These clowns called and said i would be arrested for failing to pay taxes. They said to call back in 20 minutes or else i would be arrested. BULL SH*T!

Then a week later they called and said some drugs were sent to my home and they will help me with the police for only $3,000.00.

Yesterday they called and said they could loan me $50,000.00 if i sent then $2,000.00 for a transaction fee.

These callers have thick Indian accents and are scammers! DO NOT ANSWER THEIR LIES! I reported this to the police and they are aware of it. An investigation is in progress with local law enforcement GOOD!!.

The "IRS" called (funny how no one at the IRS has an understandable accent)  from this # and asked for my son on voice mail.  I called back and they told me I would be arrested In an hour.  I told them I was calling IRS and they hung up on me so I called back and had some fun!  Bottom line is "Matty Willsworth" is meeting me at the "county state" courthouse tomorrow for my trial at 2:30!!  I don't think I'll show up!

I just received the call and they left a message at my home answering machine.  My wife called me in panic I called back the number 202-241-2103 and the guy wanted my number to verify and I asked him for his name he replied but could not understand him so I asked him to spell it and tell me his title.  He kept asking me for my number so I hung up.  It is kind of scary how they can get a hold of your info.

I got the very same call half an hour ago. The person on the phone had a very thick oriental accent and his English was hard to understand. Judging the background noise, he was calling from a crowded call center. Same story; there is an arrest warrant against me and if this issue can not be resolved now, police will be at my doorstep within two hours.
Well, I knew this scam very well. As a matter of fact, it was covered at a local TV news program not long ago.
I acted stupid and let him tell me the whole story. Meanwhile, I had my iPod handy and recorded the whole 17 minute conversation.
I was asked to go to a nearest Radio Shack store and get a $1,249 worth pre-paid card, he called this "government document" and asked me to call him back on my cell phone as soon as I purchased the card. When I said I did not have a cellphone, he asked me to borrow one from a neighbor, since this call is very important.

At this point, my wife who was in the room and listening to this comedy, could not stand any longer; picked up the phone and yeld at this guy that she knew this was a scam and asked him not to call this number ever again and hung up.
He had the nerve to call back right away and asked her if she wanted me to go to jail. She yelled YES and hung up again.
I will call the IRS scam line and report this incident.

WASHINGTON ? The Internal Revenue Service today warned consumers about a sophisticated phone scam targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, throughout the country.

Victims are told they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a pre-loaded debit card or wire transfer. If the victim refuses to cooperate, they are then threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver?s license. In many cases, the caller becomes hostile and insulting.

?This scam has hit taxpayers in nearly every state in the country.  We want to educate taxpayers so they can help protect themselves.  Rest assured, we do not and will not ask for credit card numbers over the phone, nor request a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer,? says IRS Acting Commissioner Danny Werfel. ?If someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the IRS and threatens police arrest, deportation or license revocation if you don?t pay immediately, that is a sign that it really isn?t the IRS calling.? Werfel noted that the first IRS contact with taxpayers on a tax issue is likely to occur via mail
Other characteristics of this scam include:
Scammers use fake names and IRS badge numbers. They generally use common names and surnames to identify themselves.
Scammers may be able to recite the last four digits of a victim?s Social Security Number.
Scammers spoof the IRS toll-free number on caller ID to make it appear that it?s the IRS calling.
Scammers sometimes send bogus IRS emails to some victims to support their bogus calls.
Victims hear background noise of other calls being conducted to mimic a call site.
After threatening victims with jail time or driver?s license revocation, scammers hang up and others soon call back pretending to be from the local police or DMV, and the caller ID supports their claim.
If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, here?s what you should do:
If you know you owe taxes or you think you might owe taxes, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS employees at that line can help you with a payment issue ? if there really is such an issue.
If you know you don?t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you?ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.
If you?ve been targeted by this scam, you should also contact the Federal Trade Commission and use their ?FTC Complaint Assistant? at FTC.gov.  Please add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments of your complaint.
Taxpayers should be aware that there are other unrelated scams (such as a lottery sweepstakes) and solicitations (such as debt relief) that fraudulently claim to be from the IRS.
The IRS encourages taxpayers to be vigilant against phone and email scams that use the IRS as a lure. The IRS does not initiate contact with taxpayers by email to request personal or financial information.  This includes any type of electronic communication, such as text messages and social media channels. The IRS also does not ask for PINs, passwords or similar confidential access information for credit card, bank or other financial accounts. Recipients should not open any attachments or click on any links contained in the message. Instead, forward the e-mail to phishing@irs.gov.

More information on how to report phishing scams involving the IRS is available on the genuine IRS website, IRS.gov.

My wife received a voicemail from this number stating his name was George Thompson (with heavy foreign accent and loud background noise) from the CID Claims Investigation Dept. and gave a Federal Bank ID number. Stated their was a claim against her by the Registration Inspector General for Tax Administration. Also stated her SSN was under investigation. Tried to call number back but was only given the choice to leave a message with the investigations division of IRS.
