Officer from IRS. Call back with Attorney. We won't be responsible for what happens to you. Blah blah blah. They actually got me on the phone weeks ago but hung up because I refused to cave AND was calling back from another phone. SCAM!! The IRS will not do this.

a bunch of Indians (India/Pakistan) again, calling and saying i've won a free trip and they are planning another
"rip everyone off session" at the Holiday Inn Express The Villages FL Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8.
Apparently by looking at all the information on the web about this company, there is no free trip and you have to pay up
front a few thousands of dollars and if you want to get your money back, you have to really do some fighting.
Also, it appears from the blogs that they say they are BBB approved and in calling BBB today, they are not.
They also give out a number in Buffalo for a contact number but it's just a big sweat room where they can't even answer the phone with the company name or give their actual address. It's all a big secret.
If you see this and you are thinking about going and losing your money to this company, think about it. There is no free ride.

My girlfriend got the same call, same threats. I got on the phone and he hung up, so I called back and got rude with him. I'm pretty sure the IRS won't swear back at me like this clown did, lol. I have a lot of time so I think harassing him would be fun.

someone left me a voice message today from 202-241-3122 with an indian accent and introduced himself as an IRS agent. when I called back; he introduced himself as Jason Clark an IRS officer. He demanded $27K and started threatening me arresting and filing lawsuits and I have to be in the court because I did tax crime and IRS is going to freeze my assets, etc, he offered me out of the court adjustments by paying $1800, and if I did not pay the money by the following day, I have to face the criminal charges. He raised his voice when I started questioning him as he sounded suspicious. even though when I asked him to call me from IRS number then he also even called me from IRS Toll free Number 1-800-829-1040, I hung up and called IRS (victim of Identity Theft Toll-Free 1-800-908-4490); they stated that I do not owe anything.

Yeah, Jason Clark keeps calling my house as well. I only wish I could meet him face to face and pay him with a good foot on his back side!

I got a call for my husband on my phone today with a woman on the line asking him to call immediately that she was with the Internal Revenue Department. I know the real IRS doesn't say "Department" so I knew it was a scam. When you can't understand what the person is saying on the other end, just hang up!

From Jason Clark. Telling me to call or have my attorney call and he prayed for me in this matter...ha! No one in the government speaks like that. He also had an Indian accent and has called twice. I wonder how we shut him down? What is hysterical is that I got a refund...moron!!

WASHINGTON ? The Internal Revenue Service today warned consumers about a sophisticated phone scam targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, throughout the country.
Victims are told they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a pre-loaded debit card or wire transfer. If the victim refuses to cooperate, they are then threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver?s license. In many cases, the caller becomes hostile and insulting.
?This scam has hit taxpayers in nearly every state in the country. We want to educate taxpayers so they can help protect themselves. Rest assured, we do not and will not ask for credit card numbers over the phone, nor request a pre-paid debit card or wire transfer,? says IRS Acting Commissioner Danny Werfel. ?If someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the IRS and threatens police arrest, deportation or license revocation if you don?t pay immediately, that is a sign that it really isn?t the IRS calling.? Werfel noted that the first IRS contact with taxpayers on a tax issue is likely to occur via mail
Other characteristics of this scam include:
Scammers use fake names and IRS badge numbers. They generally use common names and surnames to identify themselves.
Scammers may be able to recite the last four digits of a victim?s Social Security Number.
Scammers spoof the IRS toll-free number on caller ID to make it appear that it?s the IRS calling.
Scammers sometimes send bogus IRS emails to some victims to support their bogus calls.
Victims hear background noise of other calls being conducted to mimic a call site.
After threatening victims with jail time or driver?s license revocation, scammers hang up and others soon call back pretending to be from the local police or DMV, and the caller ID supports their claim.
If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS, here?s what you should do:
If you know you owe taxes or you think you might owe taxes, call the IRS at 1.800.829.1040. The IRS employees at that line can help you with a payment issue ? if there really is such an issue.
If you know you don?t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you?ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.
If you?ve been targeted by this scam, you should also contact the Federal Trade Commission and use their ?FTC Complaint Assistant? at FTC.gov. Please add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments of your complaint.
Taxpayers should be aware that there are other unrelated scams (such as a lottery sweepstakes) and solicitations (such as debt relief) that fraudulently claim to be from the IRS.
The IRS encourages taxpayers to be vigilant against phone and email scams that use the IRS as a lure. The IRS does not initiate contact with taxpayers by email to request personal or financial information. This includes any type of electronic communication, such as text messages and social media channels. The IRS also does not ask for PINs, passwords or similar confidential access information for credit card, bank or other financial accounts. Recipients should not open any attachments or click on any links contained in the message. Instead, forward the e-mail to phishing@irs.gov.
More information on how to report phishing scams involving the IRS is available on the genuine IRS website, IRS.gov.

Got yet another message from Jason Clarke, same as many have posted above stating good luck if you or your lawyer doesn't return this call. Annoying.

Keep getting calls from this number. No messages. Finally picked up and it was someone stating that they were calling from the IRS regarding a lawsuit against me for unpaid taxes. Seemed fishy from the start. They he faked surprise when I said I did not know about any lawsuit and stated that he needed to transfer me to a supervisor and put me on hold. I then hung up the call. Immediately got another call back but again no message. I submitted an official online complaint with the FTC.

I received several calls from 202-241-3122 & 512-614-8252 an Indian called himself Jason Clark and once from Richard Lewis. Both of them left a message stating that they are from the IRS, and if I or my Attorney do not call soon to discuss my case.

Same call..claimed to be Jason Clark from the crime division at IRS..threatening all sorts of repercussions. We asked him if he was sure he wasn't Jason Bourne from Bourne Identity--he hung up. These guys are a disgrace. What a scam. Sad people resort to making money by preying on people's fears.
