pretended to be a receptionist and then transferred the call to the "agent". That part was actually kinda funny.. He didn't really do a very good woman's voice. Maybe if he gets sent to prison.. he'll get better at that! :)

Got a message from "Special Agent John Davis" yesterday afternoon. Gave me the same spiel as everyone else on here.. I told him I didn't have a clue what he was talking about and I thanked him for his time and hung up. He said that he had my phone records and gave me my address (which was kinda scary... sure) and said that they were investigating a company in the Dominican Republic. I can't believe they are still trying this scam.. This appears to have been going on for years... they must still be getting something out of it! Fear is an amazing motivator for people. Glad it wasn't for me (this time). Be safe out there!

I just got that call yesterday from a john davis. He said I was under fed investigation for purchasing online drug. He said I was going to federal prison for 2-5 years with a 250,00.00 dollar fine! Then he told me I was under surveillance and that I should sennd 500.00 by western union to the Dominican Republic and my name would be cleared. My husband called our sheriffs office and our friend a retired judge and another friend a retired det. all said this is a scam! DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY...HANG UP AND DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANY CONVERSATION. These are actually drug dealers posing as DEA agents.

My  Mom just got the same person calling!  Tell them your calling the main branch in your area and speak to a supervisor!  That should stop them.

01/15/2012 today I recieved a call from a Special Agent John Davis from the FDA, Human Resources Division, caller ID came across Washington D.C. w/this #.  He suggested it was in my best interest to call @ my earliest convience.  When I called I got a recording w/his voice asking me to leave a message & someone would get back to me.  I agree the FDA or DEA would not send a warning via phone, they would be @ my door. Right? Right!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a call from this number saying that they were officers from the US FDA (food and drug admin) and requesting information regarding a purchase I made from overseas vendors.  I don't even know what they are talking about and they kept interrogating me asking questions like, I know you purchased this drug on this day and you can be put in jail for what you did so it's best you just answer our questions....almost harrasing.  I am worried this is a scam.  Anyone have any calls from this number as well?

This guy called me back in August from another phone number 207-767-7542.  Google that number, you'll read the same story.  He left me the same message he did back in August, except this time he is from Washington DC, in August he was from Kentucky.  What a do***e bag.  Needs to get a life. All they want is to scare people and try and get money.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO!!!

Here is a post from googling 207-767-7542:
I received a call from the same number but they said "I was under criminal investigaion investigation & I needed to call them immediately"

Never believe them. The real police DEA would be knocking down your door. In the the US, we don't usually send people to the Dominican Republic before people are charged, and rights are read & either a deal is made or the go to court. Where if you do end up in jail its HERE in the US not in a foreign country. I don't know I could be wrong. But that was my limited understanding of the judicial system. I never answer them. I know too many cops, if need be I.ll go to them for help.  Funny thing I didn't order nor receive anything.
